Welcome! Here you will find all of my prayer letters written ever since I started the ministry as a Missionary to Honduras, and then as I now am as a Missionary to the Spanish-Speaking People of the Americas. We hope to update this with our current prayer letter that we send out every two months.

April 2004

Dear Praying Fellowlabourers,

And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not.”  Acts 28:24

The most frustrating thing about being a Missionary is witnessing to others and watching them willingly deny the Lord Jesus Christ and reject him as their Saviour.   As the verse above says, some will believe and some won’t.  But that’s no excuse to quit witnessing, as so many “Christians” have nowadays, rather it compels me to continue on for the sake of those that will.

WITNESSING TO ALL

On April 13th, I took a “road trip” with some of my converts to the little village of “Los Dolores” to witness to their lost family members.   There, I had the chance to take Ichabel and Gregorio Sanchez (brothers) through the scriptures, and show them their sin, their need to be saved, and their pending judgment if they refuse.  Unfortunately, they put salvation off until another day.

On April 18th, while in Quebrada de Lajas, I stumbled upon two young, lost men who have visited our services there.  They were both drunk, and one was so intoxicated, that he was laying in the middle of the road almost completely passed out.  I did the only Christian thing I could, I played the “Good Samaritan” in taking them home, and putting them to bed.  This opened the door to witness to some of their family as well.

On April 26th, in Teguicigalpa, I took Mrs. Ruth Yamileth Avila and her sister through the scriptures showing them their need for “eternal” rather than temporal life.  They listened well, but chose not to repent, claiming they “just weren’t ready yet.”

WINNING ONE

Returning from Los Dolores on the 13th, I witnessed to Blanca’s brother Juan Carlos Sanchez, asking him to turn to verses on salvation and read them.  He did so, and before we arrived to Quebrada de Lajas, I pulled over on the side of the road and led him to the Lord Jesus Christ by faith in the precious shed blood!

WORKS

Services at my house have been going on now for four months in the absence of the other Missionary, who had gone to the states.  We’ve seen several saved, and I’ve enjoyed preaching to mostly teenagers, who are eager to learn.

I’m continuing on in Quebrada de Lajas preaching and teaching each Thursday Night and Sunday afternoon in this very Catholic stronghold.  It seems that there’s always a new person in service that is “curious” to hear what’s being preached, and I enjoy showing them God’s words.   Please pray for both of these works.

WANTS

I am in much need of Spanish tracts against the Catholics, J.W.’s, Mormon’s and more.  Anything you could send would be a blessing.  Please mail them to the address below.

Much heartfelt thanks I desire and send to you all for your continued prayers and support.  May God bless you richly, and may we soon “gather at the river” to shout, sing, praise, and enjoy our blessed eternity with him who loved us enough to die for us.

Because of Christ Jesus our most marvellous Lord,
