Welcome! Here you will find all of my prayer letters written ever since I started the ministry as a Missionary to Honduras, and then as I now am as a Missionary to the Spanish-Speaking People of the Americas. We hope to update this with our current prayer letter that we send out every two months.

January - February 2011

That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ... Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ...that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;  And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.                                                                                                                                             (Phil. 1:26-28)

Greetings once again from the Breakers,

You know we live in wild and wacky times, in which people are busy doing things not for God and good, but for spite and evil.  We see it worldwide, as revolutions like wildfire envelope country after country, and even our nation as well.  Yes, chaos and hatred run amuck, and the future looks very bleak indeed.
Yet, through it all, we find ourselves busy in the work of the Lord as we look for his soon return.

Prolonging our Furlough

We announced a few prayer letters back that we were on furlough in order to do remodeling, catch up on some responsibilities, and just get our houses in order.  (It seems like every time we fix one thing, two other things break and need fixing!)  But we’ve hardly had time to do much of that, as the ministry keeps us continually occupied.  So, it looks like we’ll be busy juggling both for awhile.

Preaching

People have asked us where we go to church here in the states.  We’ve been visiting churches around our area, and it’s been awesome for me.  You see, my Dad taught Sunday School in most of the Independent Baptist Churches around here at one time or another.  His favorite topic was teaching on “Dispensations,” and he carried a 25 foot-long Bible chart he used when he taught.  So, most pastors knew my father, and it’s been neat for me to visit with them and hear their old stories about Dad.  They’ve also given me invitations to preach and/or speak about my ministry.  And, we are getting them our books and tracts as well, which they gladly receive, and often times want to get out to their congregations.

Printing Tracts and Booklets

We now have two Laser printers and are continually printing booklets and tracts and trying to keep up with orders from people who want them to distribute to others.  There are many days when Laura and I are stuck in the office printing, collating, and then cutting and binding.  We also print many Spanish tracts, which we enjoy getting out all over.  We also receive calls and emails every day from folks all over asking about the Spanish Bible and where they can obtain it.  Most of our support goes to mailing these things out world-wide.

Passing out Tracts

I’m always careful to carry tracts in my pocket in both English and Spanish, and on those few occasions when I do forget to pass them out, I’ve found that people’s eyes wander to my shirt pocket and they read the title of my tracts. (I purposely print them that way so they can read the title while it’s in my pocket, and many times people ask me for the tract before I can even pull it out!)
I learned the importance of making the title big enough to read years ago, when I went on church visitation, and didn’t have any tracts.  My partner and I picked up the ones the church had available and used those.  As we went door to door, we noticed something strange.  Person after person slammed the door in our faces, and we couldn’t figure out why?  Then we looked at ourselves. The tract was entitled, “SATAN, the God of This World,” and the first word was all they could see poking out of our pockets, looking like a name tag.  No wonder they slammed the door!  Can you imagine opening your door, and seeing two guys with name tags reading: “SATAN” on them?
I learned from that day forward when I print my own tracts to custom fit them for my pocket so that people can read the title.  My tracts, “What can Wash Away YOUR Sins?” and “Who Killed Jesus?” seem to be the most popular, as people continually ask for them as they want to know the answer.

Praising the King James Bible

As most of you know, this is the 400th year anniversary of our blessed King James Bible!  And, I’ve been working with a church in Washington State who believes in heartily celebrating that, as they’ve put together a small museum about the History of our English Bible, as well as printed quality materials on the importance of our KJV.  They are also working on a museum of the Spanish Bible, and I’ve been helping them get a hold of some old Spanish ones.  This has been a fun undertaking, with many hours on the phone even calling Spain on several occasions.
You can look up the church’s website at: www.kjv400thanniversary.com.

Painstakingly Putting books into .PDF

I’ve been scanning my library for years in order to take it with me wherever I go on my laptop, and to make it available to others.  This is a painstaking process, as each book takes sometimes up to 15 hours.  But it’s worth it.  One book I scanned recently is Cipriano de Valera’s tract written in 1588 and entitled, “Of the Pope and the Mass.” (It’s 600 pages long, and took close to 11 hours to scan!). This book was on the list of forbidden books by the Catholic Church, as in it he calls the Pope a “Pimp.”  It also gives good information about the history, corruption, and false teachings of the Catholic Church.  Being “forbidden” very few have ever read it, and I’m hoping to share it with many Spanish-Speakers.   I also recently scanned a lot of other valuable Spanish documents and books which are invaluable to distribute to Hispanics as well.

Preparing Bible Institute Stuff

As you’ll remember, in Honduras, we had a small Bible Institute.  I kept my notes for each class and lately we’ve been getting a lot of requests from Hispanic pastors for my notes so they can start their own Bible Institutes.  So many requests, in fact, that we finally just broke down and bought a copier and have been busy making a lot of copies of my printed notes and mailing them out to these Pastors.  I’m excited to see this information go out and people not only getting a pure Spanish Bible, but sound Bible doctrine as well.

Our Precious Child

Our little Emma turned two in December.  She is so precious.  We recently gave her a small New Testament in English, and she carries it around with her everywhere.  Probably because she’s heard her father say this from the pulpit while preaching, she has begun walking around with it open while saying, “The Bible says…   Her other favorite book is the children’s classic, “No More Monkeys, Jumping on the Bed!”  And she’s recently combined the two.  Like a parrot she repeats time and again, “The Bible says… No more Monkeys, jumping on the Bed!  While that might not be doctrinally correct, it is still cute!

Parking Right Next to a Thief

In February, I went to the supermarket with my grandmother, and we parked right next to a motorcyclist who was frantically trying to start his motorcycle.  When I got out of the truck, he looked at me and froze.  I kindly addressed him with a “Hi, How you doing?  But he didn’t respond.  I thought nothing of it.
Looking back over my shoulder, I told my grandmother I was just going to run in and get something and come right back.  Upon my return, my grandmother told me that the guy couldn’t get the motorcycle started so he left.  And when I looked, I saw another man next to the same bike a few yards away.  I walked up to him and gave him a Gospel tract and then asked, “Excuse me, Sir, is that your bike?  He responded, “Yes it is.  And I can’t understand what happened, as it isn’t parked where I left it!
Slowly, things became clear.  As soon as I pulled up in the parking lot, I parked right next to a guy who was trying to steal the bike.  No wonder he froze and just stared at me!  He was scared to death of being caught!
I thought about it later. What America lacks is that same fear in sinners of being caught in their sins!

President’s Agenda and Pushing Revolution Worldwide

On a solemn note, I wish everything in the world was peaches and cream, but that’s just not the case.  No doubt you’ve seen the news about what happening in the world today.  There are three militant factions amassing like massive, dark clouds, which through revolution seek to take over the world.  These are the: 1. Socialists, 2. Communists, and 3. Muslims.  (All of which America fought wars against in the last seventy years, and all of which are hostile to Christianity and freedom).
Interestingly enough, we have a current President which appears to have ties to all three of these factions.  And his minions through “Community Organizing” are adamant about helping him and his agenda.  I’m enclosing with this prayer letter an email I received from those groups desiring more “community organizing” in America.  (It’s kinda scary, when you know most of these people amassing together are Marxists who hate Christianity!)
What’s the end goal of their “organizing?”  Why a Global New World Order, of course.  And boy are they determined to fight for what they want.
My grandmother said what’s happening in the world and even in America today with all the revolutionaries picketing and rioting reminds her of the atmosphere before World War II.  I guess the “winds of war” are brewing once again.  World War III just might be on the horizon!
And, have you heard of the Muslims and their teaching about the “12th Imam?”  They believe that soon their “Mahdi” (or Messiah) will come and rule, (and are you ready for this?), for:  SEVEN YEARS!  How weird!  They also believe they must take the mark of the beast under his reign, and at the end of the seven years, then Jesus Christ will come back.  They actually believe that!
So, we see through all the turmoil that Biblical prophecy is coming to pass, and even Muslims know the time is short.  Sadly, they’ll receive the anti-Christ with open arms instead of being raptured.

Preparation

I hate to have to mention the sad, negative state of the world today, but there is a reason for my delving into the topic.  It leads to the inevitable question: “Are you ready for what’s coming?”
I never tell people to go out and fight the New World Order, (as some “Christians” do), because that’s a losing battle.  The Bible already prophesied that the anti-Christ will rule.  Instead, I tell them to be prepared.
First, you need to be saved and know it.  (If you don’t have that, you don’t have anything!)
Second, you need to realize bad times are coming.  This can no longer be denied.  What’s going on in this world is getting so bad that everything could change tomorrow, and we could be under martial law, and possibly even taken to concentration camps.  Who knows, they might even start persecutions and many of us might be killed before the rapture.  In WW II we saw Nazi persecution against the Jews.  I believe if another World War starts, we’ll see persecutions against Christians.  Are you ready?
We don’t know when the rapture is exactly.  Personally, I think it’s very soon.  But are you ready for what might happen before the rapture comes?  Do you have enough food and water for months at a time if gas prices go through the roof and grocery prices soar (which many experts agree might soon happen)?
I know most Christians think the rapture will come first and we don’t need worry about any of this.  I hope so.  But it never hurts to be prepared—to be safe, rather than sorry.  The world is about to enter an era of great sorrow, but it can also be a time of great revival as well. What is needed is “Christian Organizing.”  We need more Christians to boldly proclaim the Gospel amidst times of upcoming mass suffering!  Time is short!
My wife and I live every day like it’s our last, desiring to do more for Jesus and enjoying the time we have left before the rapture.  We encourage you to do the same.  Who knows?  This could very well be our last prayer letter.  Then again, maybe not.  But while we have the opportunity, and the freedom to speak out, we will do so.  We are praying for you and know you will do the same for us.

Because of Jesus Christ our Blessed Lord,

            Robert, Laura, and Emma Breaker

EMAIL I RECEIVED ABOUT COMMUNITY ORGANIZING…

Friend --

This summer, Organizing for America will train a new team of summer organizers. The Summer Organizing Fellowship is a grassroots program that aims to put boots on the ground and help foster a new generation of leaders -- not just to help win elections, but to strengthen our democracy in communities across the country.
We're reminded nearly every day of the power of organizing -- of people standing up and speaking out in their communities. And that kind of effective organizing doesn't happen in a vacuum. It takes commitment, time, and hard work to build a movement around a cause.

That's exactly what our team of summer organizers will do.

They will be trained in the basic principles that have always built and powered effective grassroots movements, and will be assigned to a specific community where they'll work to organize supporters street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood. They'll recruit volunteers, run events, knock on doors, and do what it takes to support the President's agenda. And, in the end, their work will take our grassroots power to an impressive new level.

Apply now to be a summer organizer, or pass this email along to anyone else you know who might be interested.

Folks who trained in programs like this one have gained important skills that have since helped them in careers with OFA and beyond. And they had a good time doing it.

Becca Siegel, a student at Stanford University, spent the past two summers organizing in Colorado -- and she loved it. "Working as a summer organizer certainly taught me a diverse set of skills in a fast-paced environment. Each day brought new opportunities and challenges: a meeting with a local activist followed by voter registration at an outdoor concert, or a conference call with other organizers from around the country followed by volunteering at a community health clinic."

When she graduates from college later this year, Becca will take the skills she learned at OFA to a new job in South Africa.

You don't have to be a student, like Becca, or a recent graduate to be a summer organizer. Nikki Giancola, now a regional field director for OFA Illinois, was a middle school teacher for four years before becoming a summer organizer. "I will never forget the day the Affordable Care Act passed," she says. "It was a feeling like no other -- I had played a part in helping millions of people, and the summer organizer program gave me the chance to do so."

Summer organizer Paras Patel had a similarly unforgettable experience -- meeting President Obama at an event in Detroit. "He shook my hand and told me that he was proud of me and appreciated the work I was doing. I didn't know what to expect when I started at OFA, but meeting the President was definitely a surprise and something I will never forget!"
Successful movements have always been built and grown by ordinary people who take responsibility for organizing their fellow citizens to make their voices heard. We're looking for folks who are ready to work hard to support the President's agenda and lay new groundwork to carry this movement forward for years to come.
