Welcome! Here you will find all of my prayer letters written ever since I started the ministry as a Missionary to Honduras, and then as I now am as a Missionary to the Spanish-Speaking People of the Americas. We hope to update this with our current prayer letter that we send out every two months.

June 2004

Dear Brethren,

I’m continually busy here in Honduras plodding along and am enjoying faithfully planting, watering, and watching God give the increase!

On June 10th, a young lady named Kenia Amaya trusted Jesus Christ as her Saviour in services at Quebrada de Lajas, after I preached a message entitled, “¡Aceptad!” (Accept!)  To God be the Glory!

We moved out of our old building that was full of bats, and had our first service in the building across the street on the 17th.  We had a good crowd of people, about 35 in total, and I preached on the subject of “THE BLOOD.”  My points were that the blood is 1. “Pura” (Pure),  2. “Preciosa” (Precious) , and 3. “Poderosa” (Powerful).

On the 15th of June, my Mom flew down from the states to spend two weeks with me.  We had a wonderful time together, as I took her with me out in the mountains to visit the people I’m trying to reach.  I also took her around with me to other areas during the first week, showing her what I’m doing here, and where I’m preaching and teaching.

The second week she was here, we journeyed to the Honduran island of Utila on the Northern Coast.  There we took a vacation, and enjoyed learning how to Scuba Dive.  After only three days of classes we both became certified PADI Open Water divers.  It was a lot of fun, and I had the opportunity to swim underwater with a huge Hawk’s Bill Sea Turtle.  We also were blessed to see barracuda, a morey eel, squid, a sea horse, and many other beautiful marine creatures in their own natural habitat!

It wasn’t all vacation time, however, as I was asked to teach Wednesday night service at the Baptist Church there in Utila for Pastor Julio Cordón, as well as preach on Sunday evening.  My Mom was there for that, and we had someone translate for her into English (as I preached in Spanish).

I also had the opportunity to witness to an old man there on Utila named Harry Cooper.  He doesn’t claim to be saved, but says he’s a distant cousin to Missionary Earl Howell there.  Please pray for Mr. Cooper’s salvation.

Thus, June was a very fun month.  Not only was it good to see the Lord’s family in our little church growing, but it was a blessing to spend some time with my mother as well.

Thanks again for all your continued prayers and support.  May God richly bless you all!

Because of Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour,
