Welcome! Here you will find all of my prayer letters written ever since I started the ministry as a Missionary to Honduras, and then as I now am as a Missionary to the Spanish-Speaking People of the Americas. We hope to update this with our current prayer letter that we send out every two months.

September - October 2005

Dear Blood bought flock of God,

September and October have been by far the most fruitful months of my ministry here in Honduras.  I find myself full of joy in reporting to you all the great and marvelous things that God is doing in Honduras!
Many years ago Missionary Santos Ortiz told me he entered a church and the Pastor presented him to the congregation with these words: “He will come and tell you what he’s doing for the Lord.”  Bro. Ortiz approached the pulpit and replied, “Thank you Pastor, but I’ve not come to brag upon myself, only to tell you what God’s doing with someone like me!”  Amen and amen!
So too, it is my desire to declare what God’s doing here in Honduras with a nobody like me!  God will save anyone and then God can and will use anybody.  All that’s needed is a willing heart and a desire to please Him.  Too many “Jehus” exist nowadays who only wish to exalt themselves and what they are doing in their “zeal for the Lord.”  Thus, I pray this letter might be a refreshing change from Missionaries who desire only to applaud themselves and their works.  For it’s my desire to glorify the blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and brag on Him and His life changing power!

SOULS SAVED!!!

Sometimes you have to go fishing to catch fish.  But occasionally, while you’re out on the lake, a fish will jump into the boat.  This is rare, but with God anything is possible!
On October fourteenth, Catalino Hernandez, 23 and Domingo Meza, 42 “jumped into the boat.”  They came to my house and asked how to be saved.  I’ve been praying for and preaching to Catalino for some time, but his vice of alcohol kept him from getting saved.  However, he finally became fed up with his sin and decided it was time to leave the old life behind and start a new one — an eternal life.   His exact words were, “I’m tired of serving the Devil and knowing I’m going to Hell.  I’m ready to get saved and serve God!”  Right there at my kitchen table both men trusted the precious sin cleansing blood of Jesus Christ to save their souls!
I offered to drive them home after, and on the way Catalino asked me to visit his girlfriend, Michell Gomez, 26, and give her the Gospel as well.  He was so happy to be saved, that he wanted to see others born again also!  After giving her the Gospel, she bowed her head and trusted the blood of Jesus Christ to save her.  I was ecstatic!   Three people saved in one day!
The next day a young lad named Leonel Alberto Tosta Velasquez, age 9, came to our house. He’d been visiting services in my home and had some questions.  After inviting him to stay for lunch, and giving him the Gospel, he too decided to trust Jesus Christ as his Saviour!
We’ve been holding Youth Meetings each Saturday Night in my garage for young people ages twelve to twenty-five.  Each week we preach on one of the prophets.  We encourage the kids to bring visitors, and usually they do.  God blessed on the night of Oct. 12th, when two trusted Christ Jesus as their Saviour.  I personally dealt with Christian David Chavez Reyes, 12, while Missionary Mike Lane’s wife won a young lady named Nancy.
Also, on Saturday October 22nd, Wendy Patricia Aguilar Alvarado, 14, trusted the Lord as her Saviour after I took her through the scriptures!
Not only did God bless by letting us see some souls saved, but he also blessed with allowing me to perform some baptisms.  On October 26th, my wife and I, with Native Missionary Erick Sanchez, journeyed five hours away to the city of Pidaera in the department of Lempira, Honduras.  Far off in the distance we could see two volcanoes in the country of El Salvador.  In the small aldea (suburb) of El Carrizal we performed a baptism service.  In all, four were baptized by Erick Sanchez and myself. One was an eighty-one-year-old Indian woman!
Apart from the soulwinning and baptizing, God’s also used us to get out many boxes of New Testaments and tracts to other Missionaries and Local Pastors here.  I’ve also had many open doors to preach in different areas!

Thanks again for all your continued prayers and support.  God bless you all!

Because He loved me enough to die for me,
