Welcome! Here you will find all of my prayer letters written ever since I started the ministry as a Missionary to Honduras, and then as I now am as a Missionary to the Spanish-Speaking People of the Americas. We hope to update this with our current prayer letter that we send out every two months.

August 2004

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour,

As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.”
                                                                                                                                    - Proverbs 25:25

The month of August certainly brought a lot of “good news” in service for the Lord!

We had dinner on the grounds on the first at Quebrada de Lajas, and had a great time of fellowship as we cooked together at the little building we are renting.  It was great to see the people working together.  Afterwards we had a great service.

At the Baptist Camp behind my house here in La Esperanza we had a short revival from the 6th through the 8th.  A Missionary from El Salvador was asked to preach, and he did a great job.

On the 15th, we had six saved at the Baptist Camp after service!  I lead three of them personally to the Lord, while the other Missionary dealt with the others.  They were ripe and ready to be saved, and it was a blessing to be able to take them through the scriptures and show them how to trust the shed blood of Jesus Christ to save their soul!

I gave away a tract in Tegucigalpa at a restaurant the beginning of the month, and saw some fruit from it.  A young man named Denis Gomez (my waiter), age 23, sent a letter to my address on the back saying that he trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Saviour after reading it.  I met the young man afterwards and gave him a Bible, and helped to disciple him on how to live a victorious Christian life and put the past behind him and live for God.

We also had a Baptismal Service here the end of August.  We were allowed to use the newly constructed Baptismal at the Iglesia Bautista El Buen Pastor (The Good Shepherd Baptist Church) in downtown La Esperanza.  I baptized three (two from Quebrada de Lajas, and one that I led to the Lord in my neighborhood), while the other Missionary baptized six more.

Thus, August was a very fruitful month, and it was a joy to see God using not only myself, but the other Missionary here as well.

Thank you again for all your continued prayers and support!!!

Because of Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour,
