Welcome! Here you will find all of my prayer letters written ever since I started the ministry as a Missionary to Honduras, and then as I now am as a Missionary to the Spanish-Speaking People of the Americas. We hope to update this with our current prayer letter that we send out every two months.

September - October 2012

Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth… But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled.  - Prov. 27:1 & 1 Peter 3:4

Dear fellow Christians,

Truly, we do not know what tomorrow may bring. Yet even though bad things happen, almost on a daily basis, we should be happy! We should not be afraid nor troubled of the unknown.
This is what I’ve been struggling with the last several months as I look at the world around me and see nefarious forces at work in this world striving against God and the Bible. (One example would be the word “God” being voted on to be removed from the Democratic National Convention! Who would want to get rid of God?)
Probably the hardest thing to deal with in these last days is the fear of tomorrow. I honestly don’t know what will happen in our country.  So I find my greatest struggle is learning to be happy amidst an evil and uncertain world. This is a hard task, especially when so many things happen which are beyond our control.

SICKNESS

For over a month I’ve had a terrible ear infection and a cough. Hard as I tried, I couldn’t get over it. But I pressed on in spite of my affliction. It wasn’t till the end of October that we found out what was wrong with me and why.

SEPTIC TANK

Our septic tank filled so full that the gas was bubbling up into our house. I didn’t know this until I eventually smelled it getting worse in the bathroom. Turn’s out, that’s what made me sick. We eventually called a company to come and suck out the tank, and I received an amazing illustration from their work.
The septic man showed me that the tank was supposed to process the sewage, and clean it. What cleaned it? Water and Sun. The water flushed into the tank and the refuse was pushed into drains where it was absorbed into the ground. The Sun dried up the land around it so that the drain would work properly, and the system was supposed to be self-enclosed and able to cleanse itself and keep from overflowing.
Thinking on this, I got a great illustration. Men are like septic tanks. They are full of corruptness in their hearts, and if they don’t flush themselves with the water of the word (the Bible), and don’t rely upon the Son (Jesus), then they can become so overflowed with corruptness, that they just plum STINK!!! And not only will they get sick themselves, but their stench will make others sick as well! So, how about you? How clean is your heart?
SEEING THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING A WITNESS

Not only do we continually witness to others, which is so hard nowadays, as we find so many are hostile towards God, the Bible, and the Gospel, but we also pass out tracts on a regular basis in both English and Spanish.
Yet, probably the geatest lesson the Lord’s showed me over the last couple of years is the importance not only of witnessing, but of being a witness to others. Let me explain. There are many out there who claim to be Christians, and who claim to witness and win souls. But when you examine their lives, you find they are NOTHING like what they claim to be. They are often full of sinfulness, pride, envy, and covetousness. (They have a septic heart). They are Christians in name only, and if we can see this, then the lost world can certainly see it as well. That’s why not only is witnessing important, but so is being a witness yourself. You should show others Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Many Christians today put the emphasis only on the verbal witness, which is important, but they have no emphasis whatsoever on the daily witness of the Christian walk. This has led to a merciless, militant form of Christianity which shows forth NONE of the fruits of the Spirit. Rather it makes for believers who are critical, angry, condescending, and judgmental. But is this true Christianity? Certainly not! Jesus was our example, and so was the apostle Paul. Both of them had compassion, charity, and love. We should strive to practice the same. If only more Christians would get a hold of this!
SPANISH SCRIPTURES

As most of you know, I’ve studied the Spanish Bible Issue for many a year and I’ve come to the conclusion that the Spanish Bible, and the many different revisions of it, all have problems. I use the Valera 1602 Purified Spanish Bible, as it’s better than any other out there to date. My church is now working on revising it yet again to make it even better, and I’ve been asked to go through and compare it with the KJV. I’ve spent many a 10 to 12 hour day reading and rereading it, while also going through many different references of words to make sure they match the KJV as much as possible. I’ve also looked at all the other versions as well, like the modern Gomez Bible, which still has many problems. (One of which is Gomez using the word “erizo” or hedge hog in Isa. 34:11. Can you imagine?)
After studying it all, I decided to start translating the King James Bible myself into Spanish. Which I’m doing, and I’ve finished about twelve chapters of Genesis so far. What a blessing to reread that and see the Spanish Bible say what it should say! This is a long and tedious project, and I wish I could find some other Christians who would desire to undertake such a task to help. It would be awesome to have a Spanish Bible that read exactly with the King James Bible, while still retaining the old Castellan Spanish as much as possible! Know anyone who might want to help who speaks Spanish?
In the mean time, I’ll continue to help working on the Valera 1602 Purified Spanish Bible, and I ask for your prayers as we revise it and put it forward for printing. It’s still the best Spanish Bible available to date.
STUDY BOOK IN SPANISH

In September, I delivered to Creation Science Evangelism a Work Book, that I worked on translating into Spanish. As most of you know, Dr. Kent Hovind came down to Honduras in 2005, and we taped his presentation in English and Spanish. However, his English Study Work Book was never translated into Spanish, that is, until recently when someone worked on it but never finished. I was asked to revise what they had done and complete the task, which I did, and in September presented to them parts 1 through 5. (The videos for parts 6 and 7 are not yet finished, but when they are, I’ll work on them too). They said that people all over the world have been asking for this Spanish Study book, and after they print it, it will be distributed WORLD-WIDE! How exciting to be able to work on a project that will reach so many people with the truth of God as the Creator!

BIBLE SCHOOL

In Pensacola, Florida one October afternoon, I took my car in for repairs, and I was told it would take a few hours to complete. With nothing else to do, I walked up the road to the Pensacola Christian College and took a tour of the campus. I was pleasantly surprised with the area and atmosphere. It was like going back in time, as people were actually dressed like Christians. But what made me the most excited was talking with the men who gave me the tour. They, like myself, are very much against the modern “ask Jesus into your heart” gospel. They said they were even taught against that in their Evangelism classes. Rather, they believed that salvation was by “FAITH IN THE BLOOD!” (What a blessing that there are still those out there who haven’t changed, and still preach the Blood-Stained Gospel of Christ’s blood atonement!) They also said they were King James Only, which was a great blessing. It was a great encouragement to see there are others out there who haven’t changed their doctrines to go along with the times.

SCUTTLEBUTT FROM THE PHILIPPINES

I received an email in October from a brother in the Philippines who confided in me what he was going through. He’s a native Bible Believing Pastor who said that there is a great battle his homeland over the issue of salvation. He writes: “Just read your testimony and personal battle regarding sinner's prayer and just like you we are in the midst of real battle over here in the Phils. and over facebook not only with the false professions but also with Bible believers, hope we could have a communication. Blessings!
I also spoke to an old friend and fellow Bible School graduate who was once a Missionary in the Philippines who told me the same thing. He said there were many who claimed to be “Bible Believers” in the Philippines, and even King James only, who had absolutely NO IDEA what salvation was, nor how to be saved, as they have been following the modern “BLOODLESS GOSPEL.” He said he stood up and tried to say something, and it ended up getting him tossed out of not only the country, but also their “fellowship” as well, as he was essentially “excommunicated” by the Baptist Mafia. What a shame! He said the thing that hurt him the most wasn’t their uncaring, hateful spirit towards him, but their lack of concern about the true Gospel of Christ and their desire to see people truly saved. All they cared about were their numbers and making sure their club or group enlarged itself.
My friend now lives in the states, and has a secular job, continually wanting to serve the Lord, but knowing that to do so he can’t be a part of a religious system that preaches “another Gospel.” Thus, by himself he witnesses and passes out tracts.
I mention this, as this story is all too common of what we are hearing from other Bible Believers. It appears the main fold of Christianity is being corrupted. Just like that old septic tank, they are overflowing with corruptness and it’s making others sick! They aren’t clean and cleansing others, rather than are spewing forth much contention which in turn hurts the cause of Christ, dividing it, rather than unifying it. What sad times we live in! Sadder still when I think that the forces of darkness are gaining by leaps and bounds, while those who have the truth are either diminishing or devouring each other more each day.
But that’s the spiritual battle of our age. Yet, there is also a physical battle in our world today, which shortly may unfold on a world-wide scale. It is an international battle by evil forces with who are wholly sold out to Satan, and who are fast at work trying to take over the world and enslave its populace to their maniacal system.
With this stated, I want to close this prayer letter with something I studied in the last couple of months that truly scares me.
THE TRUTH ABOUT ISLAM

I started this prayer letter with a verse about being happy, even though we live in times of “terror.” But, the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 1:18,“For in much wisdomis much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.” And certainly this is true, for the more you learn, the more depressed you become, as knowledge often brings you to a point of grief. It’s so very grievous to see the world we live in as it really is. The old saying is: “The truth hurts!” That’s about it.
With the attacks on our Consulate in Benghazi, it made me think of how hateful, cruel, and militant Islam really is. So I studied it the more and found some interesting and enlightening details about that false religion, as well as some shocking things about the culture and history of those involved in it.
First, I read an article put out by World Net Daily, in which an ancient text was found that tells who the supposed deity named “Allah” really is. The title of the article was: “1700 B.C.: 'Alla' god of 'violence and revolution.'
I quote the article: “A research article posted on the website of terrorist-turned-Christian Walid Shoebat contends the oldest known references to the Islamic deity Allah are not in Arabian records but in Babylonian artifacts. Ancient tablets describe ‘Alla’ as a deity of ‘violence and revolution…’ Theodore Shoebat said one of the early such references in the Epic of Atrahasis states: ‘Then Alla made his voice heard and spoke to the gods his brothers, Come! Let us carry Elil, the counselor of gods, the warrior from his dwelling.’
Who does this sound like to you? Why, it sounds exactly like LUCIFER or Satan, who according to the Scriptures tried to get the angels (other gods) to rebel with him against God in order to try to dethrone him. That means the Islamic god Allah is none other than SATAN himself! No wonder Muslims who worship Allah are so violent and we see them in the world in many different countries pushing for revolution.
With this stated, it’s easy to see the difference between the true God, a god of love, and the false god Allah, a god of hate. And, as we look at Islam, we find it’s a diabolical religion full of depravity, anger, violence, and rage.
The word Islam means “submission.” And its ultimate goal is to make all the world submit to its political ideals. Islam practices Sharia law and in that system, beheadings are a common form of punishment. (As I read the book of Revelation, I often think that the many “beheadings” spoken therein could be done by Muslims who have taken over the world. This is possible as they are working hard at completing their goal of doing just that!)
As far fetched as this might sound, the truth is there is a global Muslim conspiracy to take over the world, and we are seeing them do it one country at a time with their uprisings, revolutions, and violent demonstrations.
We also find a rise in so-called “honor killings” among Muslims, in which they murder family members they deem as apostate or deviating from Sharia law. I even had a friend tell me the following story about when he was out street preaching, “I preached the Gospel and then just mentioned about how Islam doesn’t preach salvation, rather enslavement. When I finished, a Muslim from the Middle East came up to me and said, ‘If we were back in my home country of Saudi Arabia, I would CUT YOUR HEAD OFF!’ ” Truly Islam is a religion of pure malice.
I also witnessed to some soldiers who came back from Iraq and Saudi Arabia, and they told me how sickened they were to see such widespread child molestation by Muslims in foreign countries. They said that the common saying among the Muslim men was, “Women are for making babies, while little boys are for having fun.” How sick! How disgusting!
I even heard the most horrible story of all about an entire Muslim village in Saudi Arabia, where the men came to the United States Medical personnel there and complained that their wives couldn’t get pregnant and that for years none of them had given birth. When investigated, they found that the reason was because the village men were so perverted that for generations they’d been engaging only in homosexual acts on their wives and they didn’t even know the proper way to engage in sexual relations. When they were taught the biological way in which men and women make babies, the men became sick, most of them even saying things like, “What? That’s the most disgusting thing I’ve ever heard!” Can you imagine a generation so perverse and wicked? Romans chapter one explains them so well. They are beyond nature and call evil good and good evil! They are as bad as Sodom and Gomorrah. (As in the days of Lot!!!)
Why focus on such awfulness? It’s because we can’t help but see their numbers growing world-wide.
Muslims not only practice filthy habits, but they also practice the most gruesome thing of all --dismemberment on women with female circumcision, a brutal act of undeniable cruelty! I won’t go into this in detail, but a woman named Ann Barnhardt has a good four part exposé on Muslim practices and Islamic perverse societal customs on Youtube. It’s entitled: “Islamic Sexuality: A Survey of Evil!” It’s worth a watch. And, it will really open your eyes to what those people are really like, and the barbaric atrocities they do on others, especially women. There is no other word for it except truly “Satanic.” We need to pray for such people! And we need to pray for protection for ourselves from them.
If this all be true, then what do we have? We have a growing religion in our world full of people who worship Satan seeking diligently to expand their perverse religious by political means. And if the world continues on its current path, they will continue to gain power and most likely bring the entire world under their control. This is what bothers me the most. Yet I find I can’t dwell on it. I must press on and forget about it. But I can’t deny the facts of what might happen in this world very shortly. No longer can I sit back and say, “Well, whatever happens in this world it won’t affect me.
For, it’s quite possible that if the Lord tarries, there just might even been another world-war, this time on our own shores; a religious war of Christianity vs. Islam, of morality vs. perversion, of freedom and a Free Market System vs. enslavement and Communism.
As I look at the world as it truly is, I can’t believe the rapture hasn’t happened yet! It’s getting worse and worse, and what bothers me most is that most Christians don’t recognize it’s happening. They want to believe the lie that everything is fine, nothing bad is on the horizon, that all people are inherently good, and there’s nothing to worry about. Yet the facts prove otherwise. Christianity is losing ground, while Islam, Satanism, and Communism are gaining. The world is a cess pool of evil, a septic tank of wickedness, if you will. And oh, how it must stink in the nostrils of God!
So now, more than ever I put my faith in God, and do my best to be happy, even though I find this to be more difficult everyday! I just pray for my country and for you all. Please pray with me.
If the Lord tarries, then perilous times will indeed come, and things will get even worse, and we will go through some terrible times. I pray that you are ready, and you will be able to stand in the day of adversity.
Truly evil abounds, but thankfully grace much more abounds! And even though we see two very different and distinct sides: one, full of charity and moral integrity, and the other of pure evil, full of perversion, hate, death, destruction, and barbaric cruelty, we know who wins in the end. It’s our Lord Jesus Christ!
Saddened but occupying until He comes,

July - August 2012

5 I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying…. 6 Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine? 18 I thank my God, I speak with tongues... (1 Corinthians 14:5,6, & 18a)
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus our Lord,

In July, I turned 38 years old physically and 20 years old spiritually! What a blessing to have two birthdays in the same month. And how great to be able to say I’ve been saved longer than I have been lost! It’s great to know the Lord and know for sure that you are on your way to heaven!
God’s kept me busy the last two months and by the above verses you can kind of get the idea that I’ve been busy using my Spanish for the Lord. So here’s what the Lord has done with us these last couple of months.

SPANISH CHILDREN’S VIDEO ABOUT CREATION

Creation Science Evangelism in Pensacola, Florida contacted me about finishing their bi-lingual Children’s video. You know, the one we recorded in Honduras way back in 2005. They needed me to finish translating the slides into the Spanish tongue, and I took a few weeks to do so, making sure I got it right as I put on the finishing touches. The video is now done, and we look forward to it going out far and wide and reaching many children with the truth of Creation and the lies about Evolution.

MORE TRANSLATION WORK

I’ve been asked to do some more work for Creation Science Evangelism as I go through their workbooks and make sure they are translated correctly in Spanish. I’m also working on several other of their Spanish language videos. My job is to make sure the slides are correct in Spanish, and boy is there a lot of work to do, as there are well over 700 slides! (And that’s just part A. I haven’t had a chance to look at part B yet!) Please pray for me as I go through this tedious process, that it might turn out well and be greatly used by God.

HELPING TRANSLATE PAPERS FOR A MISSIONARY TO SPAIN

God sent along my path a Missionary to Spain out of a good Bible Believing church in New York. He asked me to help him translate his paperwork into Spanish to help him obtain his Visa to enter into Spain. It took us many days working together, but we finally got it all finished before he took the papers to the Spanish Consulate in Miami. Sadly, they would not accept it, because it wasn’t “certified.” (They demand a special stamp from someone who’s been certified by the state to translate). So it appeared we did all that work for nothing! So now he’s looking for a person who’s certified by the state to stamp the translated work in order for them to accept it. Please pray for him that he could find someone so that he could quickly gain entrance into Spain and start his ministry there. Also pray we might have the opportunity to go and visit him there someday. Paul went to Spain in his ministry, and I’ve always wished I could do the same!

TEACHING SPANISH

A young man in Milwaukee, Wisconsin contacted me a while back asking me to teach him Spanish via Skype. So twice a week I do so. He just doesn’t want to learn slang Spanish, but he wants to learn the old Castilian tongue, especially as it was used and written in the old Spanish Bibles. So I am enjoying having a pupil who is interested in learning about that. We are also going through many of the old Spanish Bibles together as well.

GOD TAKES CARE OF US AS WE CONTINUALLY SERVE HIM

A few prayer letters back I told about our dwindling support and great need for something to happen, as we aren’t really receiving enough to live on, much less do the ministry as we’d like. But God is good, and has given me some odds and ends jobs to get by, as well as allowed us to sell some things on Craigslist and at a local flea market. (Where we’ve found a lot of Hispanic people to talk to! We’ve also been able to pass out a lot of tracts there as well!)

Most of the translation work I’ve mentioned we were blessed to receive an offering for, so that really helped. We’ve also received some special offerings, and we thank God for that. It’s great to know you are doing something for the Lord and he’s taking care of you for doing it. We also rejoice in being able to continue in the Lord’s service.

Thanks so much for all your prayers and support. We appreciate you so much! And we count it an honor to work with you as we serve the Lord together and try to get the Gospel out in both English and Spanish.
Because Jesus shed His precious blood for a Sinner like me,
Robert Breaker
1 Sam. 12:24

The Following is something I wrote that accompanied this prayer letter...

HOW MUCH DOES A PERSON NEED TO KNOW TO GET SAVED?

A few years before he died, my Dad told me that the above question was hotly debated back in the seventies and eighties among many Pastors, Evangelists, Missionaries, and Laymen. And often their discussions on this topic led to bitterness, anger, and even division as men continually claimed they were right and others were wrong on the subject. Some said a person didn’t need to know anything. Others said they have to know everything about Jesus and the Gospel, or they aren’t saved at all. And their constant debate and bickering went on for years. In fact, I’ve recently found it’s even going on today and it’s more heated than ever! And, it’s still a divisive issue.

My Dad said he used to go to these guys in his day and answer them according to their folly. He would say, “I can tell you in one word how much a person needs to know to be saved!” Intrigued, they would ask, “Really? Then what’s that one word?” My Dad would respond, “ENOUGH!” Usually that left them speechless. But the truth is a Sinner does need to know some things before he gets saved. How much? Just ENOUGH.

People erroneously go to completely opposite extremes on this issue. Some claim a Sinner needs know nothing, while others say they must know everything. But what if the answer is a happy medium between the two? What if all a Sinner really must know is enough in order to get saved?
Why do I bring this up? Well, as most of you know, I just can’t bring myself to remain silent when I see something that needs to be mentioned, especially when I see how such a thing can cause not only division but also great harm as well. That’s why I’ve written in my prayer letter about such topics as “Faith Promise,” “Shallow Soul Winning,” etc. And, in this prayer letter, I feel I’ve got to mention this topic also, as I’ve been seeing a lot of it lately, that is, the false teaching about what a Sinner must know (or more specifically what he doesn’t need to know) to be saved.

You see, there are many today among Christendom who claim to be “Christians” and even “Bible Believers” who are now saying that a person doesn’t have to know anything to be saved. They claim, “A person doesn’t have to know anything at all about God, the Bible, the Bloody Gospel, etc.” But is this so? Is this a Biblical teaching, or a man-made doctrine?
Some even go so far as to say, “A person doesn’t even have to hear the Gospel to get saved!
(That’s silly! Why would the Bible instruct someone to preach the gospel if Sinners don’t need to hear it in order to get saved?). Further, I’ve even heard them say things like, “A Sinner can get saved by coming to God the best way he knows how!” This infers that he doesn’t know how biblically, yet God will accept him anyway. But is this scriptural?
Let’s look at the Scriptures. First we read in Mark 16:15, “
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” These are the words of Jesus. So if a man doesn’t need to know “anything” to be saved, then why did Jesus command his followers to preach to him the Gospel at all? Isn’t it because a person does need to hear that first before he can be saved?
The Gospel is found in 1 Cor. 15:1-4, and speaking of the Gospel in verse three, the apostle Paul says to those Christians in Corinth, “For I delivered unto you FIRST OF ALL that which I also received...” Notice he’s telling them the Gospel, and he says that it was the very first thing that he delivered unto them! This really goes against this anti-biblical modern teaching that a person doesn’t even have to hear the Gospel to be saved, doesn’t it? It should be the very first thing a Sinner hears!
And then in 1 Cor. 15:3, the very next word we find is the little word: “How.” Look at it in context…

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, HOW that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Here we see the Gospel of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. But notice that Paul didn’t just tell them that it happened. He told them of “HOW” it was done. (My wife pointed this simple truth out to me. She’s so cool!) So it’s not just that Jesus died, was buried, and rose again, it’s HOW he did it. And, a person needs to know HOW he did it to get saved. How did he do it? Through a bloody manner, as a substitutionary sacrifice!
This is the Gospel. This is what a Sinner should be delivered “first.” They should hear HOW Jesus died for them in their place as their bleeding substitute! That’s what the Bible says about salvation, as it clearly tells us how much a Sinner needs to know to be saved!
Now, for the gainsayers and the doubters, let’s look back again to the words of Jesus. In Mark 4:12, he tells us that two things must happen before a man can be “converted” (i.e. saved!) I quote the verse: “That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may HEAR, and not UNDERSTAND; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
Here Jesus says that a person must first “hear” and then “understand” before he can be converted (i.e. saved!). So there is something that must happen before a Sinner can get saved. He must hear the Gospel, and he must understand what Jesus did for him. In other words, without a Sinner hearing the Gospel, he can’t believe it for salvation. For how can a person believe in something they’ve never heard??? Clearly a Sinner needs to know something before he can be saved. And, he must understand what he hears. This is just logical, basic, sound Bible doctrine.
Why then are there so many today saying the exact opposite? Why are they so adamant in insisting something silly like, “A Sinner doesn’t have to know anything to get saved,” or “A Sinner doesn’t need to hear the Gospel before he gets saved!
This teaching, that a Sinner doesn’t need to hear the Gospel to be saved, nor even understand it, is quite foreign to the Scriptures. Why then do many so called Christians today teach the opposite? Why are they so adamant in propagating this clearly anti-biblical principle? Jesus didn’t teach this. So why do they?
Then you have those who go to the opposite extreme, claiming a person has to know everything there is about the Gospel, as well as all the details about the virgin birth, the crucifixion, his bodily resurrection, etc. They take the opposite extreme claiming a person has to know it all, before they can believe. This is an extreme position and also very foreign to the Scriptures. The simple fact is, like my Daddy used to say, all a person needs to know is “enough” to get saved. So how much is enough?
I believe it’s so simple. And it’s sad that many people try to make it either too shallow or too complicated. The truth is a person really only needs to know three things before he can get saved. They are:
1. They are a Sinner. (Rom. 3:10:23)
2. Jesus Christ (God) died for them in their place. (1 Peter. 3:18)
3. To get to heaven, they must TRUST the finished work (the shed blood) of Jesus Christ (Eph. 2:8,9, Rom. 3:25)

That’s it! Now that’s not just my opinion. That’s sound Biblical doctrine! For how can a person need a Saviour unless they first see themselves as a Sinner? Jesus died for Sinners. If someone doesn’t view himself as a Sinner, then he wouldn’t view what Jesus did as something he needs. To see yourself as a Sinner is to understand you need to be saved!
How can a man be saved unless he comes to Jesus alone, through what Jesus DID for him, (i.e. He shed His precious blood on behalf of the Sinner for his sins). Jesus is our blood sacrifice who died in our place for our sins. A person who comes to Jesus any other way apart from the finished work at the cross cannot be saved! So if a person doesn’t know about this, how can he come to Christ the right way?
The question then becomes how does a Sinner receive what Jesus did for him? The answer is by FAITH! But faith in what? Many Sinners have faith, but their faith is in their church, their priest, their baptism, their works, etc. If their faith is in these things, then they are lost. Their faith can’t be in what they have DONE, rather what Jesus DID. A Sinner must, therefore, trust in Christ’s finished work, i.e. trust His blood (Rom. 3:25). It’s that simple! How can a man be saved if he hasn’t heard or doesn’t know or understand this?
So in closing, there are those who say you have to know nothing, while there are others who say you have to know everything. They are both wrong! You simply need to know enough to get saved! Watch out for those on both extremes for they are both wrong on this subject! If a person says that a Sinner doesn’t need to know anything, he’s denied the words of Christ and the apostle Paul. He’s teaching an anti-scriptural doctrine, one which might just end up in the damnation of souls by preaching another gospel, a Bloodless Gospel.
If a man goes to the opposite extreme, he might just be guilty of trying to start an argument, one in which he wants to be right and he demands others to follow what he says in teaching a Sinner must know everything he says they must know before they can be saved. And unless you agree with him, you won’t be accepted by him. This often leads to anger, debate, and ultimately division among those who claim to be Christians.
So why not just follow the Bible? The truth is a Sinner needs to know something to be saved. What’s he need to know? He needs to know enough.
A Sinner needs to know the blessed Gospel of Christ’s substitutionary blood atonement! He must know he’s a Sinner but Jesus died for him, in his place. HOW did Jesus die? That’s the most important part. He shed his precious blood, God’s blood! For it’s only through blood that man’s sins can be forgiven (Heb. 9:22). And if a man will accept that blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ by faith in it, then and only then can he be saved!

May - June 2012

For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.
(1 Cor. 16:9)
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Years ago my Dad told me something that I didn’t necessarily agree with at the time. (Being a good Independent Baptist who was taught never to question anything, I just followed traditional teachings). But my Dad said something that really made me think, when he dogmatically told me, “God doesn’t do missions like the Catholics do, in which they send ONE man to ONE place for the rest of his life to reach only a select few and then he lords over them for the rest of their lives. Rather, God wants one man to reach as many people as possible as often as he can in any means he can, wherever he goes.” He then showed me the Apostle Paul as an example, questioning, “Where was he a Missionary too?” I could not answer, for Paul wasn’t a Missionary to only one place. He was a Missionary everywhere he went, and he went a lot of places! And, because of this, he turned the entire world upside down.
I now agree with my Dad. A missionary isn’t just to one place but rather to people. And, in our day and age of “globalism” and the passing of knowledge through many international boundaries and borders through the internet, it’s now possible to reach more people in a much quicker way than just traveling to them (something that’s usually very expensive). Now, you can reach others without ever leaving home. You can be a missionary in many countries and many cultures and languages without actually going there. Rather you can get the Gospel and the truth to them through more cost effective mediums, like the internet, the printed page, radio, audio tapes, Digital video, and more.
Most of you know the current situation we are in and how we are now stationary and unable to travel like before. But this hasn’t hindered our ministry as much as you’d think. Rather, it’s opened up many doors and ways to reach even more people than we did before, and we are seeing God work in not only one country, but many different ones. I constantly get letters, emails, and phone calls all the time from such exotic locations as Chile, Mexico, Honduras, Argentina, Guatemala, Germany, Spain, England, and more. People all over the world are looking for the truth, but they don’t seem to find it until they look online. And that’s where they often tell me they found my website.
But with the countless people who are looking for the truth, we also find our “adversaries” who are against it and us. And we find we have to battle them as well as we try to take the Gospel to the lost and dying world.
In this prayer letter, I’ll give just a brief sample of what God’s doing with us, as we continue to serve him.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MONTHS OF MAY AND JUNE 2012
I’ve been so busy in June and July it’s hard to know where to begin. I’m continually getting inquires from people wanting more information about the Spanish Bible, the Blood-stained Gospel, and the importance of living a Spirit-filled life. I’m also busy working on translating articles, books, sound doctrinal material, and more from English to Spanish, in order to reach more in both English and Spanish. And, I’ve been busy updating my website. We are getting a lot more feedback from it and this is very encouraging!
In May I got a phone call from a Hispanic person who was a Seventh Day Adventist. We talked for several hours in Spanish, and it became immediately apparent that he wasn’t saved. He thought salvation was by faith and works, and he believed that unless someone continued to work for it, he could lose it. He, like so many people I’ve met over the years, had no idea how to “rightly divide” the word of truth. This made me think about the importance of making more videos in both English and Spanish to help people see the many different “dispensations” in the scriptures and how we are now in the age of the Church, an age of Grace, where salvation is by faith alone in the FINISHED WORK (i.e. the shed blood) of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Please pray that God would open the door to be able to make some videos which would help people like this man see the light. Also, please pray for this man’s salvation. It’s so sad to see people lost and confused with a false gospel.
In May, I also got a phone call from a man who wants me to teach him Spanish. And not just any Spanish, but old Biblical Spanish from the Protestant Reformation. He’ll pay me to teach him, as he really wants to learn about the old Spanish Bibles and be able to read them. So we will have classes once or twice a week via Skype. Thank God for Skype!
There’s a poor Pastor in a desert border town of Honduras named Florentino Aguilar, who calls me from time to time. Usually he calls asking for money. But lately he’s been calling asking Bible questions. I’ve preached for him on several occasions, (he’s the pastor I preached for when I was stung by a scorpion and my tongue later went numb for a whole day). The latest questions he’s had are quite interesting. I answered them all with scripture, and he was very thankful for the references. It’s great to be able to still teach the Bible, even though I’m not physically in the same location as the Pastor, nor even in the same country. Thank God for telephones!
Much of our support goes for postage, especially for sending out Spanish Bibles all over Latin America. We are also busy printing up tracts and doctrinal booklets and distributing them far and wide. Thank God for the printed page!
In June, I also was contacted and asked to finish the Kent Hovind slides for his Children’s video. You’ll remember in Honduras several years ago we invited him to come and preach while we taped him in both English and Spanish. And although we translated some of his slides into Spanish, we never finished. Well, now they want to get his Children’s video out in Spanish and I’ve been contacted to finish the translation work on the slides for that. It took me a while, but they are now done and in July, I go to their office in Pensacola, and turn them in. We hope to have this video done and available soon. There are many Spanish-speakers in countries world-wide already asking for it. Thank God for Digital Video!
I also got a phone call from a family in California in June who wanted me to help them find someone to go and visit their dying Hispanic family member in the hospital. I was able to eventually get them in touch with someone. They said, “We know you have the right Spanish Bible and the right Gospel, and we want both of those things when dealing with our loved one!” It was great they thought of me! Here I am in Florida, but I was able to get them in contact with someone in California. My how God works!
In closing, I still sometimes struggle with being discouraged. I’ll be honest, I greatly miss being able to travel so much. And, sometimes I feel so useless and that God is finished with me because I’m not always going somewhere new. But then comes time to write a prayer letter, and I look back on what God’s done with me in the situation I’m in here, and it’s hard not to get excited seeing that God is still using me! So I’ll continue on steadfast trusting him to open more doors.
Because Jesus shed His oh so precious blood for a sinner like me,

A LITTLE SOMETHING EXTRA
Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. (Hebrews 2:1)
The above verse is so powerful and pertinent for us today. We should indeed give even more earnest heed to the truth, and be careful not to let it slip!
Since I’ve been a Christian things have changed so much. (Maybe it’s the Obama doctrine of “hope and change”). But one thing is for sure, Christianity is so different from what it used to be. I’ve stated it before that when I left and went to Honduras I knew who I was working with and what they believed. But when I came back, I felt like I was in an episode of the Twilight Zone, for many of the same men I once knew and preached for had changed their beliefs and compromised. This bothered me so much. Why would they change what they used to preach, especially when what they used to preach was sound Bible doctrine?
Seeing so much change in Fundamentalist circles, I’ve found I had to make a choice, either: 1) change myself in order to get along with it, or 2) preach against the lies, deception, and abuse in it, and be persecuted by them for doing so. That’s been my struggle. Finally, I chose to do the latter, and I’ve paid for it ever since. Loss of support, loss of friends, loss of fellowship, etc. In other words: “MANY ADVERSARIES!” But my conscience tells me I did the right thing!
But still there are some who don’t understand what I’m talking about. There are Christians who don’t see what I do. I don’t know if it’s cause they are in their own little world with their own little group and that’s why they don’t see what’s happening. But the truth is, there is much blatant deception and false doctrine in today’s Churches, especially when it comes to the three most important Christian doctrines: Salvation, Sanctification, and the Scriptures.
I’ve reported on it time and again, and I hate to sound like a broken record, but I’m meeting people all the time who tell me they too have seen what we see, and were encouraged by our stand for the truth. They, like us, are looking for other like-minded believers, and it’s great to meet them and fellowship with them. We truly are a remnant.
SALVATION
Rather than preach the Biblical means of salvation by “faith in the blood” of Jesus Christ, many today are preaching things like, “make your commitment to Christ,” or “Ask Jesus into your heart,” or “Beg God to forgive you.” What’s wrong with these? They aren’t found in the Bible! They are all things you can do in and of yourself (i.e. works), and they all by-pass “the finished work” of Jesus and faith in his blood atonement. I get so tired of people preaching these “Bloodless Gospels.” Yet you hear them being preached everywhere from the pulpits to the street corner. Why are those who claim to be Christians leaving out the Blood??? It appears someone let it “slip” when it comes to preaching the correct Gospel of salvation. Who could it have been?
SANCTIFICATION
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve asked other Christians about Brother or Sister so and so and heard stories of them falling headlong into sin. As much as it pains me to say it, the truth is our Churches are full of fornicators, adulterers, thieves, and liars. I’ve seen it time and again and heard story after story and it makes me so sick to my stomach to hear some of the things that are done by people who claim the name of Christ. They claim to be “Christians” but the sure don’t live like such. The word “Christian” means “Christ-like” but they are anything but. If you look at their lives they are full of sin, and completely eaten up with worldliness, bitterness, anger, hate, etc. And I’m just talking about many Ministers, Evangelists, Missionaries, etc., that I’ve known! I haven’t even gotten to those who are sitting in the church pew!
My wife tells me all the time how little preaching we hear against sin. I remember when I was newly saved, that men would preach so hard against sin they would spit when they spoke. Some even walked the pews and pointed fingers and named names. But where are these men today? One old Preacher said, “The thing the Pastor doesn’t preach against is usually the thing that will get into the church and destroy it!” How true.
But one thing I’ve learned in the ministry is the harder you preach against sin today, the less invitations you’ll get to preach in pulpits, and the less friends you’ll have. Maybe this is why we are in the mess we are in. Someone let it “slip” when it comes to preaching on Sanctification. I wonder who it was?

THE SCRIPTURES
Finally, I find that I can’t get along with modern Christianity because they usually use another version of the Scriptures. I’m not talking about English, as those who I work with are King James only, just like me. However, in Spanish it’s a completely different story. There are those who use the 1960, the 1909, the 1865, and others, and they all are perverted Bibles with many doctrinal errors and problems. Yet, they don’t care. And what’s worse, they won’t work with you unless you use their perverted Bible version.
I’ve tried to explain this for years and point people to the best Spanish Bible—The Valera 1602 Purified. And, in my last prayer letter I sent a DVD about the whole Spanish Bible issue, telling as clearly as possible the problems with modern versions and where they come from. I hope it was a real eye opener, as most Fundamentalist Missionaries use a perverted Bible in Spanish. Why? Because someone let the truth “slip” about where those versions come from. I wonder who that could have been?
With all this stated, I must say that I often find that I feel like I’m just kicking against the pricks. That is, I’m trying to live right, do right, and preach right, but by doing so, I’m going against mainstream Christianity! And, by my not joining them in their folly, they think I must not be right with God, for I don’t do what they do. So, they turn against me the more. But I don’t want to change, nor do I want to live a perverse lifestyle, nor use a watered down Bible!
Thus, I find I’m at another cross-roads in my ministry: Do I even continue trying? Do I just quit and forget about the whole thing or do I continue with what I’m doing? It would be so easy to just give up. But to do so I find would be to go against the Bible, the truth, and my own conscience. Thus, I decided to just continue steadfast with the minimal support I receive. (I’m getting about 800 a month in support now, all of which goes to the ministry, and none of which goes to us). But something has eventually got to give. Either I have to get a part-time job to help pay bills, or I need more support and I’ll have to do deputation over again. (Something that will be hard, knowing what modern Christians preach about those three main things).
Please pray for me as I have to decide what to do. In the current situation we are in, we can’t travel much, so we are doing all we can where we are. And one thing I’ve found is that God’s given me almost more to do than I can handle Yet we get little support to do it. Please pray for this. I know God will supply our need. But I do ask for your prayers. I’ve seen too many preachers compromise the truth for fame and fortune. I would rather die than do so.
Time is short and I truly want to give “more earnest heed…” One thing I don’t want to do is let the important doctrines of the faith “slip.” Nor do I want to turn my back on God to get in good with the Pharisees and Laodiceans. I want to be a “true Christian” and not a “religious” groupie. For they willfully let things “slip” to augment their numbers. And this has made it so very hard for so many to find the truth.
That’s why we appreciate you all and your stand for the truth! God is good, and even though we live in the latter days where apostasy abounds, it’s still good to know there are others out there like you who also make it a point to “earnestly” stand for the truth.
For truth and right,

Robert Breaker

March - April 2012

And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.
(1 Cor. 8:2 )

Hello again from the Breakers,

The above verse my wife wrote on the white board in our office. I’ve looked at it long and hard for the last two months, and it makes a lot of sense. There are some things that all Christians ought to know. But I’m finding that so many don’t know certain things. And, all too often Christians take for granted that other Christians already know what they think they should. But they seldom question them to find out. This has always bothered me. For I’m finding there are many Christians who don’t know what they should. Either they’ve been mislead or they have never been told. And this is something that has led to the current state of apostasy in which we live today.
This has always made it hard for me in the ministry as so many others aren’t on the same page. They often have another Bible (in Spanish) or another Gospel. And they never even think that they could be wrong. I’ve found it very hard to work with such people. For they don’t desire to receive instruction. That’s why I’ve always felt alone and out on my own. And that led to my often being discouraged. But now I look at it as a blessing. John the Baptist was in the wilderness in his ministry. Jesus had to go out by himself in his ministry, and he had to take some men and train them himself. Why? They were instructed wrongly by the religious powers that be. The apostle Paul even had to teach others the true Gospel, and salvation by grace through faith alone. Why? Because Peter was adding an element of works to it. (See the book of Galatians). So we see that the history of the Church age is people claiming to be religious who were wrong. And God sends them someone to show them the error of their ways and instruct them to believe correctly.
I’m finding in the last days, that this is the biggest part of the ministry. For there are countless millions of lost religious people who aren’t believing right. And, it’s often because they have never heard. (For an example see the enclosed email testimony I received from a man who’s struggled for years with his salvation, but just recently learned the truth of salvation).

HEALTH PROBLEMS

The months of March and April of 2012 I’ve been overcome with much sickness. In March I had a cold that wouldn’t go away for several weeks. It then affected my stomach and I wasn’t able to eat much. Afterwards, I had a gallbladder attack in April that was so bad it left me on the floor rolled up in a ball night after night almost to the point of tears, which lead to an eventual trip to the Emergency Room (where they charged me a whole lot of money for doing absolutely nothing!)  I went two weeks without eating, and I lost about 20 pounds. I’m still dealing with this, and might have to have it removed via surgery, something I don’t look forward to!
Still, I believe God gave me a gallbladder for a reason, and I’ve studied the side effects of having it removed (they aren’t good). So I’m trying to use herbs, supplements, vitamins, and healthy eating to fix the problem. Please pray for me, as I go through this struggle, that God would heal me so I don’t have to have surgery.

MAKING A SPANISH BIBLE HISTORY DVD!

As you all know, part of my ministry has been trying to point people to the best Spanish Bible, which
is the Valera 1602 Purified. But most modern day Pharisees don’t want to hear about it. They’ve already chosen to defend their own corrupt versions at all costs. So in March, I made a trip to a Church in Texas to tape a teaching DVD in both English and Spanish on exactly why the Valera 1602 P is the best Spanish Bible, and how all other Spanish translations are corrupt versions put out by compromising so-called Protestant Bible Societies (many of which are in league with Rome in making new versions of the Bible based upon the Critical Texts rather than the Reformation Texts). I’m enclosing a copy of my unedited DVD in this prayer letter. (I hope to have a more professional edited version available later on). I believe you will find the information shocking to say the least. For either Catholics, liberal Christians, or Communists have been the main hindering factors towards getting the pure words of God to the Spanish Speaking People. I ask you to share this DVD with others, so they too can know the truth. I’m also enclosing an edited audio CD in English of the same teaching. I pray God will use this information to help people make informed decisions on why they should choose the best Spanish Bible to reach the Hispanic people.

FINDING OUT I’M PART HISPANIC!

Speaking of Hispanic people, I talked to my Mom in March and she told me something I did not know. She said my great-great grandmother was from Spain. That means I too have Spanish blood in me! I’m Hispanic! This is something I never knew. No wonder I love the Hispanic people and Hispanic things so much!
WITNESSING TO OTHERS

Not only have I been busy passing out tracts, but I’ve been witnessing to others as well these past two months. I’ll briefly mention a few people I’ve spoken to. But first, let me mention something I’ve noticed a lot lately. When I see Hispanic people, I love to go up to them and ask them in Spanish, “¿Habla español?” (“Do you speak Spanish?”). Oftentimes the people I meet are illegal aliens who enjoy speaking their native tongue with others while here in a foreign land. But lately, I’ve been finding that there are a lot of Hispanic people here in the U.S. who don’t speak Spanish. They are the second generation, and they’ve grown up speaking English their whole lives. This is both disappointing and encouraging. For they can be dealt with in English and pointed to the King James Bible! That means you can reach them in English when you come across them!
In Texas, I went to a barber shop and had the chance to speak with a woman from Iran. Farsi was her first language, but she also spoke some English. It was interesting to see things through her perspective. She fled Iran because of religious persecution from Muslims and she viewed the U.S. as a place of religious freedom.
I also spoke with a Hispanic man whose wife was a Jehovah Witness. Because he would not join that corrupt organization, the elders of that group counseled his wife to divorce him, and now he’s going through a bitter struggle trying to keep his children. How sad that a religious organization could be so cruel and heartless in dividing families.
Probably the best place to find Hispanic people is at Flea Markets. And my wife and I enjoy going there on the week-ends and passing out Spanish tracts. I always enjoy asking them where they are from. Oftentimes they are from either Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, or El Salvador. Those seem to be the most exited countries by illegals to the U.S.
Most Hispanics I deal with all claim to be Catholic. Thus, I find I always have to talk them out of their religious beliefs before I can explain to them the truth of the Gospel. Religion is such a horrible thing! It brain-washes people into thinking they must DO ENOUGH to make it to heaven. While salvation is such a wonderful thing if they can just see it. For it’s realizing GOD DID ENOUGH to take you heaven! You must simply trust his finished blood atonement as sufficient to forgiven you your sins.
So that’s about it. That’s the news from March and April 2012. In spite of sickness, God’s been good to allow me some small victories. I pray that what’s been done will be used of God to reach others with the truth of the Gospel and the truth about the Spanish Bible.

As always, thanks for your continued prayers and support. We appreciate you all so much!

Because Jesus shed His oh so precious blood for a sinner like me,

Robert Breaker

P.S. Sorry in taking so long to get this out. It took us longer than expected to get the DVD’s burned. Also a special thanks to Bro. Jeff Johnson for helping with recording the DVD and editing the CD.

EMAIL FROM A MAN WHO THANKS ME FOR PREACHING THE GOSPEL CORRECTLY:

“Robert,
I really enjoyed your website. I am 31 years old and I have been a member of an Independent Baptist Church for 15 years. I have went to the altar and asked Jesus to save me, begged God for salvation, [and] asked Jesus into my heart. I never had assurance of salvation and I would talk to my preacher about it and we would go through the sinners prayer again to "make sure" I was saved. Needless to say to no avail. I have lived the past 15 years miserable because I had no assurance. I bet I have asked Jesus to save me 500 times in the past 15 years. Just recently through another preacher’s website on the internet. I have learned that the sinners prayer and begging for salvation is not the gospel. It is faith in the finished work of Christ. With all that being said I have never quite heard the gospel as you presented it. I had no idea the BLOOD was as important as it is. I would like some more info on the blood and its relation to the gospel if you have more. I am trusting completely in Christ and his precious blood to save me. I still deal with some doubts but I know I will be completely free before too long. My doubts deal mainly with issues such as "Did I believe enough or in the right way? Or "am I trusting him enough". After all the years of the false gospel I have to rid my head of it and quit looking at me and completely focus on the Savior. Any help from you would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your stand on the Gospel!”

January - February 2012

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do. And we beseech you,  brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;  And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves. Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
(1 Thes. 5:11-15 )
Greetings again from the Breakers,
Well, the above verse says it all. This is how we as Christians are supposed to treat one another. We should show forth the Spirit of Christ and manifest the fruits of the Spirit on a continual basis. We should be active in edification and exhortation. We should admonish others to esteem others better than themselves. We should also comfort and support each other in Christ, while being patient towards one another. At least that’s what the Bible instructs us to do. But my how different the real world really is!
We live in a day and age of “road rage.” I’m so surprised at how quickly people become angry and how constantly they vent their frustrations out on others, especially when you do nothing but simply present to them the Gospel and/or tell them the truth. Some say it’s just the sign of the times, others say it’s the government poisoning our water system and making us paranoid and antagonistic, while others say it’s just the manifestation of the attitude of the world in these last days (i.e. the love of many shall wax cold). I don’t know. But everywhere I look, I see tempers flaring and people mercilessly attacking each other.
It’s not just in the world and secular politics, but also in the Church, and it’s sad to see those who claim to be Christians treating each other in such an un-Christian manner. I report this, as we’ve recently been slandered online by a Christian brother who desires to belittle us and destroy our ministry. (And it was awful.  I mean outright slander!)
I didn’t want to even bring this up. But I feel it’s important as it’s helped me to change for the better. I love him and pray for him, but he sure doesn’t want anything to do with me. That’s why I desire to go to the opposite extreme and try even harder to be more cheerful, happy, grateful, and joyful. (Something I’ve been missing for some time). We’ve been hurt so much and so often, I’ve found I’ve become numb. I’m tired of not feeling anymore. So I’m trying to make an about face and just try to feel true Christian joy, no matter what comes my way. One of my favorite verses to quote now is: “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts...and be ye thankful!” (Col. 3:15).
Sadly, this anti-Christian attitude of malice towards others has become more rampant in these last days, and I’m seeing it grow more and more. What it is? I believe I’ve figured it out. It’s the spirit of Phariseeism.
I’ve been studying the Pharisees a lot in the Bible, and it’s scary what they were really like. They were their own little group of manipulative men with a secret society mentality who promoted and protected each other and even covered up one another’s sins. Further, they ran in groups and patted each other on the back and preached for one another, while crying aloud against others who weren’t part of their movement. They delighted in attacking others who didn’t agree with them, and even going so far as to ridicule, mock, and even crucify and kill those (like Jesus) who had the audacity to point out their evil and pernicious ways. Even though they appeared clean and righteous outwardly, their sins abounded inwardly. These were unseen by man, but clearly viewed by God. Thus, they were self-righteous and this made them think they were better than others. Anyone who wouldn’t give them the glory they felt they so rightly deserved they held in great disdain. Their pride led them to thinking they were authorities and this led to them becoming divisive. Thus, you either joined them and agreed with them, or you faced intimidation, wrath, ridicule, and almost certain death!
Now, does this sound like anyone you know of? I think it accurately portrays quite a few religious leaders I’ve known over the years. I still see a lot of spiritual Pharisees today, and they aren’t hard to spot. They always brag upon themselves and their group. They always stick together and praise one another. And they all seem to ridicule others who don’t do things exactly like they do. Quite frankly, I’m tried of these guys, and I certainly don’t want to be a part of them.
Over the last several years I’ve been serving the Lord away from the groupies, and it’s been wonderful to serve God of a pure heart with liberty, without being under bondage to the Pharisees. But there’s one thing I’ve found that I lacked: CHRISTIAN JOY! So now I’m finding that the key to happiness is learning to enjoy persecution. This is a hard truth to get a hold of, and something a Pharisee will never understand. Why? They don’t get persecuted! It’s because their collective won’t allow it. They will always march in mass against someone who speaks against anyone of their number. They aren’t persecuted, because they themselves are the Persecutors.
But when you are truly free of such people, then you understand why they are the way they are. (You almost feel sorry for them and their critical and bitter attitudes). You also understand the power of intimidation, for the Pharisees use it quite frequently to keep their members in chains. To be a Pharisee, one must compromise and submit to go along with the pack, no matter what. But what happens if the Pharisees as a whole become corrupt? What if they begin to head in the wrong direction and believe a lie? And what happens if you even dare to speak up about it and question their practices? The answer is: instant excommunication! But it doesn’t end there. Because they want so badly for others to know they don’t identify with you, they must continually ridicule you for the rest of your life.
So this is what I’m going through. I used to be ashamed, but now I embrace it. I’ve always been “that guy.” You know that guy, don’t you? He’s the one who sees something that’s wrong and he can’t be quiet about it. He has to say something. That’s me! And it’s gotten me in trouble time and again. But I find I don’t want to compromise and become a Pharisee. So I’ve come to terms with the fact that my lot in life is to just stand for the truth and let them crucify me like they did Jesus.
Pharisees reward their own graciously. But if you leave their fold, you’ll find they seek to utterly destroy all those who have left their numbers. In other words, they aren’t so interested in STANDING FOR something, rather they enjoy STANDING AGAINST things. It’s like they are just looking for someone or something to pick on and start a fight. Sometimes I think they actually delight in the pain and misery of others. I don’t desire to be a part of anything like that. No matter how adamantly they try to tell you they are “Christian,” to me such people are not Christian at all.
With that said, I’ve determined to continue serving the Lord of a pure heart, but with something I haven’t had much of lately: HAPPINESS. Paul said it best with, “If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.” (2 Cor. 11:30).
The Pharisees glory in themselves while Paul gloried in the Lord and in his suffering for his name’s sake. I’m tired of living in the dumps and always worrying about what others say about me. My pitty-party is officially over. I’m learning to glory in their attacks, and wear it as a badge of honor for the truth’s sake. But one thing I’ve noticed, is that the Pharisees don’t stick with the FACTS. They can’t, because deep down they know they’re wrong. So that’s why they are so quick to engage in personal ATTACKS, and NAME-CALLING. Like little second graders they must resort to mud-slinging, because dealing with the issue only exposes them for what they really are. And their constant use of dirty words, truly shows they have a dirty heart. (Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh).
That’s why I’m focusing more now on the fruits of the Spirit and speaking the truth in such a manner that won’t turn people away, but will make them want to learn more. I like Ephesians 4:15: “But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.”
Notice what this verse says. We are to speak the truth in love. Why? That we “may GROW UP into him in all things!” Does that mean if a man doesn’t do this, he’s not grown up?
Maybe that’s why modern day Pharisees seem to be acting like a bunch of children with their name-calling rather than simply dealing with the issues and seeking an answer from the scriptures. Could it be they are just children, and/or babes in Christ? Maybe Paul said the following in 1 Cor. 14:20, speaking of this very thing: “Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.” As for me, I’m tired of the malice, hate, anger, spite, name-calling, jealousy, and intimidation from the Pharisees. And I’m making it a point to do all I can to simply preach the TRUTH no matter what the cost. I’ve determined to deal with the ISSUES and the FACTS, and not focus on the MAN behind the issue. (Which the Pharisees are so good at doing). For I’ve lately come across so many people who’ve been hurt by other Christians and turned away from the truth by the negative spirits of the uncompassionate Pharisees. These wounded souls need Christ as well. And if they are saved, they need comfort and exhortation. It’s for this reason I want to make it known publicly, that I’m not a modern-day Pharisee! Nor do I want to be. I’m not interested in fame, money, glory, the praise of men, etc. I’m just a guy plodding along and planting seeds. And I want to make sure I’m doing so of a joyful heart, a spirit of meekness, and being lead by God’s Spirit. For Pharisees frequently do the opposite, being oftentimes in the flesh with their carnal attacks.
I’ve found over the years that the ministry isn’t always fun. I’m tired of it being like this. I want to actually ENJOY serving Jesus, and live for him because I enjoy doing so, not just because I know I have to because it’s the right thing to do. I don’t want to be a modern-day Jonah. I pray others will take heed and strive to do the same.
Time is short, Christ is coming soon! We don’t need the Pharisees, for quite often they do more harm to the cause of Christ than good! All we need is Jesus. Let’s try to get more people won to him, and get more people pointed to the scriptures. That’s my desire and what I’m trying to do.
Sincerely,
Robert Breaker
HIGHLIGHTS, NEWS, AND UPCOMING PLANS
This month I’ve been very busy. I taped some DVDs in Spanish on the teaching of the Seven Mysteries in the Bible, and we hope to have those available soon. I also spent a lot of time preparing a slide show for when I go to Dallas in March. A Christian brother wants me to make a professional DVD about the History of the Spanish Bible and the various versions of it available today to a church who desires to start a Spanish Ministry. I hope to be able to send this DVD out to you all in my next prayer letter.
Also in March I will meet with my Pastor and several others, as we discuss printing the latest edition of our Valera 1602 Purified Spanish Bible, and, we hope to eventually get a bilingual KJV/Spanish Bible done. I’m enclosing with this prayer letter a page from the book of Philippians. Our desire is an old Castilian Spanish text (Castilian Spanish is by law the type of Spanish in which all official documents in Spanish should be kept), which is as close as possible to those old Reformation, Protestant versions, and which also is as close to the KJV as possible without losing the language and flavor of the old Reina-Valera Bibles. I ask for your prayers as we work on this project. For all that’s available today is either a corrupt 1865, 1909, and/or 1960 American Bible Society versions. There is also the modern Gomez, but it took as it’s basis the corrupt 1909 and 1960 and corrected those with the texts underlying our King James. (A good name for that version would be The 1960 Purified, as it reads so closely with the word choice of that revision). On my website is a comparison chart of over 207 verses which show that the Gomez isn’t what it claims to be. I would encourage you to go to my site for that information and much more. See: www.rrb3.com.
I’ve also been witnessing, and boy is it odd what you come across nowadays! The other day I witnessed to a man who had a tattoo on him that looked like a satanic symbol. When I asked him about it, he tried to convince me that he was a Christian, and that it was a “Christian symbol.” He was also into “Christian Rock Music” and tried to tell me how much he loved Jesus. What is this world coming to? It’s so weird. How can you have the world and God too? The lines are being blurred so often, it’s hard to tell who really is or isn’t a Christian anymore. That’s why I ask people their testimony and then ask them to tell me if that lines up with the Bible or not. Often times it doesn’t. If they don’t claim to be Christians (which is so rare, as many people today claim to be), I find I have to deal with so much before I can even get to the point of presenting the Gospel to them. It’s almost like you have to do a deprogramming session with people and talk them out of their belief in Evolution, Science, Religion, etc., before they will acknowledge the fact that the Bible is the word of God, Jesus is God, and He died in their place for their sins. (Sadly, many of them won’t even say they are a Sinner!) Thus, we press on, preaching to everyone we meet, and desiring to point them to Christ crucified, and faith in his blood atonement alone for salvation.
We’ve gotten a lot of good feedback the last two months from people. God is really getting out a lot of info from our website about the Spanish Bible Issue, while the Pharisees are more active than ever in trying to cover it up. The latest thing is them adamantly defending the Catholic Spanish word “Verbo” for Jesus in John 1:1. They even try to run to the corrupt Latin Vulgate and prove Verbum is the oldest extant reading. This, however, is not true, as 100 years after Jesus the early church used Sermo rather than Verbum, just like the old Protestants used Palabra before the reading of Verbo came along in Spanish. Someone has changed the old Latin word and the old Spanish word. Who would do such a thing? It’s the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH! And I personally feel that we shouldn’t allow that church to dictate to us which words we should use in our Spanish Bibles. That’s why we don’t desire “Verbo.” Even Erasmus in the 1500’s wrote a treatise on why Verbum is wrong! Verbo also has connections with the Jewish Kabbalah, which is nothing short of witchcraft. How sad that modern Christians choose a version in Spanish that has more in common with witchcraft than with the Protestants of old who stood against the Catholic Church and their Bloody Inquisition which prohibited the word of God translated into other languages.
Our Spanish Bible further is the only one available today which follows the KJV in using “LORD” (SEÑOR) in the Old Testament instead of “Jehovah” (in all but six places like the KJV). This is important as many Jehovah Witnesses use this to their advantage and prey upon unsuspecting Hispanics with their false doctrines and teachings that Jesus is not God. Yet, modern day Pharisees are defending the word Jehovah in the Spanish Bible. Why go against the King James Bible? And why choose a reading that helps cults deceive people? I just don’t understand it.
God bless and thanks again for all your prayers and support. We appreciate you all for not going the way of the Pharisees, but for loving the truth and standing for it and for standing with us as we preach it and present it in as many ways as possible to others!
