Welcome! Here you will find all of my prayer letters written ever since I started the ministry as a Missionary to Honduras, and then as I now am as a Missionary to the Spanish-Speaking People of the Americas. We hope to update this with our current prayer letter that we send out every two months.

December 2005

Dear Fellow Labourers and Prayer Warriors,

I’m sending out my December Prayer letter early to keep you abreast of what’s going on here in Honduras, as well as trying to get it to you before the beginning of the new year.

On the 3rd, we started our Youth Meetings again.  Every Saturday at five o’clock the young people (ages 12 and up) come for a time of teaching, games, and refreshments.  I’m teaching on the “Seven Mysteries in the Bible,” one each week.  The kids also compete against each other by gaining points for memorizing scripture, bringing their Bibles, doing their homework, memorizing the Old and New Testament books, inviting visitors and more.  They are really enjoying it, and it’s been a blessing to us in seeing them put forth the effort to memorize their verses.

The 12th through the 14th we took a “road trip” to the small village of Pidaera.  National Missionary Erick Sanchez invited me there to teach to his converts the history and heresy of the Catholic Church.  Most of those saved came out of that false religion and were receiving persecution from it (as almost the entire community there is Catholic).

We drove in my Toyota two hours and then met with pastor Florentino Aguilar, who was waiting for us beside the road with mules.  After parking my truck in a secure location, we then loaded up and journeyed four hours over the mountains!  We also took many bags of food and clothing to help the brethren in Pidaera.

The area is very poor, hot, and dusty.  The people live so far out in the mountains that they don’t have electricity.  They even told me that most of them haven’t seen a “gringo” before.  (They said we were the first white people to ride their mules too!)

From eight-thirty in the morning till four in the afternoon, I showed them verses and read them stories and quotes proving that the Catholic Church offers no salvation, and is nothing but a “business” not interested in souls, but rather in money, power, and control.

When I finished, many of the brethren stood up and thanked me for coming.  One was the pastor’s father, an 87 year-old man who said, “I’ve only recently gotten saved.  Before this no one ever came to tell us the truth.  Once a Catholic priest came years ago and read a few verses, but he wouldn’t let us see, touch, or read his Bible.  Thank you so much for coming and telling us the truth!”   This really moved me.

The 15th, I took a video projector and a small generator and showed a “Christian Film” in the mountains of Quebrada de Lajas where I’m working.  We had over 50 people show up.

Thus, December has been an interesting, moving, and fun month.  I’m also receiving many visitors at my house who come to ask me Bible questions.  Usually, they are Christians who ask me to show them where the Catholic Church is in error according to the Bible.

Thanks again for all your prayers, support, cards, letters, packages, etc.  You’ve been very good to me, and I want you to know I appreciate all of you!

Because of our Great God and Saviour Jesus Christ,
