Welcome! Here you will find all of my prayer letters written ever since I started the ministry as a Missionary to Honduras, and then as I now am as a Missionary to the Spanish-Speaking People of the Americas. We hope to update this with our current prayer letter that we send out every two months.

May - June 2008

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.  Abstain from all appearance of evil... Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.  Brethren, pray for us.  (1 Thes. 5:21-22 & 24-25)

Dear fellow soldiers in the army of the Lord,

The three most important doctrines of the Christian faith are those of salvation, sanctification, and the scriptures.  As we battle religious apostasy in these last days, we continually find those who call themselves Bible Believers departing from these basic fundamentals.  How sad to see that many have chosen compromise instead of conviction.  But we remain stedfast and unmoveable in the work of the Lord, preaching the Old Time Way of salvation, the old King James Bible, and the need for Christians to live sanctified, Spirit-filled lives.
I wish I could say that because of our harsh stand we’ve prospered and have been blessed beyond measure.  However the opposite is true.  We’ve receive opposition from every side, especially from those who once stood with us.  With each passing year we feel more alone, as more preachers and pastors depart from God’s word to follow man’s vain traditions, choosing the way of ease and prosperity instead of suffering reproach for the sake of Christ.  But we thank God for those faithful few, like yourselves, that have tarried with the stuff (1 Sam. 30:24), and have purposed in their hearts like Daniel not to defile themselves (Dan. 1:8), nor cower down to increasing religious and political pressure to bow the knee to Baal (Rom. 11:4).  And though our numbers slowly dwindle, we encourage you to stand fast in the faith (1 Cor. 16:13), “redeeming the time, because the days are evil,” (Eph. 5:16) “...for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.” (James 5:8)

FINALLY BEING ORDAINED!

Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.  (1 Tim. 1:6)

In August of 2001, I left for Honduras as a missionary sent from my old church in Florida.  A few weeks before leaving, I asked to be ordained, as Paul in Acts 13:1-5, desiring to follow the word of God completely.  However, I was told, “We don’t do that here.  You go and start a work, and when you come back, we might ordain you.
They never did, and that always bothered me.  It was also one of the reasons I felt that God wanted me to leave that church.  It wasn’t until this year that my dream of being ordained came to pass.
Laura and I traveled to our home church in Monterrey, Mexico and my Pastor, Bro. Raul Reyes, held an ordination service in my honor on Sunday, May 25th, 2008.  All the men of the church came forward and placed their hands on me and prayed for me.  I am finally ordained and sent Biblically according to the word of God!

THE PURE WORD OF GOD FINALLY IN SPANISH!

...but the word of God is not bound.  (2 Tim. 2:9)

When I went to Honduras the first time in 1998, all I had was the corrupt 1960 Critical Text Spanish Bible, which reads with the corrupt English RSV on many occasions.  As I studied why that Spanish Bible had errors, I learned about the movement towards a pure Spanish Bible, and during that time, my old home church began defending the 1865 Mora and Pratt perversion, claiming it was the best.  But after studying that version, I found it to be a Valera-Catholic hybrid, which also contained critical text readings.  (Another reason I decided to leave that church).
But thank God for my home church in Monterrey Mexico, which has faithfully translated the Bible into Spanish using the Textus Receptus in the New Testament, and the Hebrew Ben-Chayim in the Old Testament, as well as collating older Castellan Bibles, and the KJV, publishing it under the name of the 1602 Purficada (The purified 1602 Spanish Bible)!
THE WHOLE BIBLE IS FINALLY FINISHED AND 5000 WHOLE BIBLES HAVE BEEN PRINTED with another 30,000 NEW TESTAMENTS!  Thank God we can finally get people a pure whole Spanish Bible with no critical text readings whatsoever!
However, we are continually praying for more funds in order to print more whole Bibles.  The need is great, and there are many who want a copy, but the church is small, and funds are wanting.  Please pray that we might find churches and printing presses willing to print this whole Spanish Bible. (P.S. I drove up to Tennesse in June to get 500 copies.  I now have these available for those interested.)
MY BOOK FINALLY PRINTED!

...I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand. (1 Peter 5:12)

As the darkness of apostasy hangs like a cloud over the church, the doctrine of salvation has been continually attacked and yeah, even changed.  Shallow soul winning abounds in our churches and no one seems to be bold enough to say anything about it.  Sadly, the precious, soul-saving blood of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is being treaded underfoot by compromising mega church movements who care more about gaining numbers than true converts.
With this in mind, I wrote a book entitled, “The Importance of the Blood of Jesus Christ.” I wanted to get this book out several months ago, but lack of support, time, and ink have hindered me.  But thank God for my Dad, who’s helped my ministry in many ways.  With his help, I’m finally able to send out this humble work to you.  May it remind you of the importance of not only mentioning the blood of Jesus when you preach the Gospel to lost souls, but encourage you to stress their need of trusting solely upon the blood atonement of Christ as their only means of salvation.  For even though apostates modernists don’t believe it, and don’t preach it, THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST HIS SON IS THE ONLY THING THAT CAN WASH OUR SINS AWAY!!!

FINALLY SEEING SOULS SAVED!

...He which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. (James 5:20)

In these last minutes before the rapture, it’s getting harder and harder to win souls.  You know the feeling, sometimes you feel like your banging your head against the wall telling lost souls how to be born again, but they just don’t respond.  Most are just not interested.  They care only about cars, houses, land, riches, entertainment and sinful pleasures.
This makes it easy to get discouraged, especially when we are actively trying to win people to Jesus Christ.  And sometimes we go through spiritual droughts where we see no fruit in our ministry.  But just when we think we can’t take it anymore, and God doesn’t love us, that’s when God sends the “showers of blessings.”
While in Mexico in June, we traveled to Tampico, where I preached for Pastor Silvestre Vasquez.  On Saturday night, after I preached a Gospel message to the young people, a young man came down the aisle and trusted Jesus Christ as his Saviour!  We also saw a few more saved while I preached there on Sunday and Monday!

FINAL WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT!

Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.  (Titus 2:8)

Probably the greatest sin in the church today is gossip.  People say things they should not, and others get hurt because of it.  But this ought not so to be.  The Bible commands us in James 4:11, “Speak not evil one of another, brethren…”
I mention this as my wife and I have recently been vehemently attacked by jealous and misunderstanding brethren, and it has cost us several meetings and support.  Further willing to hurt, instead of uplift and encourage, they’ve spread vicious lies saying ridiculous things like, “Robert Breaker is a bad missionary because he writes books and spends all day on the computer working on his website instead of winning souls.”
But they speak that which they know not (Jude 1:9).  I’m out soul winning and passing out tracts every week, and every day when I’m on trips evangelizing.  I’ve also not worked on my website much.  My Dad’s been so good to me to help me with it, as he’s been the one updating it.  Further, I honestly didn’t know it was a sin to write books!  Does that mean the Apostle Paul was a bad apostle for writing thirteen epistles?  What about men like: Charles H. Spurgeon, Watchman Nee, John Bunyan, John R. Rice, R.A. Torrey, Andrew Murray, Peter S. Ruckman, M.R. DeHaan, Sam Gipp etc.?
Normally, I wouldn’t mention attacks such as these against us in a prayer letter.  I bring this up only to say a hearty “Thank You!” to all of you who know us, and have stood with us and encouraged us through all of this.  Thanks again for all your continued prayers and support!   It is easy to get discouraged, but God is still on the throne.  And I’ve learned most of the time our discouragement comes from where our focus is.  While in Monterrey, my Pastor told me that we should not dwell on the bad things we see, rather on the good.  In other words, our sight should be on things above, not on things below (Col. 3:2).  His words of encouragement strengthened me, and God gave me a message to preach my last night there from Numbers chapter 13 entitled: “What do you see: Giants or Grapes?  I won’t explain the sermon, as the title is self-explanatory. But I would like to leave you with a word of encouragement.  Though the giants (problems, trials, and tribulations) might be big in our lives, God always leaves enough grapes (blessings) to supply our need, and show us that he loves us.  So just keep serving God, for with God on our side, we can defeat any giant just like David did!

Looking up for our redemption draweth nigh,

            Robert and Laurabeth Breaker III
            1 Sam. 12:24!

SOME FAITHFUL MEN WE’VE MET

In our last days, just seconds before the rapture, it’s good to know that not everyone has departed from sound Biblical doctrine, and there are others out there still preaching the blood, the book, and the blessed hope.  These last two months, I’ve met some of them, and have had a great time with them.  I’ve also learned some things from them.  Iron sharpeneth iron,” the Bible says, and it’s good to fellowship and learn from men who’ve been in the ministry for long periods of time, and remain stedfast, unwavering in their beliefs and convictions.

BRO. JOHN CRISP IN AMERICAS, KANSAS

Bro. John Crisp in Americas, Kansas has been in the ministry for over 20 years.  And not only is he a Pastor, but also a real-life shepherd.  We had a great meeting with him the 3rd to the 12th of May.  He taught me a lot about sheep.  Did you know sheep have tails?  I was surprised to see this, as most modern sheep wranglers cut the tails of their flock.
As we walked the pasture and saw the sheep, Bro. Crisp expounded many Biblical truths to me about sheep and shepherds.              The most amazing thing was seeing how he had them all named, and they knew their names and came when they were called!
It was also interesting to see that he knew each one, and could tell them apart.  They all looked exactly the same to me, but as a shepherd, he’d spent enough time with them and knew them and their characteristics.
Bro. Crisp explained how keeping sheep helped him to pastor a church.  He then told me how people are like sheep in many ways:  they whine, they hunger, they fight, they seek approval, and more.  But what stood out most in my mind was how needy sheep are.  They are one of the only animals that exist on earth that can’t live without someone to protect them!
Bro. Crisp also has an organic farm, and taught me a lot about tilling the ground.  He also taught us many things about planting and harvesting.  The spiritual lessons of this to soul winning are boundless, and there is not enough time or space here to present examples.
Probably the most important lesson I learned, was the importance of having something that’s natural and organic—i.e. MADE BY GOD, instead of things that come from chemicals and genetic engineering—i.e. MADE BY MAN.  For a diet of what man offers will make you weak, but the things God offers will strengthen and nourish you to help you grow!

PASTOR SILVESTRE VASQUEZ IN TAMPICO

Bro. Silvestre Vasquez is Pastor of Iglesia Bautista Nuevo Tampico in Tampico, Mexico, which he started in 1990.  Bro. Silvestre is a hard, stern man who’s known for his righteous indignation against apostasy and vain tradition in the church.  In fact, some have labeled him, “The Ruckman of Mexico.”
But I found Bro. Vasquez to be the most humble and caring man, full of wisdom and profound words of advice.
May 30th to June 3rd, my wife and I had a great time of fellowship with Bro. Vasquez and his family.  And we found a man who not only serves God of a pure heart, but also gives of himself willingly to the cause of Christ, spreading himself thin at times.
Along with his duties as Pastor, Bro. Vasquez also prints a bi-monthly publication called La Voz Bautista de Mexico (The Baptist Voice of Mexico), written mostly to Pastors, compelling them to stand firm on sound doctrine, as well as encouraging them to live a holy Christian life.  His magazine also exposes false teachings such as evolution, pentecostalism, the modern tongues and healing movement, and more
His skills as a prolific writer, complement his ability to preach in Spanish.  And God has given him a great orating gift.  I’ve never met a man who can give an invitation at the end of service better than Bro. Silvestre Vasquez!
