Welcome! Here you will find all of my prayer letters written ever since I started the ministry as a Missionary to Honduras, and then as I now am as a Missionary to the Spanish-Speaking People of the Americas. We hope to update this with our current prayer letter that we send out every two months.

September - October 2009

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.  (Phil. 2:15-16)

Dear Friends, Family, and Fondest brethren,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!  The Breaker Family is hanging in there and remaining faithful amidst an age of apostasy and continual attacks against bible-believing Christians.  These attacks come not only from the lost world, but also from religious zealots who seek to defend their own false teachings instead of following God’s holy word.  It seems the more one tries to abide by the Bible, the more he’s ridiculed for not compromising and changing like so many others have done.  When one stands firm on bible doctrine, this pricks the conscience of those who have changed their biblical position, and rather than admit they are wrong, they will attack and even crucify those who don’t go along with their modernistic teachings.  (See Jesus Christ in his earthly ministry as he battled the Pharisees who eventually killed him for speaking with authority.)
Truly, we are in the last days.  And the closer we approach the rapture, the more angry and actively hostile people become towards sound doctrinal truth.  Even in our Fundamental Christian circles, we see so much change, that many are beginning to “name-call” and “label” those in their own camp who won’t compromise with them.
For example, when a preacher preaches hard on the importance of the blood of Christ, the Pharisees of today call him a *“Calvinist.”  As one expounds sound doctrine from the epistles of Paul, he is labeled a *“Hyper-Dispensationalist” by the modern-day Sadducees.   As one preaches living a holy, spirit-filled life to please God, they are immediately branded a *“Legalist” by those who have turned the grace of God into lasciviousness. (Jude 1:4)
To be a Christian today and take a hard stand on truth and righteousness, is to mark yourself with a giant bulls-eye, and open yourself to ridicule and scorn.  But, we are okay with that!  We’ve learned that most of the time, what someone accuses you of is the very thing they are guilty of themselves.  And rather than give up or compromise, we’ve determined ever so much the more to preach harder, pray longer, praise louder, and propagate the gospel farther!

PREACHING

We’ve attended several meetings these last two months.  The sixth of September we visited a church in Mobile, Alabama.  Afterwards the Pastor took us to the church’s Food Bank, and we were able to stock up on much needed food supplies.  This helped us greatly, as our support level is still low, and free groceries are a blessing!
The end of September, I was part of a “Remembrance Service,” in Brewton Alabama, in which seven men preached on the seven sayings of Christ on the cross for 10 minutes each.  My sermon was on those famous words, “To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.”  (Luke 23:43)
In October we attended a Mission’s Conference in Deland, Florida.  We also visited the Homer Rodeheaver Boys Ranch in Palatka, Florida, where I gave devotions nightly to the troubled youth there.  The last two nights, I preached by campfire to the forty plus boys on the subjects of Hell and Christ our Substitute.

WITNESSING TO LOST HISPANICS

We attend a good church in Brewton, Alabama, while we aren’t on the road, and have made some friends there.  These friends have given us several opportunities to witness to lost Hispanics they’ve met.  Since they know no Spanish themselves, they come to us to deal with them.
While preaching in the jail ministry, one brother met a Hispanic lad who needed help.  We then contacted a friend of his named Lazaro Paredes to bail him out.  I witnessed personally to Lazaro, but he wasn’t interested.  However, he did take a Spanish New Testament and some tracts.  Please pray for his salvation.
We also passed out all our Spanish tracts (about 500) in the last two months, and are in the process of printing more.  Hispanics are everywhere in the U.S., and we are quick to give them the Gospel!  They all have the same testimony though.  With dollar signs in their eyes, they’ve come to the U.S. to make a living.  It’s hard to deal with those whose god is money.   But at least they do listen, unlike most Americans who are too busy for God.

*A Calvinist is someone who preaches the Gospel, but teaches a person can never know for sure if they are saved or not.  They further teach ridiculous things like “Limited Atonement” which states Jesus didn’t die for everyone.  But the Bible is clear, Jesus died for all men (1 Tim. 2:4-6).
*A Hyper-dispensationalist is a made-up word applied to anyone who doesn’t believe exactly like the person using the word thinks they should.  Usually it’s applied to someone who ‘divides’ the bible more than those who use the term.  But we are commanded to ‘rightly divide’ the word of God as the bible teaches (2 Tim. 2:15).
*A Legalist is someone who tries to put others under the Old Testament law for salvation, something which is completely forbidden in the New Testament, as salvation is not by works, but by faith (Gal. 2:16 and Eph. 2:8,9).  It’s been my experience that usually those who call others “legalists” are actually “liberals” themselves. (2 Peter 2:17-21).

DISTRIBUTING NEW TESTAMENTS

Before leaving for South Florida, I received an email from a preacher’s wife in Arcadia, Florida asking my pastor in Monterrey, Mexico for 32 Spanish New Testaments of our Valera 1602 Purified.  He then emailed me her request the day before we left for Sarasota.  I looked on my shelf, and I had just that exact amount left!  I took them with me, and we called her to come pick them up.  We left several messages, and prayed she’d return our call.  On the last day at Laura’s parents house, she called just in time and drove over to pick up the New Testaments!   Isn’t it awesome how God works?  If my pastor had sent the email any later, we wouldn’t have taken them with us, and if she’d called any later, we would have missed her.

TRACTS

On Halloween, we were in North Georgia, visiting my wife’s sister.  (We usually stay with family while we are on the road, to save money on hotel bills.)  We had a great time visiting with her home church “Tricking or Tracting.”  We gave away tracts, church flyers, and Gospel literature in an attractive bag, as we knocked on doors and invited people to church.  It was a lot of fun!
We have also written a new Gospel tract, enclosed with this letter, entitled, “What can Wash Away Your Sin?”  I hope it’s a blessing to you.

YOU TUBE VIDEO UPDATES

I’ve posted four videos on Youtube© about the Spanish Bible Issue.  (Two in English and two in Spanish).  We’ve already had over 200 hits!  And, we’ve received several inquiries about our pure Spanish Bible the 1602 Valera Purificada.
You can see our videos by typing in “Robert Breaker Spanish Bible in the search menu at www.youtube.com.

OUR BOOKS

I’ve now authored over 15 books.  We still receive orders for these, and the tracts we print.
Recently, Gail Riplinger contacted us and asked if she could include our three books about the Spanish Bible Issue in her latest catalog.  We readily accepted and look forward to people getting those.
We also received a great word of commendation from a Hispanic person who read our book on “Marriage, Divorce, and Remarriage.”  His words translated into English are included in this prayer letter.

BIRTH CERTIFICATE UPDATE

On October 15th, we went before a circuit court judge of Escambia County, and pleaded our case for a birth certificate.  He would not look at any of our proof that Emma is our child, but instead told us we had to take a DNA test, stating, “I believe in Science, and that’s the only evidence I will receive.”
Our hearts sank, as we remembered the following Bible verse:

O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of SCIENCE FALSELY SO CALLED.”  (1 Tim. 6:20)

Everything now hinges upon the results of the DNA test we were forced to take the same day.  Our destiny now rests in “science.”  We ask for your prayers that our results would come back right without any “human error” on the part of the lab workers (which we’ve found out is rather common).  As soon as the results prove our case, the judge is to write a court order demanding the state of Alabama to issue us a birth certificate.  However, this could take anywhere from 4-6 weeks, or longer.  Please pray this ordeal would be over soon!  We also have to pay the court costs, which the judge assured us would be no more than a couple hundred dollars.

People continually ask us how to pray for us.  The best way to pray for us to for protection, provision, and power

Thanks again for all your continued prayers and support as we serve the Lord!  We appreciate you greatly.
