Welcome! Here you will find all of my prayer letters written ever since I started the ministry as a Missionary to Honduras, and then as I now am as a Missionary to the Spanish-Speaking People of the Americas. We hope to update this with our current prayer letter that we send out every two months.

May - June 2013

For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. This is
a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. (1 Tim. 4:7-10)

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus our most wonderful Lord,

Greetings again from the Breakers. May and June have been busy months, and went by so fast it’s hard to believe they are already over. God was good and allowed us some much needed fellowship.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS
We were blessed to have my cousin from Texas visit us in May for a few days. Then, my Mom from Oklahoma visited later for a few weeks. They kept us busy doing things every day, and it was a blessing to spend time with them, but also a little tiring. Yet, it’s always a great “pick me up” when family visits. I only wish they lived closer!
We also had many visits from old friends that we haven’t seen in years. It was strange how many people just called us up out of the blue and wanted to come visit. We enjoyed their company immensely!
In June, our Pastor, Raul Reyes, from Mexico came and spent five days with us. What a blessing to have a Pastor who cares enough about you to spend time with you! While here, we spent many hours reading and re-reading the Valera 1602 Purified Spanish Bible, and discussing various places that may need further revision. They are still working on making sure that version reads correctly and we are in the process of reading and rereading it over and over. Please pray for them and the work. The 1602 P, even in it’s current state, is still the best whole Spanish Bible available today!

FROM FAR AWAY
Even though we are in the United states, we still get many phone calls from people all over the Spanish-speaking world. Some are pastors and missionaries, while others are friends or fellow Christians. One call in June came from a native Honduran pastor who had some Bible questions. So even though we aren’t in Honduras anymore, we still find we are able to have an influence there and help the works we’ve started, and even help train local pastors. Please pray for them.

FEEDBACK
I get emails all the time from people asking about the Spanish Bible, salvation, rightly dividing, and many other Bible topics. Often I get some great emails from people who are very grateful for my website and my stand for the truth of salvation (i.e. salvation by faith in the BLOOD of JESUS CHRIST, rather than by faith in one’s own works). This prayer letter, I thought I’d include an example of one of the many emails I get. You can read it at the end of this letter.

FATIGUE
Things fall apart” is the title of a book I read not too long ago by the Nigerian author Chinua Achebe. The title says it all, things do indeed: “fall apart.” So, in June I had to do some work on our house, trying to bring it up to par, because it’s falling apart. I’m replacing rotten wood siding, and painting the whole house. This is a project I put off for quite some time, but now I find I have some time to do it. I also learned some interesting lessons while working. Think of a house as a person. Many people are only concerned with their outside and how they look to others, while their inside is filthy and full of corruption. Yet others are more concerned with the inside and keeping it clean, while letting the outside go, and not fixing it up. Which are you? My desire is to make sure both the inside and outside look good.
When we are saved, Jesus cleans our inside, when he washes our soul in his precious blood. We then, need to clean up the outside as well, to be a good example to others. Yet some Christians desire to be dirty still both inside and out.
Anyway, I’ve been so tired lately with all the physical labour of fixing up this house. It’s a much bigger job than I thought. And that’s another lesson I learned: it takes W-O-R-K sometimes to get things where they need to be, just like it takes work for us to live a spiritual life. I know God’s still working on me, and I’m active working as I try to please him. But I can honestly say it’s worth it! It’s great to look back on what you once were and what you are now and see how God worked on you, just like it’s nice to look at how this old house once looked and how nice it’s starting to become. To some w-o-r-k is a four letter word. But to others, like me, it’s truly a blessing, as it produces fruit. And how sweet it is!

FURTHERING THE GOSPEL
We are still printing and passing out tracts in both English and Spanish. We find that Hispanic people in our area are mostly found in flea markets and the downtown areas, so we go there from time to time to pass out tracts and talk with them. I also love to sample their homemade tacos at times. (How carnal of me!) Also, we find Hispanic people are always going to garage sales as well, so we go early on Saturday mornings and you would be surprised how many Spanish tracts we are able to pass out in just a few hours as we go from house to house.
I also make it a point to try to speak to English speakers about the Gospel. Sadly, few today care to hear. But I’m finding that the most open ones are down-home country folk. There is a great difference between city people and country people. And in these last days, it seems like a lot of city folk just don’t care about God and the Bible. Yet, many country people still have some semblance of a belief in God, and have heard the gospel at least once from their parents or grandparents. So at least the seed has been planted, and it’s great to often hear from people we give tracts to saying things like, “Oh, thanks, I truly need this!” or “Oh, yeah, I heard about this when I was younger.
Still there is much confusion. Where we live, most people are Southern Baptist or Charismatic. And often they are religious but lost. These people are hard to deal with because they have been brainwashed by another gospel. They believe in works for salvation, and it’s hard to change the minds of people like this who have over several generations become accustomed to following tradition rather the truths of the scriptures. But we try and we trust God to open their eyes. The before-mentioned email I give at the end of this prayer letter delves into a little of those “traditions” and shows the testimony of a person who has seen the truth and gotten saved in spite of religious denomination’s preaching something other than the true Gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

FUN
I am a King James Bible believer. I love the KJV. So a few months ago, I decided I’d just go verse by verse from the King James and translate it into Spanish. I also made sure to look at all the Reina-Valera versions as I did so, in order to see what words were used in those versions, hoping to retain the oldest Reina-Valera words, but making sure it truly read with the King James. It has been a real blessing to me to do this. As of now, I’ve finished the books of: Genesis, John, Romans, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, and Jude. I’m also a third of the way through Proverbs as well, and I’ve got a Missionary friend in Spain who is helping me proofread my work.
I’ll continue on translating the rest of the books of the Bible. I don’t know if this will ever catch on or be accepted by my fellow King James Bible Christians. But it has been a real blessing for me, and I can’t describe how joyful and comforting it is to have the words of my English infallible version in Spanish, and be able to read them and see the Spanish saying what my King James does! Please pray for this endeavor. People have said for years that you “can’t translate the King James into Spanish,” but that’s a load of hooey! You can! It’s been done in over 600 other languages. So why not Spanish?

FACING THE FUTURE
As most of you know, we are taking care of my 92 year old grandmother. God gave us our family for a reason, and we count it an honor to take care of her, especially when she’s done so much for us throughout our lifetime.
Yet, as we care for her, we are unable to travel like before, and therefore have to do most of our ministry from home and in our area. We are doing the best we can, and are grateful that in our limited capacity God is still using us.
My grandmother is doing well, but is slowly losing her sight and hearing. She’s also losing weight. But she is in great health otherwise. She might even live to be 100!
Thinking on this has made me concerned about the future and what it holds for us. I greatly desire to travel and preach, but in the meantime we are keeping busy for the Lord where we are. I honestly don’t know what the future will bring. But I know I should never give up on God, nor should I quit serving him. Maybe this is all so that I can have time to translate the KJV into Spanish! Who knows. All I know to do is to continue serving God anyway I can, anywhere I can, anytime I can. Please pray for us!
Because of Christ Jesus our Lord,
Robert Breaker

Email from a lady who shares her testimony with me:
I am so very grateful that I found this [web] page of yours. I would love to talk to you, to tell you about my experience and what happened to me, it is pretty much similar to yours and your wife’s story. I questioned my salvation for over ten years. The first time anyone ever told me in my life about Jesus Christ was when I was 28. I thought I got saved at 28, but I was counting on “did I say the prayer right,” [and] “did I have enough faith?” I was putting myself into it....I bet I asked Jesus to save me ten thousand times...
My name is Barb. I started doing my own study and asking people at my church and other churches, I would just call them up. You have no idea how upsetting this was to me. I did my own research, almost every church says there are these STEPS to salvation, over sixty percent say you have to be willing to stop sinning, over forty percent say you have to admit, turn, believe, and receive. I had a pastor tell me that believing is not enough, you must ASK to receive. Some churches judge you on if you are saved based on your Christian life... They have these clever poems that are not found anywhere in the Bible.
[Like if he’s not “Lord of all, he’s not Lord at all”, etc.]
I, like your wife got hung up on those chick tracts... They cause confusion; most of those get you thinking that you have something to do with your salvation. I am telling you I struggled with this for many, many, many years... Through my studies I found out two things, most churches are Lordship salvation churches and some do not even know it. You cannot add anything to salvation, nothing at all...
Today, here is where I am, I know that when I die, I do not have a single thing to offer God of my own, I am a sinner and I am in trouble on my own. However, finally, I know that I am a saved child of God. It is ALL ABOUT THE BLOOD OF CHRIST, there is no other way. I know that Jesus died for me on the cross, was buried, and rose again. He died for us, all of us, all of the world. There are so many verses that say believe on Jesus. I finally get it....YEAH! IT IS FAITH ALONE IN CHRIST BLOOD ATONEMENT ALONE!
I was so confused for over ten years, especially when you go to church and hear the preachers constantly saying a different gospel or saying little clever sayings like "if" you are really saved then you will act this way, wear this, do this, and so on. I have learned the hard way, people probably think I am crazy, many get upset with me, but Paul said he was afraid this would happen.
It is simple to be saved, but the gospel has been tainted in many ways....thank you ever so much because you are absolutely correct. Just to let you know, my daughter is 14, last night before I found your page, I had to show her about relying on the prayer, you can ask people how do you know you are saved, they always say, “I said a prayer and asked Jesus in my heart!”
[But] I took her through Eph 2:8-9 and showed her the jailor in the prison, the thief on the cross, I have to keep going over things until she understands because unfortunately, she has heard all of what I have. Please pray for us! My husband is saved as well, he is the one who helped me understand better.

THE GOSPEL FROM FIRST CORINTHIANS CHAPTER FIFTEEN:

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you THE GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS according to the scriptures;
4 And that HE WAS BURIED, and that HE ROSE AGAIN the third day according to the scriptures:

I just wanted to add something extra that my wife pointed out to me not to long ago as we read the scriptures together. It’s just too good to not mention it with this prayer letter. So here goes…
Notice in the passage above we read of the Gospel. But it’s not just that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and that he rose again. Look at the underlined word “how.” What an important word! It wasn’t just that Christ Jesus did those things, it’s HOW he did them! How did he die for our sins? He SHED HIS BLOOD! HOW was he buried? He was buried in the same ground that his blood ran down into, entombed by his own disciples. HOW did he rise again? By his own power, proving that he was indeed God manifest in the flesh! HOW did he do all this? According to the Scriptures. That is, he fulfilled ALL of the prophecies written of him in the Old Testament.
The gospel, then, is more than just WHAT Jesus did for us, it’s also HOW he did it! The easy answer is: by his own power and through his own blood! That’s just another reason I’m not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the POWER of God unto salvation… (Rom. 1:16). God bless and remember the “how” when you preach the gospel to others.

March - April 2013

EXAMINE YOURSELVES, whether ye be in the faith; PROVE YOUR OWN SELVES. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? (2 Cor. 13:5)
Greetings from the Breakers,

The above verse tells us to “examine ourselves.” So I’ve been taking a good long look at myself lately. I’ve also been thinking about what we as Christians should be busy doing for the Lord. I’ve also found there are many who focus on one thing in particular, rather than seeking a well-rounded Christian approach to the lost and dying world. That’s why this prayer letter is going to be a little bit different. I’m going to ask you, the reader, a question.
The question is: Which one are you? ...

… A PUTTER DOWNER?
There are a lot of Christians out there who think their “God called ministry” is to constantly attack others and put them down, or in their own mode of thinking: “put them in their place.” Their entire ministry consists of name-calling, ridiculing, and labeling others who don’t agree entirely with them, and by so doing they feel good about themselves. But where in the Bible do we find such a “calling?” It’s simply not there. And it often turns others off to the truth. The lost get turned off entirely to the Gospel when they see such an attitude. And those that are saved, often get discouraged by seeing such a great lack of Christian charity and brotherly love from such people. A long time ago I decided that this would not be a part of my ministry or something that I would be active in doing. I want to live right, preach right, and do right, but I want to be sure I’m doing it with the right attitude. How about you?

… A PRINTER OF LITERATURE?
I believe that printing good Gospel literature and sound doctrinal material is a very important part of Christianity. Since the very beginning of the Church, people have been WRITING epistles, letters, books, apologetics, etc. And there works have been helpful to other Christians. Now, mind you, the most important thing to read is the Bible itself! But it’s always been a blessing in my Christian life to stumble upon a good Christian book here and there, and I can name quite a few that have helped me tremendously, (like Clarence Larkin’s “Dispensational Truth.”)
That is why I’ve also written some booklets, tracts, pamphlets, etc., in a hopes to be a blessing to others. I would also encourage you to do the same.
(I’m enclosing with this letter my newest tract “Have you Taken the Free Gift?”)

… A PASSER OUTER OF TRACTS?
Christian Gospel pamphlets and tracts have been around for many years. And many Christians feel it’s important to distribute the Gospel message to the masses in this fashion. I desire to do so as well, and that’s why I print my own tracts and hand them out. Yet, I’ve found many of today’s Gospel tracts printed by others don’t always give the Gospel (of 1 Cor. 15:1-4) in it’s entirety or sometimes even omit it completely. Rather, they divert the reader’s attention from Jesus and what he DID for them, and instead instruct the reader to DO something in an attempt to come to God. This is atrocious! The Apostle Paul said that he wanted to know Christ, and him crucified! That’s what we should point Sinners to.
Some Christians, however, think that passing out tracts is all they need to do to make God happy. So, they do this and nothing else. I too have fallen into this thinking at times, thinking if I just give people a tract then I’ve done my duty and can be on my way. But sometimes we need to be active in doing more than just giving a piece of paper to others.

... A PRESENTATION TO OTHERS
Some people think, “Well, I’m a Christian, I’m just going to witness by my lifestyle.” They use this in place of passing out tracts, and speaking to others. This then becomes their only means of witness, and rather than take the effort to speak to others, they hope that by their own immaculate testimony, others will line up at their door wanting to talk to them.
Clearly, there is nothing wrong with being a Christian and living a Christian lifestyle. And we should hope that our testimony is so spotless that even lost people will see Christ in us. But if this is the only way someone witnesses, then they are missing out on being used of God. There is more to Christianity than just living it outwardly for others to see. If you’ll remember, that’s what the Pharisees did, and they weren’t even saved! They wanted people to see their outward mannerisms, but inwardly they were wicked and sinful exceedingly. So just trying to show others Jesus in you isn’t enough. There has to be more to it than that!

… A PREACHER TO PEOPLE?
The Bible says that God chose “the foolishness of preaching” to save the lost. We are told in Rom. 10:17 that “faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” That is, someone must open their mouth and SPEAK to others and show them the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It’s a personal one-on-one thing, and it’s something that many Christians are afraid to do. Some would rather just put down others and name call. Others would rather just print gospel literature, and hope someone else will reach the lost with their material. Still others hope a piece of paper (a Gospel Tract) will do all their talking for them, as they pass out tracts in mass and go on their way. While others delight in holy silence and hope that the living Christ will shine forth from them so brightly that they won’t ever have to witness vocally, and people will just get saved by their example or living testimony.
But there is simply no substitute for an open mouth and a clear Gospel witness of Jesus Christ. I write this here in my prayer letter not to put anyone down or to guilt-trip others into witnessing more to others. If anything, it is a confession on my part, for I usually find I’m so busy in doing the other things, that I often justify myself and my not speaking to others as much as I should about Christ and his Gospel.
It’s easy to name-call. It’s fun to print literature. It’s a blast passing out tracts. It’s joyous to live a Christian life and be a good testimony. But often I find it’s not always that fun to open your mouth to talk to people. I understand Moses’ fear of speaking more and more, especially in these last days, for opening your mouth and talking to people, especially people like those today who HATE God, isn’t always a rewarding experience. Often they will curse at you, or make fun of you, or even threaten you. And you quite often feel stupid speaking to them, often thinking things like: “What is this person going to think about me if I witness to him?” or “What’s going to be this person’s excuse for not wanting to get saved?
But, as fearful as it may be, that’s what we need to do. My Daddy used to say, “There is simply no substitute for clear and effective communication.” I’d like to change that up a little bit by saying: “There is simply no substitute for a clear and effective vocal witness of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ!
I’m trying to learn to be more outgoing and more vocal for my Saviour. I ask you to pray for me. I do print Gospel literature, pass out tracts, live like I should, etc. But when it comes to opening my mouth, sometimes I find that’s hard to do. I want to speak to more people, and stop being so bashful. I’m tired of justifying the other things I do for Jesus as “enough.” I want to do more. How about you?
Because of Christ Jesus our Great and Awesome Lord and Saviour,
Robert Breaker
1 Sam. 12:24!

P.S. Please pray for all the tracts we have passed out these last two months, the people we have talked to about salvation, and the printed literature we have been blessed to distribute. Our prayer is that God will continue to use you, and we ask you to pray the same for us.
P.S.S. After having written this, my grandmother wanted me to add something else she found quite jovial. So I’ll add it in right here. We pray for our food at the table, and Emma is now four and old enough to pray for the meal. Often she prays for all her cousins by name while giving thanks for the food. But the other day she had breakfast alone at the table with my grandmother, and she forgot to pray beforehand. My grandmother said, “But Emma, you didn’t pray for your meal!” To which Emma quickly retorted: “Oh, well, that’s okay. It’s just cereal, and we don’t pray for cereal!”

COMING TO GOD FOR SALVATION APART FROM THE GOSPEL?

I’ve run into a lot of people lately who are all saying the same thing, and they all claim to be Christians. They say that a person doesn’t need to know anything at all about the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be saved. They claim that a Sinner can just come to Jesus and beg him for forgiveness, and he’ll save that Sinner apart from his hearing and understanding the Gospel. But is this the case? Or is this a very anti-biblical teaching?
According to the Bible, there is something a person must know before they can be converted (saved). Below I’ll give a short list of verses that show this, because according to the Scriptures, and they are very clear about this, a person must first HEAR and then UNDERSTAND before they can be saved. I encourage you to look up the verses for yourself.

Matthew 13:15 Jesus says a person must HEAR and UNDERSTAND before they can be converted!
Acts 28:24-28 vs 24 they believed the things spoken (they heard) and vs26-27 they must hear and understand
vs 28 gentiles will HEAR it.
Acts 10:43-44 vs 43 Peter said “believe” vs 44 The H.G. came on them after they heard, understood, and BELIEVED!
Acts 15:7 Peters says Gentiles must HEAR and then BELIEVE. (Hearing comes first!)
Ephesians 1:13 in whom ye TRUSTED AFTER that ye HEARD. Heard what? The GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION.
Eph. 4:17-21 Lost have their understanding darkened, they are blind (vs 18) They have not LEARNED (vs 20) Christ.
Rom. 10:13,14 vs 14 says you have to first HEAR before you can believe.
Rom. 10:17 says faith cometh by HEARING (How can you believe in something you have never heard)?
John 8:43 Jesus talks to the Pharisees and says “Why do ye not UNDERSTAND my speech?”
He then says it’s because they cannot “HEAR” his word.
Matt. 15:8 Jesus says people draw night to him with their LIPS, but their HEART is far from him.

This is why I NEVER tell a lost person, “Just ask Jesus into your heart” or “Beg God to forgive you.” Rather I take them to 1 Cor. 15:1-4 and other verses and instruct them to look at what Jesus DID for them, and TRUST HIS FINISHED WORK (i.e. his shed blood on Calvary) as sufficient to save them. It’s all what JESUS has DONE, and not what we DO that saves us! Today, we can’t come to Jesus any other way than by his blood sacrifice for us on our behalf. Why then, are there so many others, who claim to be Christians, who are instructing lost people to do just that? It’s like they are in the wrong dispensation, and they are trying to get people to come to Jesus the way people came to Jesus BEFORE the cross, and not the way the Bible tells us to be saved AFTER the cross.
Thinking on this, I reread the Gospels and Paul’s epistles, and I found some interesting things. Did you know that when Jesus came, he came only to the lost Sheep of Israel (Mt. 15:24)? And do you know what he preached to them? He preached that they had to believe he was their Messiah. That is, he told them they had to believe WHO he was.
Some say Jesus preached the same Gospel as we do today, but he did not. He could not. For the Gospel today is his death, burial, and resurrection. How could he preach that if he hadn’t died, been buried, or resurrected yet? (Granted he did allude to the fact in his earthly ministry that it would happen in the future, but he told no one to trust IT, rather to trust in HIM and who he was).
We find the Gospel for us today being preached by Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles (Rom. 11:13). It is not WHO Jesus is, but WHAT Jesus did for us! That’s the difference! Both point to Jesus. But only one is what gives us salvation today! What are you trusting in to save you? Is it in Jesus and WHO he is, or is it in Jesus and WHAT he did for you?
This is an important distinction, for many today claim to “follow Jesus.” That is, they follow the man himself, but they don’t trust what he did for them. They love the beatitudes, and they love the message of “loving one another” but they don’t accept Jesus as their own personal Saviour by faith in his finished work at Calvary.
Years ago, we had the “Jesus freaks” wandering throughout our land, who were nothing but a bunch of long-haired hippies following Jesus. They tried to do what he said, but they were following the MAN, while they rejected what HE AS GOD DID for them on the cross. I mention this as today there are some that say all you need to do to be saved is just come to Jesus and if you seek him, he’ll save you if you just ask him, or beg him, or plead with him enough. But this leaves out entirely WHAT Jesus did for the Sinner. This is seeking JESUS for WHO he is, and not coming to him through WHAT he did for us.
Are such people, therefore, lost? You have to decide that for yourself. Certainly the “Jesus freaks” were, as they tried to make salvation through following the physical teachings of Jesus, rather than by obtaining the spiritual salvation of the soul by FAITH in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
When dealing with people, I try to help them see the difference, as I’m even more determined than ever to point people to Christ Crucified on the Cross of Calvary! It’s all about WHAT he did for us. We are saved by hearing, understanding, and then believing the Gospel. We are not saved apart from it, no matter how many people might say otherwise!

Notice the chart above. When Jesus preached, he stressed WHO he was, to those to whom he came: THE JEWS. He pointed to the fact that he was their promised MESSIAH, the CHRIST, or the ANOINTED ONE. But when the Jews rejected Jesus Christ, then salvation was taken to the Gentiles, and we see God using the Apostle Paul to preach the Gospel (found in 1 Cor. 15:1-4) to them. The emphasis of the Gospel today is not WHO Jesus is, rather HOW Jesus died, was buried, and rose again. It is all about WHAT Jesus did for us for our sins!
Why then would people want to tell lost souls that they can be saved apart from what Jesus did for them on the cross, and instruct them to go to Jesus another way? Why do they teach repeating a formal prayer, begging for forgiveness, asking for salvation, church attendance, baptism, good works, etc., as their plan of salvation? For clearly, all these try to come to Jesus APART from his finished work on the cross!

January - February 2013

For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body...            (Phil 3:20-21)

Greetings once again from the Breakers,

I can’t believe it’s already a brand new year! And boy has it started off on an ominous note with headlines like: “Meteors whizzing closely by the earth,” “Record Snowstorms,” “Locusts in Egypt,” “Looming global economic collapse,” “New Pope to be elected and he could be the anti-christ” and more. Could it be the Lord is coming back this year? I sure hope so. But until then we are busy occupying until He comes.

PRESENTATION OF CREATION VS EVOLUTION

Most of you know I’ve been working with Creation Science Evangelism in Pensacola, Florida in trying to finish their Spanish teaching sessions which we recorded in Honduras way back in 2005. I’m happy to report that these last two months I’ve finally finished the last of it with DVDs # 6 and #7. I also finished translating the Spanish workbook that goes along with that presentation for people to fill out as they watch. It was a lot of work rechecking slides, writing questions in Spanish, and making a workbook on my computer. But now it’s finally done, and I’m looking forward to seeing it go out to the Spanish-Speaking world! Please pray it will be greatly used by the Lord! There are many people who want it, and have been waiting patiently for it. Evolution truly is a great enemy of the Gospel, and it’s wonderful to have something like this available to the Spanish-Speaking people so they might see through that satanic teaching, and come to Jesus for salvation.

PRINTING TRACTS

Of course our small printing press has been going well, and we’ve been busy printing tracts in both English and Spanish. We’ve had some people order some of our tracts and distribute them, but mostly we print them ourselves and pass them out wherever we go. My latest tract is entitled, “The Gospel in the Acronym of C.O.B.R.A.” I’m enclosing it with this prayer letter for you to read. I hope it might be a blessing. If you desire more, please let me know.

PERSONS FROM THE PAST

I can’t tell you how many people I’ve met these last two months from my past. Some called me on the phone, others just showed up at the house to visit with me, while others I just happened to see in town. It’s been a real blessing to see these folks. I also had an opportunity to witness to some people I’ve known over the years but haven’t talked to in a long while. Please pray for these folks and their salvation. Jesus said “A prophet is not without honor, but in his own country.”

SOME PEOPLE I’VE MET LATELY

As we witness, we meet some very strange people. What’s stranger is that many of them claim to be Christians, while the things they SAY or DO would make one think otherwise. For example, not too long ago we met a lady who used to be a Church Secretary for many years, but her Pastor recently died. Because of this, she got a tattoo on her wrist of a heart with the date of the death of her Pastor inscribed inside. My wife and I looked at each other in wonder. Later Laura reminded me of the verse in Leviticus 19:28, which states: “Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh FOR THE DEAD, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord.” I know this is in the Old Testament, and we are under grace, but still. Should a Christian get a tattoo, especially when they do it FOR THE DEAD?
We are seeing more and more things like this. Recently, I received an introduction email from someone who claims to be a Christian who is in a rock ‘n roll band, claiming he was “playing rock music for Jesus.” (Oh, did I forget to mention he said he was an “Independent Baptist?” Yep. He sure did!) He had long hair and all, and really thought he was fulfilling his God-called ministry. (I guess he took that verse “I become all things for all men” a little too literally!)
Now, I don’t want to be Phariseeical or judgmental, but there are things we are seeing in Churches today that are simply atrocious. Shouldn’t Christians be a “peculiar” people, separate from the world, and trying to be a testimony of Christ, and a witness of Him? Why then does it seem so many who claim the name of Jesus seem so worldly today?

PROCLAIMING THE MESSAGE OF PAUL

When I was in Bible School, I was taught that the heart of New Testament doctrine was the Pauline Epistles. And, since he was the “apostle to the Gentiles” (Rom. 11:13), we were to follow him, his preaching, and his message. This was called “Rightly Dividing the word of Truth” (2 Tim. 2:15). Thinking on this, I’ve been studying Paul a lot more lately, and I found something a little surprising, as I now see Paul as he really was, called of God to show others the right way. You see, Jesus came first, and he came to the Jews (Matt. 15:24). When he died, he chose his disciples to preach his message, and they did. But the Jews rejected it too, and so God turned towards Paul, using him to take the Gospel message to the Gentiles.
(Note: Paul preached to Jews too! The book of Acts proves this. But God said that he was to be the apostle of the Gentiles, and eventually, he went only to the Gentiles with the message of the Gospel).
After God saved Paul, he revealed to him some things, and these things Paul had to go to the disciples of Christ and explain. Peter even said that some of the things Paul spoke about were “hard to be understood” (2 Peter 3:16). So, Paul was sent by God and used of God to straighten out the brethren, and get them preaching the RIGHT thing, to the RIGHT people, rather than something preached only to the Jews
. (Note: What Peter preached in Acts 2:38 is NOT the Gospel. We today are not saved by water baptism.)
With this stated, Paul’s preaching is something that we in the Church age today desperately need to follow. Especially since we are in a time of apostasy, in which many who claim to be Christians have “fallen away” from the great truths of Scripture. Thus, we are not only supposed to go to the lost and witness to them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ (which we should always be busy doing), but we also are supposed to try to reach those who claim to be Christians who are mixed up in their doctrines and try to help them come to a better understanding of the Scriptures. In other words, we are supposed to point people to the right doctrine and reprove them when they preach things contrary to word of God. This is not an easy job, especially when many people don’t want to hear that they are wrong.
(Even harder still we don’t want to be viewed by others as “holier than thou” or an “I told you so” or “I’m right, you’re wrong” type of person).
To point out a person’s false beliefs and/or teachings and refer them to the scripture does not make many friends. And if you remember, Paul didn’t have too many friends himself! In fact, in one verse, he said that he once answered a question, and then his other brothers in Christ “ALL forsook him” (2 Tim. 4:16). Why? Because he spoke the truth no matter the cost, not trying to please men, but rather to please God. He cared about TRUTH above all else! And would not compromise no matter what for anyone! (Would to God we had more men like this today!!!)
Thinking on this, I want to be more like Paul. But I also want to have the right balance. I don’t want to ever get to the point where I come across as a “know it all.” However, there are important doctrines of the faith that should be defended, and if someone preaches something else, then like Paul, we should point that out, and then show why it’s wrong according to the scriptures.
There are things in our day that are absolute Gospel truth that are now being downplayed, omitted, or even preached against by many so-called Modern ministers. And if Paul were here, I know what he’d do! He would not stand for it! Rather, he would show them the scriptures and tell them they are wrong!
This isn’t always fun, but it needs to be done. Especially when you think about how many people today are deceived. If we really cared about them, then we should try to reach them with the truth! But we need to do it with the right attitude. It’s easy to tell people they are wrong. But it’s harder to tell them why and to teach them with a humble and meek spirit, showing that you truly care about them and want them to come to the truth. This compassion is the key to reaching others.
Sadly, there are many today who think they are right and everyone else is wrong, and this leads to them having a “haughty” attitude. And it shows forth. Paul knew how to tell such people the truth and was always ready to give SCRIPTURE and not his own opinion. For only the word of God is truth, and it is our final and absolute authority.
Paul wasn’t interested in following men, or compromising to get along with others. His basis of fellowship was the Gospel, and preaching the truth of the Scriptures, even if it cost him fellowship, financial offerings, and even his own life. What a man!
Are you a Paul? Are you preaching the truth no matter what the cost? Are you pointing lost people to Christ Crucified? Are you then trying to show others who claim to be Christians with false doctrines the error of their ways and pointing them to the truth of the scripture?

Because of Christ Jesus our Great Lord and Saviour,

A LITTLE MORE ABOUT THE APOSTLE PAUL
It’s amazing to me to see so many minsters today avoiding the Apostle Paul and his epistles, instead running to the Gospels, Acts, James, and many other books to try to find their gospel, and even at times trying to find their salvation message. Could it be they just don’t know how to “rightly divide” the word of Truth?
The Bible is very clear that we are in the dispensation of the Church Age (see figure below)

It’s further clear that Paul is our Apostle according to Romans 11:13, and he said three times that we are supposed to follow him. The references for this are found in:

1 Cor. 4:16
1 Cor. 11:1
Philippians 3:17

Paul further said in 2 Thes. 3:9, that he made himself our example to follow. So we are to follow Paul, and by so doing, we are following Jesus.
Paul speaks of the Gospel three times in saying “my gospel.” The references are found in:
Rom. 2:16
Rom. 16:25
2 Tim. 2:8
What is Paul’s Gospel? It is THE GOSPEL he mentions in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4! This is what we are supposed to preach today! Salvation by Christ Jesus’ DEATH, BURIAL, and RESURRECTION, according to the Scriptures.

Why then do many who call themselves Christians preach something else? Today it’s common to hear that salvation is by: water baptism, church attendance, repeating a vain prayer, doing good works, following the beatitudes, etc. But where is the Gospel in these? Someone is not “rightly dividing” the word of God, and understanding where our doctrine for today comes from. It’s from the Pauline Epistles, which teach us that salvation is by GRACE through FAITH in the finished work (i.e. Shed BLOOD) of Jesus Christ! It is NOT of works lest any man should boast. We are saved by what JESUS did, not what WE do to try to justify ourselves to God. Many claim to know this simple truth, but often they omit Paul and his epistles. Why?
Paul himself warned us of such a time, and I believe we are now living in that day. In 2 Tim. 4:2 he writes:

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Let’s get back to living like, preaching like, and following the Apostle Paul. For his example to us is a great example of what a true Christian is, what he should believe, what he should preach and how he should act!

November - December 2012

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.  (2 Timothy 3:1-5)

Greetings once again from the Breakers,

Happy New Year! It’s hard to believe it’s already 2013. Of all the years for the Lord to come back, this would be a great one, especially since it has the number “13” in it! (That being, of course, the number of Nimrod, and the number of Rebellion). And, if the rapture were this year, then seven years of tribulation would put the Second Advent at the year 2020. How interesting, for we say a person with 20/20 vision has perfect eye sight. And, the Scriptures do say that “every eye shall see him” when Jesus returns at Armageddon! It just might be wishful thinking on my part, but I do hope this is the year of our Lord’s return!

WATCHING

One thing is for sure, we certainly are in the last days. And we are seeing the things mentioned in the above verses, and they grow worse at a much faster rate than ever before. Not only are there problems world-wide, but we are seeing things happen in our country as well that are most troubling. Many of my friends, family, cohorts, and fellow ministers, believe that we just might see martial law in the United States in the next few years, (if not sooner, like the next few months), and they are actively preparing for that. (Go to: www.infowars.com for more about what’s happening and why they think that way). I used to believe it was silly to prepare, thinking the rapture surely must come first, so why should I care? But a while back I thought, “Hmmm. Maybe stocking up on food, batteries, medicine, supplies, etc., isn’t a bad idea. For if the rapture does come, then those things will be left here for those in the tribulation, and they just might need them to live on, so they don’t take the mark of the beast!”
So I highly recommend preparing for something, even if you don’t ever use it. It’s always better to be safe than sorry!

WITNESSING

Some Christians frown upon talking about the evil in the world and the emerging New World Order, thinking that people who speak about it are preachers of doom and gloom and are interested only in the Physical, rather than focusing on the Spiritual. But we try to have a balance, warning others of the wrath to come, while trying to give them the good news of the Gospel. My wife and I have thought for some time, that the only way to truly win against Satan’s New World Order is to be saved yourself and to win people to Jesus, for that will be one less soul the antichrist will reign over in the tribulation! That’s why we don’t tell people, like some Preachers, “Fight the New World Order!” Rather, we encourage people to preach the Gospel and pray for Christ’s soon return.
These last two months God gave me some great opportunities to witness to friends and family over the holiday season. I also love this time of year for witnessing to those bell ringers from the Salvation Army. I ask them, “Oh, you’re with the Salvation Army! Great! Can you tell me how to get saved?” They usually are caught off guard, as most of them aren’t even saved themselves. This gives a great opportunity to give them the Gospel.
Laura and I have also been printing more tracts and passing them out in public places. We are also much more vocal for Christ, feeling these are indeed the last days. I love it when people ask, “How are you?” I almost always respond, “Better than I deserve!” Most people don’t understand this, and some even ask me how I could say such a thing. This opens the conversation and allows me to respond: “I’m a Sinner saved by grace, and I’m on my way to heaven! So I’m better than I deserve because I truly deserve Hell. Yet, I’m not going there and it’s all because of what Jesus Christ did for me!” Some people want to hear more. Others walk away before I even finish my sentence. I’ve even had religious people tell me, “Don’t you dare say that! You’re a good person. You don’t deserve anything bad to happen to you!” It’s hard to argue with the self-righteous, but it does give you some insight into what they believe and why. They are trusting in their works just like the Pharisees of old. As the verse above states, they have a “form” of godliness, but deny the power thereof.

WORKING ON THE SPANISH BIBLE

Our home church in Monterrey is still working on the whole 1602 Purified Spanish Bible, reading and rereading it hoping to print it soon. I’ve helped a lot with this project. But while doing so, I started thinking, “I sure wish it read closer to the KJV.” So, I decided to translate directly from the King James word for word myself. And, I’ve been very busy with this, finishing the book of Genesis in December. I am now working on John, and plan to do Romans next. Then I’ll do the entire New Testament, and then the Old. I’m also checking and rechecking the old Spanish Bibles as well as the new ones, in an effort to keep as much as possible the old Spanish Reformation words. I plan to call it the Reina-Valera King James Bible. I don’t know if anyone will accept it or even want it, but it’s been a real blessing to me doing the work. Finally, the Spanish Bible reads with my King James and the Spanish says the same as the English! If I ever finish, I envision churches using both, and people that speak both English and Spanish could even meet in the same building. How great that they would be able to follow along in either language!
In the meantime I’m still behind the Valera 1602 Purified Spanish Bible, as it’s the best Spanish Bible out there as of yet. Please pray for our church as they are soon hoping to get it printed again.

WONDERING

Probably the most horrible part of life is not knowing what tomorrow will bring. My Dad used to always say, “Plan your work and work your plan.” But with the uncertain economy, our current living conditions, the impending planned destruction of our nation, and many more variables, it’s hard to know exactly what to do and how. It’s hard to make any long term plans. Will there even be any money in the future for us to use to serve the Lord, especially with the national and global looming economic collapse? These things are troubling, but we’ve determined to remain joyful, and continue steadfast in the work in the situation and the area where we are serving the Lord. Please pray for us. I have some ideas and some things I’d like to do in the future, but really need the Lord’s guidance. Please pray for this. In the meantime we are enjoying passing out tracts, witnessing, translating, and preaching. God is good, and we are excited about living in the last days, as we keep looking up!

Thanks again for all your continued prayers, your kind words and encouragement, and your sacrificial giving to us and our ministry. We love you and are praying for you as well.

Robert, Laura, Emma and Elyse Breaker,

1 Sam. 12:24!

P.S. Please pray for the salvation of Mr. Steele, a man we’ve witnessed to several times at the local flea market. He’s open to the gospel and we plan on visiting him again soon.

P.S.S. I recently saw a good documentary entitled: “Dreams from my real Father,” which gives important information about our current President and his plans for our nation. I debated on whether or not to send it with this prayer letter, but the cost of mailing DVDs deterred me from doing so. I highly recommend, however, that you seek it out and watch it, as it shows who his real Father is. And it’s not who we’ve been told it was! That video shows why there was such a debate about his birth certificate, and who his real father is. It will shock you! And, it will truly show you why the United States days are numbered. Be informed!
