Welcome! Here you will find all of my prayer letters written ever since I started the ministry as a Missionary to Honduras, and then as I now am as a Missionary to the Spanish-Speaking People of the Americas. We hope to update this with our current prayer letter that we send out every two months.

November - December 2007

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.  (1 Cor. 15:58)

            Dear Fellow Prayer Partners,

There is so much news, and so little room to relay it all to you, so we’ll just give you the highlights.  God has been too good to us these past months, and we’ve been blessed with plenty of opportunities to serve Him.   We’ve even had the pleasure of taking the Gospel to places that have never heard it before!

NOVEMBER

The 5th-9th, Laura substituted for another Missionary’s wife in a Christian Bilingual School here in La Esperanza, Intibucá, Honduras.  She taught 25 rowdy kindergarteners.  Her exact words were, “Never again!”
The 22nd (Thanksgiving), we traveled to San Pedro Sula and I preached for Pastor Alex Vasquez, a Bible Believing Pastor in the small subdivision of Cerro Verde.
The 23rd-26th, we traveled by bus to Guatemala City, Guatemala, where I preached a Sunday Service for Missionary Carlos Donate, who’s in the states on a short furlough.  I also visited and preached in the Baptist Church in Tinco.  How awesome to see people in both works that I’d led to Christ there over a year ago growing in the Lord.
DECEMBER

The first of this month we traveled with Missionary Erick Sanchez to the small town of Minas de Oro (Gold Mines), a part of Honduras I’ve never been.  There we passed out tracts, and spent the night with Erick’s family.  Please pray for his lost father Santiago Bonilla.  We plan to return to this area in January and evangelize more.
The 12th-15th, we journeyed to the small town of Piraera, which we’ve visited several times already.  From there we traveled to a mountain village named El Joril, where to our knowledge no one has never heard the Gospel before. We visited house to house, and I preached in the community building on two separate evenings to a crowd of about one hundred people.  The next evening, Erick Sanchez led three souls to Christ!
I also preached one evening and taught one morning in the Baptist Church in the mountain village of San Sebastian (outside of Piraera) for pastor Florentino Aguilar.  Before giving my sermon, I was stung in the back of the neck by a four-and-half inch long scorpion!  Have you ever tried to preach when you can’t feel your lips or tongue?  The effects of it’s venom lasted well over 24 hours, and eventually made my whole body fall asleep (It was so bad, I couldn’t even walk!).  However, the next morning I felt able enough to teach for three hours about the doctrines of Salvation, Soul winning, and the Local Church (although I still couldn’t feel my lips).  Thank God that Honduras only has brown scorpions, and not the deadly black ones!
With a generator, (as there is no electricity in the area) we also showed one of my teaching videos about the errors of the Roman Catholic Church.  About a hundred people came, most of them lost Catholics.  Many became angry, and left, but those who stayed heard the Gospel thereafter.  Some even asked questions.
The angry ones manifested their disdain by placing lines of large, jagged rocks in the road so our truck could not pass.  We had to get out half a dozen times and move them in order to leave the area and drive back home.
Finally, I preached in the church we started here in La Esperanza, on the 23rd.  My message was, “The Gospel from a Piece of Candy,” and I showed the Gospel from a Candy Cane (see back of letter for details).  At the invitation Norma Isidro Vasquez came forward, and I personally led her to the Lord!  Afterwards, we had dinner on the grounds, and enjoyed a great time of fellowship!
Thanks for your continued prayers and support, as we continue to serve the Lord in both pleasure and pain.

October 2007

But we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.  For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ:                                       - 2 Cor. 10:13

Greetings from chilly Honduras!  As I write this, the temperature is in the 40’s, as we’ve been experiencing several strange and unexpected cold fronts.  But God keeps us busy, and it warms our hearts to carry the Gospel to others.

THE WORKS

God has blessed with faithful men who are slowly taking over responsibilities in the churches here.  This is an answer to prayer.  I preach on Sundays and on Thursdays.  I also teach the young people on Saturday nights and hold a Bible Study on Mondays.  Clemente (a man in our church who’s called to preach) has taken over Wednesday night Bible Study, and fills in when I’m taking the Gospel to other areas.  He also journeys weekly with Hotir to the mountains to evangelize in small villages, holding services in several homes.  Recently, Clemente won an elderly man to the Lord!

TAPING TEACHING DVDS

We desire to reach as many as possible with sound Bible literature.  The last several months Laura has recorded me on digital video teaching several Spanish Bible Studies.  Some of the topics include:  Creation vs Evolution, The History of the Church, The Truth about Catholicism, The Truth about Mormonism, The Truth about Jehovah Witnesses, The Seven Dispensations, The Two Comings of Christ, and The 7000 Years of History.  We have burned these to DVD and are already distributing them to Spanish Speaking Pastors.  I look forward to taping these in English.

STARTING A BIBLE INSTITUTE

Another of our ministry goals is to start Bible Institutes in different regions.  I’ve been creating Bible courses in Spanish and we are starting our first Bible Institute in La Esperanza, Honduras.  Our friend Missionary Erick Sanchez will run what we’ve named, The Lenca Bible Institute.   It will be available free to Baptist Pastors in the mountains.  There is a great need for sound Bible teaching in Honduras and we are glad to be a part of founding this school.

TRAVELING AND PREACHING

The 16th, we traveled to the small island of Roatan, off the northern coast of Honduras.  There we visited Pastor Glenn Solomon, a legendary Baptist minister who has started many churches here and on mainland Honduras.  We spoke with him for a long time, and learned he was once governor of the island.  He also served as the Honduran Ambassador to Jamaica for a few years, as well as a representative to the Honduran Congress.  He told us, “I’m the man who put forth the bill to celebrate the day of the Bible every year in September!   This was very interesting!  But,” he added, “I had to quit politics to serve God, as that’s more important!  (If only some Pastors in the states would do this also!)  Pastor Glenn invited me to preach for him anytime, so we have an open door to return.
Afterwards I preached at La Iglesia Bautista el Buen Pastor for Pastor Perfecto Erazo in the city of La Ceiba.

Thanks for your continued prayers and support as we continue to do the work of a Missionary Evangelist, taking the right Gospel and the right Bible to Spanish Speaking sinners.

What is a Missionary Evangelist?

In this prayer letter, I’d like to write about something that I believe has gone unaddressed too long.  As most of you know, I’m not afraid to say what needs to be said!  As a pastor in Wyoming once told me, “I can tell your God isn’t man or money, because you don’t preach what people want to hear, rather what God gives you to tell them!
After fourteen years of experience in the ministry, God has shown me a thing or two about apostasy in modern Missions, and I can no longer keep quiet, (especially since it’s affecting me personally more and more).  The modern Missions movement is almost to the point where it’s doing more harm than good!  Moreover, most churches are so confused about what Missionaries should do, that they often support those who don’t even preach the Gospel, while ridiculing and ceasing the support of others who do!
Instead of preaching the “Old Time Way,” many preachers have adopted a “New Way of Thinking,” and are guilty of preaching another gospel (Gal. 1:6-8).  For example, I recently heard a Baptist pastor in Mexico say the following blasphemous words, “We live in a day of change.  The world has changed, and so have people.  That’s why we must change the Gospel so that people will accept it!
This is simply outrageous!  To change the truth is to preach apostasy.  That’s why I’m going to keep preaching the unchangeable Gospel and pointing people to Christ crucified (1 Cor. 2:2), no matter what the cost, (and yes there has been a cost!)
In this brief treatise, I desire to show how a lack of defining words can lead to so-called Christians turning against the very thing they are instructed to do—i.e. send out ministers who preach the Gospel.  I also want to explain the ministry God’s given me, so there will be no misunderstanding of what I’m called to do.
As the church sinks deeper into the lukewarmness of Laodicean confusion (Rev. 3:16), I’m utterly baffled by the lack of understanding, compassion, and patience in Christian churches.  CHARITY has been replaced with CRITICISM.  And instead of following the word of God, man has devised a “New Way of Working” for the Lord—working his way instead of God’s way.
But, what if man’s way is not Biblical?  And what if man, in his new way of doing things fulfills his objectives instead of God’s?  Sadly, I believe this is exactly what has happened.
The early apostles loved the Lord Jesus Christ so much they forsook all (Luke 5:11), and willingly gave their lives for the Gospel, suffering outrageous sorrows and even death (Rev. 17:6).  Yet in the 21st century, Christians don’t even love God enough to LIVE for Him, much less DIE for Him!
The Bible speaks of the church today in Revelation chapter three as Laodicea, the wickedest of all the seven churches.  It’s the one that completely kicked God out! (Rev. 3:20).  Everything this church does is in God’s name, but it hasn’t even let God in.  It is working without God’s power.  In other words, its working in the FLESH, instead of through God’s SPIRIT.  (And many times it does what it wants instead of what God instructed it to do!)
Because of its carnal character, modern Christianity has become more focused on the WAY it works instead of WHAT God has instructed it to do, especially on the subject of Missions.  Let me give you a few examples.
I recently heard the story of a church canceling a Missionary’s support with the excuse, “We no longer want to support you, because you ventured out of the PLACE you said you were called to preach, and have begun preaching the Gospel in another area.  We find it devious of you to take the Gospel to a place you didn’t say you were going!”
But does it matter WHERE a missionary goes with the Gospel?  Shouldn’t just PREACHING the Gospel be the most important thing?  How could anyone call taking the Gospel to another area, “devious?”
This Laodicean teaching that a man is only called TO A PLACE, rather than the Biblical teaching of TO PEOPLE, has led churches (like those in the example above) to drop Missionary’s support for going somewhere else with the Gospel.  But God allows us to preach the Gospel anywhere and everywhere we go! In fact, he commands it!  (Mk 16:15)
I heard of another church dropping support to a Missionary for the following ridiculous reason: “Your claiming that you are called to a certain group of people is too vague, and we aren’t going to support a person who doesn’t tell us specifically where he’s going to preach the Gospel.”
But shouldn’t a Missionary be someone who takes the Gospel to all the lost? Should man limit God?  The Modern Mission System does just that when it teaches that a Missionary is someone who’s only called to a PLACE, instead of to PEOPLE.  (Acts 1:8)
A Missionary should be free to travel and preach as the Lord leads with the goal of leading as many as possible to Jesus Christ.  Where was the Apostle Paul called?  The answer: “To everywhere he went!
Sadly, most modern churches in America don’t have a clue of what a Missionary or an Evangelist is, or what he’s supposed do.  In fact, apostate Christianity has moved so far away from the Bible, that we are almost to the point where Christians are doing the exact opposite of what the early church did and preached!  I’m sure the apostle Paul would turn over in his grave if he knew what’s happening now in the name of Missions.
Rather than make the Gospel the most important thrust of Missions, most of those who call themselves Missionaries today do anything but preach the glorious story of Christ’s blood atonement.  Instead of stressing the importance of trusting the SHED BLOOD, modern Missions has invented a “New Mission Objective” instituting SOCIAL PROGRAMS, which care only for the physical needs of man—instead of man’s most important need, a SPIRITUAL NEW BIRTH!  Instead of preaching the PROPITIATION of Christ, they have set up their own PRIESTHOOD, where converts become dependent upon the MISSIONARY and his money rather than on God’s promises.  This has led to the downfall of modern Christianity and has changed it from SPIRIT LED, to SPIRITUALLY DEAD!
Medical Missions, orphanages, feeding centers, housing programs, secular education schools and clothing distribution organizations are now commonplace, and these are foremost objectives of the MISSIONS MOVEMENT.  Sadly, the preaching of the Gospel has become second place.  Instead of meeting the spiritual needs of man, most modern day Mission Boards encourage missionaries to cater only to man’s carnal needs.  And instead of telling people of the FREE GIFT of eternal life, most are more interested in giving physical GIFTS to the impoverished masses, setting up a society of takers instead of givers, making people more dependent upon the Missionary than on the Lord.  (Note: I’m certainly not against doing any of these things, and none of these things are bad if they are used to open doors to preach the Gospel.  The problem is these Social programs are replacing the preaching of the Gospel all together).
I call this, “Welfare Christianity.”  So widespread is this modern debacle, that I’ve been labeled a “bad missionary” by many lost people in Honduras for preaching the Gospel, because they exclaimed, “You’re not a good Missionary unless you give us STUFF, and you don’t give away stuff, so you aren’t a good Missionary!  (Meanwhile they go to the Pentecostal church and get every thing free, but they NEVER hear the Gospel!)
This is why it’s important to understand the primary responsibility of a Missionary—TO  PREACH THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST’S FINISHED WORK!  For what shall it profit a man if you give him all his physical needs, and he loses his own soul?  (Mark 8:36)
With all these new Modernistic changes to Missions, I’d now like to define what a Missionary and an Evangelist are according to the Bible, and see how the church’s confusion on the definition of terms has hurt the cause of Christ in several ways.

A MISSIONARY

A Missionary is someone who’s sent to evangelize by preaching the Gospel (1 Cor. 1:17) to sinners of another language or culture. This can clearly be seen in the life of Paul who himself said, “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all.”  Paul took the Gospel to those of other languages.
Further, a Missionary must be sent by God (Acts 13:2) and his local church (Acts 13:3).  Far too many Missionaries today claim to be sent by their Mission Board.  But where do we find God authorizing a business to send Missionaries in His name?  Did not God delegate His mission of reaching a lost and dying world to the CHURCH?
I’ve personally met many Missionaries who say the following, “My board tells me what to do, where to go, how long to stay, and how much money I will receive.”
In short, most Missionaries are nothing more than EMPLOYEES, working for a BOARD instead of working for the LORD!
In this New Method of Missions, it is very easy for Missionaries to become enslaved in bondage to man.  And I’ve personally seen and heard many cases of Mission Boards replacing the Holy Spirit, and mandating Missionaries to follow the director’s leading, under threat of excommunication or loss of support, unless they do as they are told.  How different this is from the early Christians, who followed God’s leading wholeheartedly, trusting wholly in God to support them as they followed His holy word.
Sadly, many Missionaries today are also instructed by a Mission Board to go to a foreign field and STAY in one tiny area for life, and are restrained from traveling to other countries to plant churches and preach the Gospel like the early apostles.  Yet, Paul was a MISSIONARY that evangelized in many different countries, speaking in many different languages.  And he didn’t allow himself to be put under the authority of man (1 Cor. 6:12), but freely followed God as the Lord guided him.  And, my, how God used him!  He turned the known world upside down! (Acts 17:6).
I mention this, as I recently heard the following sad testimony from a fellow Missionary.  He said, “I was a Missionary in Mexico for many years.  But God led me to go to Botswana, Africa.  When I told my supporting churches, most of them dropped my support, some even calling me a LIAR!  I then had to start deputation all over and it took me several years before I could finally go to Africa.
So engrained in the mind of most churches that a Missionary is only called to one SPECIFIC PLACE, that many Missionaries feel unable to freely travel to other areas as Paul with the Gospel for fear of losing support.  Notice how this hinders the Gospel, and it impedes Missionaries from branching out and Evangelizing in other areas.

AN EVANGELIST

An Evangelist is someone who’s mission is to travel and preach the Gospel to the lost, as the apostle Philip. The word Evangelist is found in the Bible two times (Acts 21:8, 2 Tim. 4:5).  Interestingly enough, the word missionary is not found in the Bible one time.  I bring this up, because I’ve recently had several Pastors drop my support claiming, “We only support Missionaries, not Evangelists!
I find this strange, as today even LOST MODERNISTS with SOCIALISTIC AGENDAS call themselves Missionaries.  Yet they would never call themselves EVANGELISTS, not desiring to be identified with evangelization or converting others to Christ.  But biblically, both Missionaries and Evangelists are sent to EVANGELIZE.  And shouldn’t EVANGELIZING be the main thrust of Missions?
When I asked the aforementioned church why they supported me in the first place, they responded, “Because you are taking the Gospel to lost Hispanics!
If this be so, why did they drop my support?  Why would it matter to WHERE I go as much as to WHOM I go, if the MISSION is to EVANGELIZE LOST HISPANICS TO CHRIST?
Allow me to make this clear, I’m not against Missionaries or Evangelists.  Nor am I against Mission Boards, Churches, or Missions or Pastors.  But I believe that modern Christianity, as a whole, is so apostate that it can’t even think straight!  It’s forgotten that a Missionary—as well as an Evangelist—has a MISSION to evangelize the lost!  This is BIBLICAL MISSIONS.
One should always define terms to avoid confusion.  Biblically, a Missionary is sent to evangelize the lost of another language, while an Evangelist evangelizes more in his own language.  But both of these do the work of an EVANGELIST!  Paul evangelized to where he went to both Jew and Gentile.  And Philip preached to his own people as well as to the Ethiopian Eunuch.
I stress this point, as recently, I lost even more support when one church said, “Breaker, you are not a Missionary to a certain PLACE, so we aren’t going to support you!  Another stated similarly, “We don’t want to support you because you are only an evangelist, and we only support Missionaries
But what’s the difference?  Is one so much different than the other?  Why do they downgrade Evangelists, and uplift Missionaries?  Are they not the same?  Do they not do the exact same thing?
The truth is there is no difference.  Simply put, “A Missionary is to EVANGELIZE and God’s MISSION for every minister is to do the work of an EVANGELIST!  (2 Tim. 4:5).  Every Missionary really is an Evangelist, and every Evangelist truly is a Missionary!
It’s a shame to have to mention such a simple Biblical truth, but I must state this dogmatically.  The problem is that most Christians today think that a Missionary is someone who’s called ONLY to one place to live the rest of his life, and his mission there is to only cater to the physical needs of man.  But, according to the word of God, a Missionary, as well as an Evangelist, is to take the Gospel with him wherever he goes, reaching a lost and dying world for Christ.  One is not more important than the other.  They are both equally needed, and have the same awesome responsibility.
It is true a Missionary usually must learn another language, and he must preach the Gospel to others who speak that language.  And, he must know those people and understand their way of thinking.  These are the people to which he’s been sent.  While an Evangelist usually takes the Gospel to whomever he meets, wherever he goes.  But they both have the same calling and responsibility, TO EVANGELIZE!  And even Evangelists travel around the world preaching the Gospel (at times in other languages through interpreters).
As a Missionary Evangelist myself, (a term that has led to me having lost even more support, as one church said, “The term Missionary Evangelist is not in the Bible!”), God has called me to take the Gospel to the HISPANIC PEOPLE throughout the Americas (and yeah, even to Spain if need be), giving them the pure word of God and preaching their need for salvation, while still reaching my own people—English Speakers, as the Lord allows.  And I’m baffled that I’m losing support for telling people of my God-called ministry!
Many have forsaken me, and have claimed that supporting an evangelist is not right, while supporting a Missionary is.  For the life of me, I don’t understand this.  How can they not desire to support a Missionary Evangelist?  A Missionary and an Evangelist are really the SAME THING!  And, they both have the same calling–PREACHING THE GLORIOUS GOSPEL OF CHRIST’S ATONING WORK ON CALVARY, with the goal of EVANGELIZING THE LOST SINNER!
So I will shortly have to do deputation over, because most people think a Missionary and an Evangelist are two separate things, and they only want to support one instead of the other.  But Biblically, they both have the same calling and goal.  This is why I call myself a Missionary Evangelist.  I desire all to know my MISSION as a MISSIONARY is to reach those of the Spanish tongue, and as an EVANGELIST my responsibility is to EVANGELIZE the lost of any nation, tongue, creed, or race.  This is what God called me to do.  And because of the confusion over the definition of words, I make it a point to use both words in describing my ministry.  Why?  So people will know exactly what my mission is!
As most of you know, there are over 50 million illegal aliens in the United States, which don’t speak English, and many more infiltrating our “open borders” daily.  Who will preach the Gospel to them?  And, all throughout Central and South America there are hundreds of Laodicean Baptist churches which use the corrupt 1960 Spanish Bible put out by the Liberal United Bible Societies under the authority of the Catholic Church.  In short, they use a Catholic Bible.  Someone needs to give them the pure word of God in Spanish.
Here am I Lord, send me!
But, when did it become a sin for a Missionary to evangelize and for an Evangelist to tell others of his mission of reaching the lost for Christ?  Be it sin or not in the eyes of modern day churches, I will continue my ministry and put God first, fulfilling the great commission in my life as the early apostles did, from Jerusalem to Judea to Samaria and to the uttermost parts of the world (Acts 1:8), suffering loss if need be.
I’ll close by mentioning the worst teaching of the Laodicean church, that of changing the Gospel.  Sadly, in this modernistic, apostate era, many so-called missionaries not only have a New way of Thinking, but a New way of Preaching,” apart from salvation by grace through faith in the sacrificial work of Christ.  They have a “New Age Gospel” which teaches a “New Modernistic Plan of Salvation.
Instead of TRUST THE BLOOD, as the Bible teaches, a sinner now is taught to TRUST HIMSELF or something HE DID.  But a true Missionary and a Biblical Evangelist does not preach this apostate method.  Instead he points sinners to the crucified Saviour on the Cross of Calvary.
This is why I’ve enclosed my new book entitled, “Hey, Where’s the Blood?  In it, I expose the satanic BLOODLESS GOSPEL being preached all over the world today by apostate Christianity.  I pray this book will be a blessing to you and help you realize just how far modern Christianity has departed from the Bible and how close we are to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ!  And I hope you’ll see the need for someone to preach against apostasy in both English and Spanish in this present evil age, as more and more apostate teachings are entering Christian churches, and these are responsible many times for hindering the Gospel of Christ from reaching the lost and dying world.
I’ll close with the words of the Apostle Paul, which I are my solemn desire:

According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.  For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. (Phil. 1:20,21)

August - September 2007

...the LORD gave,  and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.
                                                                                        - Job 1:21

            Dear Praying Friends,

The months of August and September have brought both joy and sorrow.  We’ve been greatly blessed and also suffered great loss.  But we continue faithful, “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.” (Heb. 12:2), trusting Him alone as circumstances we don’t always understand, happen “according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will.”  (Eph. 1:11).

OUR NEW HOUSE

The entire month of August we spent in the states taking care of personal business and visiting family.  The good news is we now have a home in Alabama that we can live in while we do deputation over and raise support for our ministry to the Spanish Speaking people.  It’s a modest house in Brewton, Alabama, that needs some fixing up, but we are grateful to have a place to call home and use as a base as we travel and preach throughout the Americas.

BACK TO HONDURAS

We flew back to Honduras the 31st of August, and found things well in order.  The two works here are going fine, and Clemente and Hotir are doing a great job of preaching and teaching.  We prayed long and hard for some men in the church to mature to this level, and we believe God has answered our prayers.  (As afore mentioned, we plan to live here only until January or February, awaiting the other Missionary’s return.)
I’m busy here preaching services on Sunday in both works.  I also preach on Thursday night in Quebrada de Lajas (Bible Baptist Church), while Clemente teaches Wednesday evening service in El Tejar (New Hope Baptist Church).   On Saturday night I handle the Youth Services.  And on Monday nights we’ve started a Bible study in Erick Sanchez’s house.
I’ve also been active as an evangelist traveling and preaching in other areas.  On the 7th to the 9th of September I preached at Bible Baptist Church in the island of Utila, Honduras.  Hurricane Felix messed up our schedule, and I thought the pastor would surely cancel, but he called at the last minute and told me it was safe to come and preach the youth meeting we had planned.  They expected 150 young people, many from juvenile detention halls.  But, because the island had been evacuated for the storm, only 40 people showed up.  I preached as hard as I could, and gave many evangelistic messages (as Pastor Julio requested), but no one came forward to get saved.  There were many lost people present, and I ask your prayers for them, that God use the seed planted there.

OUR HEARTBREAK

I never thought I’d bury a baby on the Mission field.  But on September 20th, 2007 we were devastated when our first baby was prematurely stillborn in Hospital Evangelica in Siguatepeque, Honduras (about an hour from where we live).  The female child was underweight at only 2 lbs, but looked healthy.  This is a hard blow for us, but we are getting through it.  We have put it all in God’s hands claiming the promise, “...all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).  Laura is recuperating well, and I was there holding her hand through the whole ordeal.   Sometimes I don’t know how to express my emotions and usually deal with things like this through poetry.  I’m enclosing the poem I wrote the day it happened.

So even though the gloominess of September paled in comparison to our joy in the month of August, we are faring well.  And though we’ve passed through some trials in the Lord’s service with much tears and prayer, we are encouraged knowing God’s still on the throne.  As Psalm 30:5 says, “...weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”  And it helps to look forward to that Great Celestial Morning in which we can see our baby once more.

Deeply saddened but desirous to serve,

            Robert and Laura Beth Breaker

Oh my Precious Little One
Upon the stillborn birth of our first child in Honduras on September 20th, 2007
By Robert R. Breaker III

Oh my precious little child;
Blessed one with no fame,

I never even got to hold you,
Tiny one with no name.

What made you sick, what made you die,
What was it you could not tame?

How, oh, how could you leave me,
With no one to place blame?

At least now you are at peace,
In heaven, my cherished dame.

And, I long so much to see you soon,
And ask you why you came.

Your life so short, soon passed away.
You never laughed or played a game.

But God is still in control,
He’s on His throne just the same.

And, into His hands I place you now,
Where sin and death can’t maim.

And trust the Lord will permit me soon,
To see you once again.

June - July 2007

...the word of God is not bound.    2 Tim. 2:9

            Dear Praying Friends,

Truly the word of God is not bound.  And we count it a privilege to do our part in distributing the word of God so that it might increase (Acts 6:7), multiply (Acts 12:24), grow and prevail (Acts 19:20).  God’s kept us very busy the months of June and July as I’ve been continually Preaching, Printing, and Passing out Gospel literature.  But we have seen our share of Problems while Pressing Forward in the work of the Lord.

PREACHING and TEACHING

July 13th, Laura and I traveled for a three-day meeting to the little village town of Piraera, a four-hour drive from where we live.  The village is very close to the El Salvador border and is very tiny.  All total there are only 10,000 people in the surrounding area.  Even though the population is small, there are many cults which have already entered there, including: 7th Day Adventists, Pentecostals, and of course Catholics.  I preached twice in the evening at the small Baptist Church, and taught for two whole days on the subject of “The Errors of Catholicism.”
We hoped for a better crowd, but at least several Baptist Pastors came and took notes.  One told me afterwards, “I appreciate the information, and this will really help me to win Catholics to the Lord!

PROBLEMS and PLANNING

My wife’s 90-day permission to stay in Honduras ran out in July, so we drove the three hours to the capital city of Tegucigalpa to ask for an extension.  In the past, they gave her another 90 days for a small fee, but this time they told us of a new law which only allows a foreigner 30 extra days, after which they must leave “Zone 4.”  I inquired what Zone 4 meant, and they explained that all of Central America is now “unified” into one.  This includes El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua.  It’s interesting that they call it Zone 4.  I wonder how many other zones exist, as we know the Bible speaks of ten kingdoms which the Antichrist will reign over according to the books of Daniel and Revelation.  Could there already be nine others?

With my wife forced to leave, we will fly to the states in August, and then fly back to Honduras the same month, hoping they’ll give Laura another 90 days upon our return.  We plan to have our baby here on the Mission field (the due date is tentatively November 5th).  This will make it easier to get Honduras residency if we need it.

It appears that we’ll have to do deputation over again, as we’ve lost a lot of our support.  Our plan is to do the best we can until January living on our savings, and the small amount of support we are receiving.  The other Missionary here left for a six month furlough, and asked us to fill in until he returns.  We feel confident we continue the work here in his absence, doing more with less, and trusting God to provide.  But any extra offerings the Lord lays on your heart to give would be a real blessing during this hard time.

While in Honduras, I plan to tape many of my teaching sessions using slides like evangelist Kent Hovind.  Some of my topics include:  The Bible Issue, Soul Winning, Creation vs Evolution, The Rising New World Order and What a Christian Should do About It, and much more. I’ll also have a series against false sects, including: Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, Charismatics, Catholics, 7th Day Adventists, and more.  I hope to eventually record these again in the U.S. while on deputation in the states, and make this information available on DVD in both English and Spanish.

PRINTING

I’ve recently printed my second book on the Spanish Bible Issue, and am enclosing a copy in this prayer letter.  It’s a little lengthy compared to my first book entitled, “A BRIEF History of the Spanish Bible.”  However, it is packed full of a wealth of information for anyone interested in the truth about the Spanish Bible, and the Satanic conspiracy against it.  Many still aren’t aware that most modern Bibles (in both Spanish and English) are based on catholic critical texts instead of God’s pure, preserved texts.  This book explains Satan’s plan to replace the pure word of God with a water-downed, Catholic version.

THE PURE WORD OF GOD IN SPANISH!

More and more corrupt Spanish Bibles are being printed by apostate Bible Societies.  But we thank God for our Bible Believing Home Church in Monterrey, Mexico, which worked more than eleven years revising the old 1602 Reina-Valera Bible with the Greek Textus Receptus in the New Testament and the Hebrew Masoretic in the Old.
They’ve finally finished the Old Testament, and have just started printing the entire Spanish Bible on a small press!  We look forward to getting as many of these out as possible, for in my estimation, this is the purest Spanish Bible in existence!  (We also desire to find another press who’s willing to help us print.  If you know of any, please contact me).

PASSING OUT LITERATURE

In both June and July we traveled to San Pedro Sula, Tegucigalpa, Rio Grande, Piraera, Erandique, and several other areas in Honduras taking boxes of tracts, Bibles, and New Testaments to local Baptist pastors.
The most asked for tracts are “All This I Did for Thee” and “Justified by His Blood” in Spanish.  We could sure use some more boxes of these, if anyone desires to mail us some.  Please send them to:

PERSECUTION

As most of you know, Honduras is mostly a Catholic country.  And even though its Constitution gives religious liberty to all, we’ve lately begun seeing more Catholic discrimination.
In Rio Grande, where Missionary Erick Sanchez works, Catholics went to the governmental municipality and asked for a court order against his Baptist building project in their community.
In the small Lenca Indian village of Sapatillo where Mike Lane preaches, the Catholics made an edict against him, threatening him with bodily harm should he ever return.  I’ve also heard that Catholics now tell the common people of that village that Baptists are nothing more than cannibals who have come to “eat their children.”
Even though the Catholic church is trying to intimidate us, we continue strong, taking the Gospel to the lost and dying world.  Catholics need to be saved just like everyone else!

PRESENTATION

My wife taped one of our Missionary journeys, and we have it now on DVD.  She followed me on a trip to Piraera in June where I preached in one of the mountain churches and passed out Bibles.  Because of our lack of funds, we can’t send a DVD out to everyone as we’d like.  But we’d be happy to do our best to send this Bilingual DVD (in Spanish and English) to anyone that emails, writes, or phones asking for a copy.  We really do want people to see what we do, and feel like they are a part of our ministry.  Prayer letters and pictures are good, but watching a video of the Mission Field is the second best thing as actually coming here yourself!

God bless you all, and thanks again for your continued prayers.  We count it a joy and an honor to work with you in serving our Great God and Saviour Jesus Christ!

January - February 2007

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature
- Mark 16:15

Praise God for all his rich and glorious blessings!  The past couple of months, I preached in Florida, New Jersey, Iowa, Oklahoma, Alaska, and South Carolina.  God’s unseen hand led us each step of the way, and through our travels God proved to us our ministry is to preach the Gospel to more than just the people of Honduras.  After much prayer, trying circumstances, the advice of other Christians, and definite scripture (Rom. 15:20-23), God has guided us to expand the ministry to all Spanish Speaking people, as we desire to serve Him faithfully.
Eight years ago, I answered God’s call to be a Missionary.  After graduating from Bible School, God sent me first to Honduras to learn the ministry of teaching and preaching His word to Hispanicsmostly lost Catholics.  Praise the Lord, for five years God used me to lead hundreds to Jesus Christ as their Saviour, and plant churches!
In Acts 1:8, Jesus said, “…ye shall receive power…and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
In God’s plan for my life, Honduras was my Jerusalem.  He then sent me to Samaria—through our evangelistic journeys to Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico, Belize, and Costa Rica, about which you have been reading in our prayer letters.
Now God gave the vision to broaden our ministry to the uttermost parts of the earth—from South America through Canada, “...to preach the gospel in the regions beyond.” (2 Cor. 10:16).
Since the southern border of the U.S. has disappeared, there are tens of millions of lost Hispanic immigrants from California to the Mississippi, from Miami to the Bronx.  Most can’t speak English.  God has placed a great burden on us to reach them with the Gospel and the right Bible before America enslaves them with perverted Bibles and numerous false religions.
In my ministry, the Lord sent me to the 48 continental states and Alaska.  I’ve even traveled from the Bahamas to the Panama Canal.  I’ve preached the Gospel in town squares, churches, homes, and schools.  Laura Beth and I even rode mules to remote villages high in the Honduran mountains to bring Jesus to the Indians!
It’s clear that God’s plan in my life is to take the Gospel far and wide.  And since the uniting of Central America into one political region without borders has greatly hindered us from obtaining Laura Beth’s visa, we’ll carry the light of the Gospel to all Spanish Speaking people of the Americas—for, Biblically, a missionary is not just called to a place, but to people.
We greatly appreciate all your prayers and financial support for the past five years, and know God will reward you at the Judgment Seat of Christ for your participation in our new worldwide Missionary endeavor.

We are now being sent from Iglesia Bautista Biblica de Gracia (Grace Bible Baptist Church) in Monterrey, Mexico.  Pastor Raul Reyes is a great Hispanic preacher, whose church translated and produced the 1602 TR Spanish New Testament.   They are currently finishing the Old Testament to improve the Spanish Bible to match the KJV and Masoretic Hebrew Text, and purge it of all critical text and catholic readings.
Between upcoming Missionary journeys we will return to our new headquarters to write and print books and tracts, report our daily journal on our website, and update our internet ministry.  We still receive many emails monthly from people all over the Americas wanting a pure Spanish Bible, and I mail them the 1602 TR.
We look forward to your continued support as we work together for the Lord to reach lost Hispanics.  I list our ministry goals on the back of this letter.  We will send you all a monthly prayer letter and receipts for your gifts.
May God richly bless you in this new year.  We look forward to what God will do, and covet your prayers.  Please visit our website at:

Brief Explanation of new Ministry Seal:

In our new ministry seal above, we emphasize preaching the Blood Atonement, the Book, and the Blessed Hope.
The red stripe signifies the precious redeeming blood of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:18,19).  The Book represents the powerful word of God (Hebrews 4:12).  And the trumpet represents our Blessed Hope — the promised Rapture of the Church (Titus 2:13, 1 Thess. 4:13-18).

Our Ministry Goals:

*  Win lost souls (Prov. 11:30, James 5:20)
*  Teach soul winning classes in Local Churches
*  Print and distribute Tracts
*  Start street preaching ministries in Local Churches

EDIFY THE SAINTS:

*  Encourage Pastors in the work of the Lord
*  Expose Apostate Practices and Teachings, and exhort Christians to return to the word of God
*  Start Spanish Bible Institutes (through DVD courses)

ENCOURAGE THOSE IN GOD’S SERVICE:

NOTE:  BELOW IS AN ALTERNITIVE JAN - FEB 2007 PRAYERLETTER SENT OUT IN MARCH.  SADLY, MY PRAYERLETTERS FROM MARCH THROUGH MAY 2007 HAVE BEEN LOST OR DELETED FROM MY COMPUTER AND THUS, I AM UNABLE TO REPRODUCE THESE.  IF ANYONE MIGHT HAVE THEM IN LETTER FORMAT, PLEASE MAIL THEM TO ME AND I WILL GLADLY POST THEM HERE.
Greetings from the Breakers!  We appreciate your prayers and support as we continually present the Gospel and a pure Spanish Bible to Spanish Speaking people.

Preaching

We spent most of January on the road in meetings in Florida, North Carolina, and Georgia.  God is good and gave us several new supporting churches.

Producing DVD’s

In North Carolina, at Bright Light Baptist Church, I taught The History of the Spanish Bible in their Bible Institute.  My wife video taped it, and we burned the 2 hour session to DVD.  I’m enclosing a copy for you in English, and I hope it’s a blessing.  You may copy and distribute it if you desire.
Most Missionaries to Spanish Speaking people use the Bible Society-produced 1960 Spanish version.   As I’ve reported before, this translation is full of critical text readings and contains many doctrinal errors and mistakes.  Because of this, there is a movement by several Independent Baptist groups to produce and print a pure word of God in Spanish based on the Textus Receptus and King James, and distribute it to Spanish speakers.  These include the 1602 Purified New Testament of Monterrey, and the new Gomez Bible, a revision by Humberto Gomez.  I believe my ministry is not only to preach the Gospel and win souls, but also to point people to the pure word of God in Spanish and expose modernist translations in Spanish (and English).  This DVD will clearly present the History of the Spanish Bible, and help you see the need for the pure word of God in Spanish.
I also preached against evolution in Spanish in the Spanish ministry at Bright Light Baptist Church. A DVD of this is available upon request.
Finished Product

You’ll remember in January of 2005, Kent Hovind came to Honduras to preach against evolution. We recorded his presentation on MiniDV tapes, and mailed them to his son for processing.  The finished Bilingual English/Spanish teaching DVD’s are now available.  We received 50 copies in February and look forward to giving them to the Spanish Speaking people.   Copies are available from Creation Science Evangelism in Pensacola, Florida, at www.drdino.com.

Prayer Card

Enclosed is our new prayer card.  Laura worked hard designing it on the computer.  More are available upon request.

   Printing

I finally finished my latest book, entitled The History and Truth About the Spanish Bible Controversy, and we are currently printing it.  This book reveals the Catholic influence in old Spanish Bibles, the connection of modern Bible Societies with the Catholic Church, and how Protestants secretly work together with Rome to produce corrupt, critical text based Spanish Bibles.  Please email or contact me at the support address above if you would like a copy.  This information is very important because it proves the popular 1960 Spanish Bible used the critical texts and the liberal English Revised Standard Version in the act of translating, and exposes the ecumenical motive of the United Bible Societies for producing modern versions like the 1960.

Pain

Thank you for praying for God to heal my foot, which began hurting in Honduras more than six months ago.  I took antibiotics for a month to reduce the painful swelling so I could have surgery on February 20th.  I am slowly recuperating.

   Planning

We’ve been very busy here in the States selling things on Ebay, attending a book-keeping class in a local college, and printing tracts and booklets for the ministry.  We are also arranging our schedule.  We plan to drive to Mexico soon, where we’ll visit our sending church,  then we’ll ride a bus to Honduras to set up a Bible Institute for a native pastor.  Finally, we’ll sell our household items so we can have less dead weight as we travel throughout the Americas preaching and teaching.
We also are planning some meetings along the southern border of the U.S. in the middle and end of 2007.  If you’d like us to visit your church in 2007 or 2008 please contact us.

Because He Shed His precious blood for us,
