Welcome! Here you will find all of my prayer letters written ever since I started the ministry as a Missionary to Honduras, and then as I now am as a Missionary to the Spanish-Speaking People of the Americas. We hope to update this with our current prayer letter that we send out every two months.

September 1999

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ!  The month of September took me through New York, Rhode Island, Pennsylvannia, and Ohio as well as several other states doing the work of an evangelist.
In a meeting in Miltonville, Ohio, two young girls named Elen and Chelsy made a profession of faith.  Chelsy is German, and she didn't speak English well.  After she accepted Christ as her Saviour, she said, "God put my sins."  It may not be perfect English, but she understood what god did for her perfectly!
In Waterbury, Conneticut, I was was able to attend a week long revival meeting with evangelist Bill Hagg.  I was able to do some work on the Church there and be a blessing to the Pastor.  We had a great time, as we saw some souls saved there also!
On my way through New Haven, Conneticut, I stopped at Yale University and passed out tracts.  Yale was founded as a Christian school, but it is anything but Christian today.  I took a tour of the school, and found out that Jonathan Edwards graduated from there in the 1700's.  He is famous for preaching his message entitled "Sinners in the hands of an Angry God!."  And, God must be even more angry now, as that school is in total apostasy!
On Sept. 7th, 1999 the Lord answered a prayer that I had been praying for some time.  It had been my heart's desire to win a Jew to the Lord Jesus Christ.  The Lord not only let me win one, but three Jewish teenagers to Him in Narragansett, Rhode Island.  There names are Levi, Mercedes, and Emily.  Please remember them in your prayers.  I walkeed up to them adn gave them all tracts and then walked away.  After looking at it, Emily ran after me adn said, "Hey, what's this?"  I said, "It's a gospel tract about Jesus Christ."  Emily then said, "I'm Jewish." To the which I replied, "Jesus was Jewish also, and he was your Messiah!"  I then explained the Gospel to them adn about half way through, she interrupted me and said, "You mean it's like Matthew 1:21, And he shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call him name JESUS: for he shall save HIS PEOPLE from their sins."  I was shocked that she knew that verse and quoted it word for word.  I said, "Yes, that's exactly what it's like!"  I asked her how she knew that, and she said she went to a Baptist Church one time when she was 7 years old, and that was her memory verse in Sunday School.  Praise God after 11 years she still remember it!  God said in Isaiah 55:11, "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing wherunto I sent it."  And, God sure accomplished it!  She then turned to her two friends and said, "I want to get saved now, do you want to get saved with me?"  They said, "Yes," and I was able to lead them all to the Lord!
Also, while in Rhode Island, at Historic Baptist Church, I preached a message about heaven, and the Pastor's son came forward and accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour!  So, praise the Lord for that!
On September 11th, while in New York, I went to Time Square in downtown Manhattan with some other brothers to streetpreach and hand out tracts.  I was suprised how cold the people were.  They just ignored you, or walked right by you like you were a brick wall.  But, we did get a lot of tracts out.
Also, I was surpised how many Jews there were in New York.  One lady came up to me while I was passing out tracts, and she asked me if I was concerned that I was offending people.  I said, "Nope!"  Then, in an arrogant and hateful tone of voice that sounded like she just wanted to pick a fight, she said, "What do you think about Jews?"  I said, "I love them because they are God's chosen people, and I pray for them."  She didn't know what to say or do, so she just stormed off in a huff.  (That's what you call killing them with kindness!)  I love the Jews and want to see them saved!
The last couple of weeks of September, I had some meetings in South Florida.  In Miami, I preached in Spanish at the Independent Baptist Church of Hialeah.  The people enjoyed it tremendously, and several member of the Church were from Honduras. I enjoyed being with them and practicing my Spanish.
The Lord continues to bless me as I had three new Churches take me on for support in September, and two more that said they would in the future.  So I praise the Lord for that as God continues to give the increase!

Thanks again for all your continued prayers and support.

Because of Him,
