December 1999

Dear praying friends,

The month of December was spent a lot closer to home than the months prior.  November was spent in New England and surrounding areas.  But, December was spent mostly in Alabama and Tennessee with meetings all along the way.
December was a prosperous month, I had three new Churches take me on for support!  In one Church that I went to, everyone in the Church was sick.  No one showed up but the Pastor and the Assistant Pastor.  When I came in, they told me that everyone was sick and unable to attend.  But, they said they'd take me on for support anyway.  That was a first.  I've never had a Church take me on without seeing my slides or hearing me preach.  That was a real blessing.
In Oneida, Tennessee, I was invited to be in a Christmas Parade with the Church there.  The Church had a float in the parade with a big Bible on it.  We had probably 40 people from the Church involved and we passed out tracts adn streetpreached in the parade.  There were streetpreachers in front of the float preaching and some behind the float preaching.  At one time I counted 6 preachers preaching to the crowd at one time as we walked down the streets!  It was awesome.  People standing on the side of the road were getting six different sermons as we walked by!  And, everyone else from the Church was passing out tracts.  We soaked that town with the Gospel!  I noticed many folks had two or three tracts, and still kept taking more.  I don't remember seeing anyone turn one down.
For Christmas, I went to Oklahoma where my mother and her family live.  I was able to witness to them, but they are hard to win to the Lord.  The best way I knew how, I gave my grandmother Lord the Gospel, but her mind kept wandering.  It's hard to deal with older people.  She'll be 89 in January.  (Please pray for her).  I was also able to show them my slides from Honduras, and preach to them through those.
I had a great opportunity to witness to my cousin's husband for over 30 minutes as he was driving me to my Mom's house.  He and I were alone, and he began asking me questions because he knew I was a Preacher.   I asked him if he had ever been saved.  He said he was saved one day when he was flying his airplane and the wind was howling at over 40 knots.  He couldn't land safely, and had to circle the airport four times.  During that time, he prayed adn asked God to help him land the plane.  He finally brought it down safely, but it was a little bumpy.  He thought God saved him from crashing, adn that was what I mean by "being saved."
I explained to him the difference of being saved physically adn spiritually.  "You must be born again!" I told him.  He listened intenly, but wouldn't say much.  Finally, he started talking about his Philosophy class adn about how he learned about different religions.  He went on and on about that.  I told him, "Religion is what a man does to justify himself before God.  But Salvation is what a man takes when he realizes he is a Sinner, and must have God's righteousness."  Then, I quoted Eph. 2:8 and 9 and some other verses. He started talking about faith, and asked me, "What is faith?"  Before I could answer, he said, "So and so says it's that and my friend said it was that... etc."  Praying and asking God for wisdom, I finally told him, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen!"  He look at me adn said, "That's pretty good!"  I said, "It ought to be, because it's Scripture."  (Heb. 11:1).
He didn't get saved, but I could tell the Lord was working on him.  And, he's really searching.  Please keep him in your prayers.  His name is Randy Fletcher.

Thanks again for your prayers and support,

November 1999

Dear praying friends,

Greetings in the name of our precious Lord and Saviour.  The month of November has come adn gone so quickly, that it's hard to believe it's over.  But, it's good to know that we are even that much closer to the coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  I am with John in praying, "Even so, come Lord Jesus!!!"
The month of November took me through Maryland, Delaware, Massachussetts, and Rhode Island with meetings all along the way.  And, I had two new Churches say they'd take me on for support!
In Waterbury, Connecticut, I took a Pastor streetpreaching who had never been before, and we saw one man saved.  He was a black man named Serge Artis.  He took a Gospel tract from the Pastor, and went inside of a coffee shop and read it.  After about ten minutes, he came back to us and had filled out the back of the tract, and said that he had just trusted Christ as his Saviour!
Toward the end of November, I had the opportunity to preach in an all Spanish church in Central Fall, Rhode Island.  I was able to practice my Spanish again with a message entitled, "La Sangre Preciosa de Jesucristo." (The Precious Blood of Jesus Christ).  I enjoyed the fellowhipping with the people, and met several folks there from Honduras.  They knew several of the Pastors that I worked with down in Honduras, and they were happy to hear that someone else was going there to preach to their native people.
Also during November, I was able to put out a bunch of Gospel tracts in New York City and downtown Boston.  In New York, I rode the Subway with a friend of mine named Abe Nazario.  We passed out tracts on all the seats on the Subway, and then sat back and waited for the people to come in and sit down.  We took a tract ourselves and pretended to read it.  When the people came in, they would sit down, and then look down at the tract.  After seeing us reading it, they would start reading it also.  It was a real blessing
Then, in downtown Boston I took the Subway to Harvard.  I've always wanted to see Harvard University, because it was founded back in the 1700's by a Christian man to teach ministers the Bible. However, today it is a training ground for wickedness and sin.  As soon as I got off the train, I began tracting people, and I ran into about 20 weirdos with red and green hair, wearing black leather jackets.  Most of them were wearing several earrings, and were listening to their boom box.  I approached them adn gave them teh tract with Jesus on the cross that says, "All This I Did For Thee."  They just laughed and mocked.  Some took it, but others ridiculed and made fun.  One girl said, "I'll take it if you'll give me two dollars!"  Another one looked at it and began to scream, "I am Jesus!"  Another boy said, "Give me one of those!"  So, I did, and then he said, "I'm going to roll it up and smoke it!"  Which he then proceded to do!  As I was walking away for those bunch of poor lost Sinners, I heard one say about me, "What a fool!"  (Like he had room to talk, with his green mohawk and his pierced nose, Amen?)  But, I'd rather be a Fool for Christ, than a Fool for the devil!  That's what our modern education system is putting out, and that's the fruit of teaching evolution.  It produced a generation that does right in their own eyes, but could care less about Jesus Christ.  1 Cor. 1:21 says that God "...chose teh folishness of preaching to save them..."  And, by his grace, I'll continue to preach the BLOOD, the BOOK, and the BLESSED HOPE, and be a Fool for Jesus!

October 1999

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

The month of October was a busy month spent mostly in Tennessee and Kentucky, with several meetings in Alabama and Georgia.  God was good and gave me some great meetings.  I had two new Churches say that they would take me on for support, and several others that said they would if god gave them the means.
I also got to lead some souls to the Lord in the month of October.  In Bolivar, Tennessee, the Pastor asked me to preach two servcies in the jail there, and three black men accepted Christ as their Saviour.  (One was named Kevin, but I don't know the other's names.  Please remember them in your prayers).
I preached a message to the inmates about "The Lamb" using Exodus 12 and John 1:36 as my texts.  I told them that they needed Jesus Christ (The LAMB OF GOD) as their Saviour.  While preaching I used an illustration about the Electric Chair.  I asked them, "What if you went into a department store adn shot thirty people?  That would be awful, right?"  They all said, "Yes."  Then I said, "You'd deserve to go to jail and to court and then to the electric chair, right?"  They said, "Yep."  I continued, "What if they strapped you into the electric chair, adn were just about to flip the switch, but I came in and said 'No!' I'll take his place, let him go.  And the last thing you would hear as they escorted you outside, would be me screaming in the electric chair in your place.  That would be something, wouldn't it?"  About that time, every eye in the jail was staring at me.  Then, I told them that's what Jesus did for them!  I heard one guy say, "Wow!"  Praise God He took our penalty!  Thank God for such a wonderful Saviour!
While in Pembroke, Georgia, I was able to attend another jail service, where I met a man who has been to Honduras several times.  He has a wife who lives there now with her family.  He said that there is an old Baptist Church there in her village with a building next door that was once used as an orphanage and a soup kitchen.  The work was abandoned after the Missionary that started it left several years ago and never came back.  The people are waiting and praying for someone to come there and preach to them.  He gave me the name of phone number of his wife's mother who used to attend the Church, and knows more about it.  Please pray with me that God would show me if he wants me to go there when I get back.  It sounds like an open door!

Thanks again for your prayers and support!

September 1999

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  The month of September took me through New York, Rhode Island, Pennsylvannia, and Ohio as well as several other states doing the work of an evangelist.
In a meeting in Miltonville, Ohio, two young girls named Elen and Chelsy made a profession of faith.  Chelsy is German, and she didn't speak English well.  After she accepted Christ as her Saviour, she said, "God put my sins."  It may not be perfect English, but she understood what god did for her perfectly!
In Waterbury, Conneticut, I was was able to attend a week long revival meeting with evangelist Bill Hagg.  I was able to do some work on the Church there and be a blessing to the Pastor.  We had a great time, as we saw some souls saved there also!
On my way through New Haven, Conneticut, I stopped at Yale University and passed out tracts.  Yale was founded as a Christian school, but it is anything but Christian today.  I took a tour of the school, and found out that Jonathan Edwards graduated from there in the 1700's.  He is famous for preaching his message entitled "Sinners in the hands of an Angry God!."  And, God must be even more angry now, as that school is in total apostasy!
On Sept. 7th, 1999 the Lord answered a prayer that I had been praying for some time.  It had been my heart's desire to win a Jew to the Lord Jesus Christ.  The Lord not only let me win one, but three Jewish teenagers to Him in Narragansett, Rhode Island.  There names are Levi, Mercedes, and Emily.  Please remember them in your prayers.  I walkeed up to them adn gave them all tracts and then walked away.  After looking at it, Emily ran after me adn said, "Hey, what's this?"  I said, "It's a gospel tract about Jesus Christ."  Emily then said, "I'm Jewish." To the which I replied, "Jesus was Jewish also, and he was your Messiah!"  I then explained the Gospel to them adn about half way through, she interrupted me and said, "You mean it's like Matthew 1:21, And he shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call him name JESUS: for he shall save HIS PEOPLE from their sins."  I was shocked that she knew that verse and quoted it word for word.  I said, "Yes, that's exactly what it's like!"  I asked her how she knew that, and she said she went to a Baptist Church one time when she was 7 years old, and that was her memory verse in Sunday School.  Praise God after 11 years she still remember it!  God said in Isaiah 55:11, "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing wherunto I sent it."  And, God sure accomplished it!  She then turned to her two friends and said, "I want to get saved now, do you want to get saved with me?"  They said, "Yes," and I was able to lead them all to the Lord!
Also, while in Rhode Island, at Historic Baptist Church, I preached a message about heaven, and the Pastor's son came forward and accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour!  So, praise the Lord for that!
On September 11th, while in New York, I went to Time Square in downtown Manhattan with some other brothers to streetpreach and hand out tracts.  I was suprised how cold the people were.  They just ignored you, or walked right by you like you were a brick wall.  But, we did get a lot of tracts out.
Also, I was surpised how many Jews there were in New York.  One lady came up to me while I was passing out tracts, and she asked me if I was concerned that I was offending people.  I said, "Nope!"  Then, in an arrogant and hateful tone of voice that sounded like she just wanted to pick a fight, she said, "What do you think about Jews?"  I said, "I love them because they are God's chosen people, and I pray for them."  She didn't know what to say or do, so she just stormed off in a huff.  (That's what you call killing them with kindness!)  I love the Jews and want to see them saved!
The last couple of weeks of September, I had some meetings in South Florida.  In Miami, I preached in Spanish at the Independent Baptist Church of Hialeah.  The people enjoyed it tremendously, and several member of the Church were from Honduras. I enjoyed being with them and practicing my Spanish.
The Lord continues to bless me as I had three new Churches take me on for support in September, and two more that said they would in the future.  So I praise the Lord for that as God continues to give the increase!

Thanks again for all your continued prayers and support.

July - August 1999

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

During the month of July, I celebrated two birth days:  my first birth on July 13th, and my spiritual birth on July 29th (which of course is the most important one).  I turned 25 years old physically and 7 years old spiriutally.  God has been good to me this year, and I'm thankful for what he's doing for me and with me as I'm working to get to the field of Honduras.
Everyday it seems like I meet someone from Hondruas, or someone going there.  God continues to keep Honduras fresh on my mind.  In early July, God brought Randy Pelfry and his wife across my path.  They are leaving to go to Honduras in September as Missionaries.   They asked me over to their house one Saturday night to show my slides.  We had a great time talking about the Lord and Honduras.  Once I get to the field, they want me to come and visit and preach for them at their Church.
Then, the next day I ran into a man named Abel Bonilla.  He's a Missionary to Honduras already (being a native of Costa Rica), and he's here in the states on deputation.  He has a school for children down in Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras.  And, he said that he could help me whenever I get there to obtain my Visa and residence, as well as helping to ship some things in.  He also said that he would show me how to set up a school for kids, which is something that God's been laying on my heart.  So, there are two open doors waiting for me in Honduras.
In August, the Lord gave me a lot of opportunites to preach.  The 21st I was the guest speaker at Pea Ridge in Pace, Florida.  Every 3rd Saturday they meet and have a guest preacher.  Then, they have a pot luck dinner, and afterwards the men throw their names into a hat, and if tey get picked, they have 15 minutes to preach a message.  I throughly enjoyed the food and the fellowhip and the good preaching.
During the second week in August, I was asked to preach at Horizons Convalescent Home to a group of old people.  I preached a message to them about "Death."  Some would say that was a bit tactless, preaching about death to old folks.  But, they had a good time.  A lot of them got excited about going home to heaven and seeing the Lord. I wish all Christians had the desire to see the Lord as much as they did.
While I was preaching, I quoted Romans 6:23: "The wages of sin is death..."  I told them that the reason we die is because of our sin.  About that time an old lady started yelling, "But, I'm not a sinner!" I didn't know what to do, so I kept on preaching, but she wouldn't quit.  So, I quoted 1 John 1:8 and 10 and moved on.  After a while she kept quiet.  Sometimes those old folks just act like kids.
Speaking of kids, one Saturday in August, I was invited to a young meeting in Crossville, Alabama, and I got to see a young teenage boy trust Christ as his Saviour.  His first words were, "That was easy!"  He though you had to do something to get saved like be baptized, or join the Church, etc.  Thank God salvation is so simple!  Then he said, "My brothers are lost, how can we get them saved?"  The preacher said, "That's a pretty good indication that he got saved, because he's worrying about someone else going to Hell."
It was a real blessing to see a young person saved, and interested in the salvation of his family. His name is Nick.  Please pray for his spiritual growth, and the salvation of his family.
One thing that I enjoy is personal work.  Talking face to face with a person, and trying to lead them to Christ.  But, the other day while on visitation, I learned of a new Church that is spreading all over America today.  While witnessing, people will usually tell you they go to the Episcopalian or the Prestbyterian or Catholic Church.  While some will pridefully say, "I'm Mormon or Jehovah's Witness."  But, the other day I asked an old man where he attended Church, to the which he quickly replied, "None of your business!"  So there you have it, a new Church growing here in America.  I don't know if it's a Methodist or Presbyterian or Baptist, but more and more people seem to be attending.
Most of July and August was spent on the telephone trying to set up meetings.  The telephone is a Missionary's friend.  And, we sure spend countless hours on it calling Pastors.  Most Pastors ask you question like what you believe about the King James Bible, or what's your testimony, or what Church are you from.  That's understandable, they have a right to know before they let you into their Church.  But, the other day a Pastor asked me a question I'd never been asked before.  He said, "Which came first, Jesus or the King James Bible?"  I thought for a second, and then said, "Well, Jesus of course."  He then began to tell me that all these people that take a stand for the King James Bible are wrong, and that they shouldn't make such a big issue of it, but instead should all come together with Christ as our common denominator.  He just kept going on and on, and didn't let me get a word in edgewise.  then, he told me that the King James had mistakes and errors in it and that there was no perfect Bible translation.
After he was done talking, God brought to my rememberance this verse:  "I will worship toward they holy temple, and praise thy name for they lovingkindness and for they truth: FOR THOU HAST MAGNIFIED THY WORD ABOVE ALL THY NAME."  (Psalm 138:2)
That's how important God's word is.  God said he magnified it above his name.  What's his name?  It's JESUS!  The Bible says that at the name of Jesus every knew shall bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord.  And, the Bible is more important than that.  Wow!  Praise God for that King James Bible!  Isaiah 66:5 sayes we ought to tremble at his word.  Have you trembled lately?
Heads bowed and eyes closed...
Finally, I'll close with this story.  When I'm on deputation, one of my favorite places to eat is at Mexican Resturants.  It helps me to practice my Spanish, because most of the employees are Hispanic.  Some of them don't speak any English.  So, when I got there I speak Spanish to them, and they are always very courteous.  And, they treat me a little bit nicer because I put for the effort to speak in their language.
At one Mexican resturant in Florida, I was talking to them in Spanish and the boss of the resturant came out and began making conversation.  He didn't speak a lick of English.  He asked me where I was from and what I did for a living.  I told him I was a Missionary to Honduras and he suddenly became very exited.  I asked him if he was saved and he told me he was.  Then, he asked me if I had anymore trancts in Spanish, because he wanted to give them out to the rest of the employees.  So, I gave him a bunch of Spanish tracts and a couple of Spanish Bibles.  He was so happy, that he gave me my meal for free, and gave me an offering to help me on my way!  I could hardly believe it.  God continues to bless me and help me as I serve Him!

Thank you all for your prayers and support.

May - June 1999

Dear fellow labourers in Christ,

The months of May and June have seen me through some hills and valleys.  But mostly valleys!  I had an ingrown toenail removed the first week of May, and on the way home from the hospital, I was in a car wreck.  A friend was driving, and I had my foot resting ont he dashboard because of pain.  We then rear-ended someboday, and my foot went into the windshield on the passenger side adn cracked it.  My nickname now is Robert "Windshield" Breaker.
During the summer and between meetings, I have been working at lawn care to help pay off my outrageous phone bills that accompany deputation.  But, during the beginning of June, my lawnmower blew up!  Then, my weedeater blew up aslo.  If that wasn't bad enough, my blower burnt up as well.  I took that as a sign from the Lord to start working harder on deputation.  I'm still working, but not as much, so I can spend more time setting up meetings and preaching.  I lost a lot of business, but the Lord gave me a loner lawn mower, and I have about three good yards left that I do every week to help pay bills.  It looks like after the summer I'll be able to go on deputation full time.
In my last letter, I reported that I was supposed to be married on August 27th.  Well, things have changed.  I had to drive up to Michigan in June to sort some things out and we had a long talk.  She said that she didn't want to get married anymore.  So, we broke up and went our separate ways.  I was heart broken, but the Lord showed me some things through this.  There are two things that God demands from his bride the Church: 1. Willingness, and 2. Faithfulness.  These are essential to a strong relationship with Christ, and thse are what I wanted from her.  Without these two things, it is impossible to have a marriage.  So, though all this the Lord showed me that I had to be more willing to him in some areas of my life, and to be more faithful to him.
Even though things were going not so well these past months, I've been busy plodding along, serving the Lord the best I can.  Every where I go, I pass out tracts.  I think I distributed over 2000 the last two months.  And, the Lord has been bringing many Hispanic people my way.  Now, I always carry Spanish tracts with me, because it seems that where ever I go, the Lord puts a Spanish-speaking person in my path.  There are so many Spanish-speaking people in America.  In fact, Spanish is the second largest spoken language in the United States.  And, I am enjoying witnessing to them and practicing my Spanish as well.
Although the last two months weren't the greatest in the world, the Lord did bless with some fruit.  I was in Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Arab, Alabama, the end of June, and two kids (Amelia and Bryan) got saved!  They are around 11 and 12 years old and are brother and sister.  Please pray for them.
After showing my slides, I asked if there were any questions.  As soon as I did, Amelia raised her hand and said, "So what happens if you don't get saved?"  I replied, "You go to Hell and burn for all eternity!"  She cringed and said, "I don't want to go there.  When can I get saved?"  I said, "Right now!!!" She and her brother both wanted to trust Christ, so we had some of the ladies take them out and show them how to be saved.  They back to the service born again.  So, praise God for those two souls!!!

Thanks for your prayers and support.  Please continue praying for me.

March - April 1999

Dear Beloved of the Lord,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  The months of March and April have taken me over 4000 miles, through 17 different states for various meetings.  These two months also took me across both borders of our neighboring countries of Mexico and Canada.
The first week of March was spent in Nogales, Mexico, preaching and teaching the Bible, as well as learning from the local Pastors.  I learned that many Mexicans do not like Hondurans because a lot of Hondurans come up through Mexico, trying to get into America for work.  They are penniless, as they travel through and they usually steal from the Mexicans in order to survive.  The Mexicans look at them as low class people because they are from a country poorer than their own.  So, I was kind of leary to tell them that I was a missionary to Honduras.  They did accept me, however.  In fact, several churches there asked me to preach a revival the next time that I am out that way.  So, a great effectual door is opened unto me in Mexico!
From Mexico I traveled Northeast with meetings along the way in New Mexico, Texas, Illinois, and Michigan.  In Michigan, I was able to attend my first Missions Conference at Prayer Baptist Church in Westland (close to Detroit).  They called it a Missions Revival, and we saw one (Jessica Davis) saved during the meeting.
The Church was so good to the Missionaries.  They made us all big baskets full of goodies that every Missionary needs, (calling cards, gift certificates, shampoo, shaving cream, razon blades, crackers, car additives, fix a flat, etc.).  They also bought me a new suit!  On top of that, they even voted to take me on for support.  So, I praise God for that!  They were a real blessing.
At the meeting, one of the preachers gave a shocking fact.  He said that of all the Bible Believing Missionaries that we send out, over 60% of them are over 60 years old.  That means if the Lord tarries another 20 or 30 years, then we will lose a lot of Missionaries, and who will take their place?  Who will stand in the gap?  No wonder Jesus said, "The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few."  We need more young men that are called of God to go to the Mission field, adn preach the word!  Who will go? Will you?
During my stay in Michigan, several wonderful things happened.  First, I got engaged to MS. Rebekah Lindley.  We are to be married August 27th, at Prayer Baptist Church up in Michigan.  We have only been writing each other for over a year, and God knew what he was doing in bring us together.  She has had seven years of Spanish in school, and believes that God has called her to be a Missionary also.  "Two are better than one..." the Bible says, because they can do twice the work.  So, together we want to serve the Lord till he comes!
Also in MIchigan, I was given the marvelous opportunity to attend a Passover Dinner with a Jewish family named the Finkelsteins.  They followed the traditional Passoever supper that Moses commanded under the law, but they did follow some other Jewish traditions and well.  The Bible says, "blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in." (Rom. 11:25).  The Finkelsteins were a lost Jewish family, and they couldn't see Jesus as their Passover Lamb.  But, all through their celebration (which lasted over 5 hours) I could see Jesus Christ in type!
For example, they had 3 pieces of unleavened bread (called Matzah), which they laid on top of each other.  They said that they represent the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.  (The one in the middle being Jesus - the bread of life!).  Then, they would take the one in the middle, and break it, and hide half of it.  That piece was then forgotten about until the end of the meal, when it was found and eaten.  A type of Israel rejecting their Messiah, and then accepting him later.
An interesting thing they did during the Passover Dinner was to fill a cup full of wine and set it on the end of the table.  It stayed there all night, and no one touched it.  I asked what that cup was for, and they said it was for Elijah, whom they are looking to return!  I was shocked, because the Bible says that Elijah is coming back in the tribulation, and when he does, he'll tell them that Jesus Christ was their Messiah!
Also during my two weeks in Michigan, I was able to go across the river from Detroit to Windsor, Canada to pass out tracts.  The people in Canada were very strange and different.  No two people were alike.  One person you would give a tract to would be so nice and thankful, then the next person would rip it up or throw it down, and then spit at you.  But, I was able to pass out many tract.  Also, I learned while streetpreaching there, that Chick tracts are illegal in Windsor.  So, if you're ever in Canada you may consider using a different tract unless you want an instand jail ministry!
I'm enjoying deputation and working hard to get back to Honduras.   Thanks again for your prayers and support. They are much needed, and much appreciated.

Looking for that glorious hope of his appearing,

Bro. Robert R. Breaker III

February - March 1999

Dear Brethren,

The month of February went by so fast that it's hard to believe that it's gone.  Most of it was spent on the phone calling Pastors and setting up meetings, as well as fixing old cars and working hard.  But, it brought some blessings.  On the night of February 5th, I was able to lead two boys to the Lord named Josh and Andrew during visitation.  (Please remember them in your prayers.)
Also, I received news that a small church in Newburn, Tennessee voted to take me on for support.  They said they wanted to grow, and they knew that supporting a missionary would help.  That's my first supporting church, and I praise God!
The end of February and the beginning of March, I was in Nogales, Mexico, helping several new Churches.  In the Church in the colony of Rosarita, we had 5 adult men saved the first Sunday evening that I preached.  That was a blessing because the Pastor said that it's really hard to get grown men to come down to the altar.
That Sunday morning after showing my slides, a young boy named Irvina Miguel came up and asked the preacher how to get saved, because he didn't want to be lost like the girl in my last slide.  So, he led him to the Lord.  We also preached in the jails, and saw six men saved.  Another man accepted Christ during the streetpreaching in the park downtown.  Please remember these in your prayers.
We also passed out a lot of tracts in Nogales as well as the surrounding area.  We had an open door to distribute many John and Romans booklets in Spanish.  Whether you know it or not, most of the vegetables that you buy at the local supermarket are grown in Mexico, and brought through Nogales.  The huge 18 wheelers that carry them into the United States are lined up for two or more miles waiting to get through the border.  We drove by the big rigs, and passed out Chick tracts as well as John and Romans through an open van window to the truckers. We must have given out two or three hundred of them a day.  The drivers had time to read them as they waited over two hours to cross the border.
Some of the boys of the Church play soccer every Saturday in the park.  Afterwards they invite their opponents to church, but seldom do they come.  However, the last Sunday that I was there, two of them came and one of them got saved.  His name was Carlos.  (Please remember him in prayer also).
God is doing a lot in Mexico.  I had a good time there and wished I could have stayed.  Please continue praying for those who were saved, and also for me, as I continue on in deputation.

"The Lord is good! ...He leadeth me in the pathes of righteousness for his name's sake." (Psalm 23:3)

Thanks to everyone for their prayers and support.

¡Dios te bendiga ricamente!  (Spanish for: The Lord bless you richly!)
