I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have showed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God. Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it. (Isaiah 43:11-13 )
Hello once again from the Breakers,
Life is good, and it’s a blessing to be alive! Amen? Even when things don’t always go the way you want, or circumstances don’t always allow you to go in the direction you desire, it’s still just good to be saved and know you are on your way to heaven! Nothing beats just knowing you are saved! Amen? (Why, if you haven’t got that, you haven’t got anything!)
The Breaker’s have been very busy the last couple of months on furlough working and trying to get our houses in order. We’ve been doing hard labor with our construction jobs and have been blessed to finish one big project, while we begin work on another. The heat has been slowing us down in this oh so hot summer (many days of over 100 degrees), but we endure as we keep saying to each other, “It sure beats hell!”
(I’ve also gotten a huge tan, so now I even look like a Hispanic, which will no doubt help us reach them in the future!).
While we work many hours a day, we still find people emailing and calling us with questions about the Spanish Bible Controversy, and ordering our tracts, books, and videos. Let me tell you about just some of them.
JOEL GOMEZ
Joel is a real “go-getter” when it comes to the Lord and the things of God. A native of Mexico who now lives in Idaho, he also likes to study the word of God, and through his research, he has found the best Spanish Bible is our Valera 1602 Purified. He’s decided he’d tell others what he’s found and has gone far and wide talking to pastors all over his area to tell them about how the 1960 Spanish Bible is so awful (cause it’s based on the critical texts) and how they should switch to a better Bible based entirely on the pure line of Bible texts. This has led to him finding what we’ve found: loss of friends, and to being spoken against by many pastors. But the ridicule he’s received has only strengthened his faith and made him even more determined to get the truth out to others. Instead of trying to reach those in the ministry who claim to be saved, (yet don’t seem to care about having a pure Bible), he’s now focusing his attention on going to his family and the lost. He’s been busy recording my teaching DVD’s in Spanish and sending them out to people. And many have watched them and said they have woken them up to the apostasy in the world, and given them a desire to reach the lost world with the right Bible and the right Gospel.
IRMA CORRAL
Joel sent Irma (a distant member of his family) my DVD about what the Bible has to say about Roman Catholicism. She loved it, and tracked me down and called me on the phone. She told me of her conversion and how God freed her from the Jehovah Witness sect and gave her eternal life. She says she now has a great open door to witness to J.W.’s and asked me if I had any more teaching videos in Spanish. I told her I did (about 11 of them), and she was ecstatic that one of my videos talked about the history and the errors of the Jehovah Witness movement. She said she would copy it and give it out far and wide, as her heart bleeds for the lost J.W.’s in her community, who she desperately wants to see saved. She also wants to make a special trip to Mexico to reach her family. Please pray for her, and that God would use her in a mighty way to reach them with the truth.
PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD
We’ve also heard from a Pastor in Argentina, who said he has looked far and wide for the pure word of God in Spanish, and was happy to find it. He called and we talked for several hours, and he said the Valera 1602 Purified was the pure word of God, and he appreciated our telling others about it. I’ve also heard from people in Germany, Finland, Norway, and other countries who have visited my website and said they have read the 1602 Purified and it speaks to them in a mighty way. They all encourage me to continue getting the pure word of God out to others, which we will continue to do.
THE MODERN GOMEZ BIBLE
These last two months, I’ve heard a lot about the modern Gomez Bible, and how it’s being put out now by Chick Publications. Many have asked me what I think about it. I tell them all to read my book at:
www.rrb3.com/mypub/books/truth_about_gomez.htm
Those who’ve read it have said it explained a lot about that new version, and it’s recent popularity. For those who don’t know, it’s no longer called the 2004 Gomez, but is now the RVG 2010. (Note: RVG stands for Reina-Valera Gomez). This is the fifth edition of that version, which claims to be based 100% on the pure texts rather than the critical texts. Our Valera 1602 Purified, which came out before that version, is also based 100% on the pure texts. The difference is the RVG 2010 uses many 1960 Spanish words in its version, while our Valera 1602 Purified goes back directly to the original 1569 Reina, the 1602 Valera, the KJV, and many other Protestant Spanish Bibles.
To put this into perspective, the Gomez would be the equivalent in English of taking the New King James Bible and correcting it with the pure texts; while the 1602 Purified would be going back to the original KJV and other Bibles around that time and purifying them with the pure texts. Now, I know the KJV has no errors whatsoever. But the original 1569 and 1602 did, and for this reason they needed to be purified. That’s what’s been done in the Valera 1602 Purified! However, as one studies, reads, and scrutinizes the new Gomez Spanish Bible, it’s clear that those behind it changed a lot of words to match the modernistic and ecumenical 1960 Spanish Bible, which supposedly those behind the Gomez are against. Why use words that match that version? Some, like myself, believe its so that those who use the 1960 will change to the RVG version quicker. One question I like to ask is, “Did God wait 400 years to give the Spanish Speaking world Mr. Gomez so that he could give them the right word? Or did the right word exist already for 400 years in the original 1569 and 1602, and now in the 1602 Purified?” I think you know the answer.
So once again, we find our stand for truth has made us unpopular as we refuse to change to the modern Gomez Bible, which so many fundamentalists are flocking to in droves. (Most of which we find are English Speaking Pastors and Missionaries, and not native Spanish Speakers).
As we receive feedback from Spanish-Speaking people, we see they too don’t like the Gomez, saying things like, “It reads a lot like a modern newspaper instead of like the beautiful old Castellan Spanish of Reina and Valera.” And, “The Gomez just doesn’t have that flavor of Reina-Valera, sounding too modern in it’s wordage!”
Knowing we will never be popular, we continue forward standing for truth instead of standing with the crowd. Because, since when has the majority ever been right? We also know how difficult it is to feel like no one else cares and no one else is behind you, as many choose the most popular version, instead of the purest and closest to the original Reina-Valera). But we are trying to get the word out. Won’t you help us do the same? (Check out my website address below for more info about the Spanish Bible).
Thanks again for all your continued prayers and support as we continue to preach the truth,
Robert and Laura Beth and Emma Lee Breaker

A Little Something Extra to Mull Over
You know we live in very weird times. Times in which Preachers love to devour one another and attack each other without pity. It’s hard for me to believe someone can say they are a Christian, but then not manifest the fruits of the Spirit. But in the times in which we live, there are many preachers who with hatred and malice attack others who are serving God just as they are. These things ought not so to be, but in the day in which we live, many believe they must defend their positions with harsh words, rather than with grace seasoned with salt (Col. 4:6). And oftentimes, these same men are quick to bark against others who are not members of their political religious group, just because that person is not a part of their “click.” It’s sad, but it’s how many a preacher has grown accustomed to express himself, and it’s become the norm in modern Christianity.
Below I’d like to give you an example of this in a letter I received in July. A man whom I used to respect greatly (whom I wish to leave anonymous) wrote me several dirty letters accusing me of many things that weren’t true. In my final letter to him I wrote the following quote from George Mueller, and my letter was returned to me with his hostile hand-written response:
It’s sad this man only wanted to “attack” instead of make amends. And sadder still what he actually wrote. For I looked up the terms “character” and “reputation” in the Webster’s 1828 dictionary, and they mean basically the same thing. So, why fight over such a silly thing? And why call a man a fool? I’ve come to the conclusion that some men just want to be mean for meanness’ sake.
Would you please make it a point not to practice the same? No wonder so many lost people don’t want to get saved. They see Christians like this, and think, “If that’s how Christians speak, I don’t want to be one of them!”
Please don’t only walk like a Christian, but also talk like one as well! My Daddy used to say, “There is simply no substitute for clear and effective communication!” Why can’t men discuss things without arguing? And why can’t they use the scriptures to prove their arguments instead of just giving their opinions and calling names? Let’s practice, “Be ye kind one to another” (Eph. 4:32), lest we forget 1 Peter 4:8-10:
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
1 Pet 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
A Little Something Else to Think About
I’ve taken a lot of flack over the years for my saying that I think it’s possible that there are a lot of lost people in our churches today. Some have even accused me of trying to “retread” people (a term that’s not found in the Bible), as I preach salvation by faith alone in the BLOOD ATONEMENT of Jesus Christ without works, and preach against trying to get a person to trust in their own prayer made to God. (I like to show the difference between trusting in one’s PRAYER, what they’ve done, and in trusting Christ’s PROPITIATION, what He’s done for us).
It’s fine with me if people get angry with me. I’ve learned how to take it. And I’ve learned the importance of saying something about it, as most people just want to leave it alone and sweep it under the rug. There are some things that just need to be said! Especially in our day and age of apostasy in which many heresies are confounding the masses and leaving people confused (and God is not the author of confusion!).
It baffles me that so many pastors think that just because a person goes to church means they are saved. They must be very naive to believe this, for even Jesus had one devil among his twelve disciples!
With this in mind, I thought I’d give you the words of Dr. Bob Jones Sr., from a sermon he preached in 1946, entitled, “What is a Christian?” It’s an amazing sermon, and something worthy of provoking us to thought, for in these last days, I’m sure there a still a lot of people out there who are lost, and need to hear the Gospel, yea, even in our own churches!
Quote from Bob Jones Sr.
“...I tell you frankly, after having preached the Gospel in most of the states of the Union, I do not believe 50 percent of the church members are really Christians. You can live in what you call a Christian country and not be a Christian. I will tell you something else. You can join the church, be baptized, and take communion, yet not be a Christian. It is possible to stand in the pulpit and preach and not be a Christian. I think I know more preachers than any man my age in this country, as I have spent nearly my entire life in association with ministers. I believe the majority of our preachers are godly, unselfish, consecrated men of God, but nobody would tell you that every preacher in America is a saved man! You can go to church every Sunday and sing in the choir, you can read your Bible every day and say your prayers, yet still not be a Christian. You can have a Christian father and mother and still be unsaved...I hope while I am talking you will search your heart and ask yourself these questions solemnly: 'Have I ever really been convicted of my sin? Have I really and truly repented? Have I been converted? Have I been born again? I realize that is a serious thing for me to stand here and talk to you about this subject. I am dealing with your soul. This job is more serious than the job of any surgeon in an operation room with his patient under an anesthetic. The surgeon deals with the human body. I am dealing with the immortal souls. I can't afford to make a mistake. A preacher may be perfectly honest and yet give the wrong directions to a lost soul...I am going to make [it] simple so you can understand...The thing upon which you rely for salvation, that is your religion. Some men rely upon one thing, some upon another. Your RELIGION is no stronger than your RELIANCE. A Christian is a person who, knowing that he is insufficient in himself, that he is helpless and undone, and that he cannot save himself, relies upon Jesus Christ and His atoning blood alone for salvation. That's a Christian! He doesn't rely upon himself; he doesn't rely upon his morality; he doesn't rely upon his religion; he doesn't rely upon his church membership. He doesn't partly rely upon any of those things. He relies absolutely, unconditionally, and unreservedly upon Jesus Christ!...Nothing but the blood of Jesus will do for a dying man.”
Notice once again this was in 1946 when Bob Jones said he didn’t believe that 50% of church members he met were truly saved. Here we are over 50 years later, and the world is much more wicked. I wonder what the percentage is now?
If only more people who sat in church pews would get saved, then we could really have some revival in this country! How about you? Are you saved? Why not? And if you are a Pastor, why not preach the blood atonement more powerfully and boldly, and see if some folks in your church are really trusting it alone for salvation. The world is getting worse, but the rapture is nigh! Still, I wonder how many will truly be “left behind.”
Some Feedback we Received in July and August

Dear Brother Breaker,
Christians suffer from the same problem regular folks do. I call it the country club syndrome. They still want the polished shoes, the pressed crease in the pants, etc. If you ever wonder why the Gomez is prospering it is because God lets man do whatever he wants and he wants very little of the holy word of God. What he wants more is social standing. Our independant Baptist friends have some of that uptown church blood still in them. Those who won't play the game are as the offscouring of this world. I pray fervently every day for you and Laura that he will encourage and use you, as you are really the ONLY ones DOING IT for the millions of Spanish speakers. You don't know how important you two are in this World War III in the heavenlies.

Dear Mr. Breaker,
I also have found that God is never with the majority, and whenever you are doing what is right and true, the rest attack you vehemently. Very interesting, because the RVG has all the popular support, and the name of a man on it. But, I totally agree: we must all study for our self, or we will have no experience with the Truth.
So, please tell me, why are gentlemen like Mr. Gomez, and Mr. McArdle, who could benefit and help the translation work greatly as well as benefit themselves so against you and the 1602P? I appreciate their work as far as it goes, but it seems they are attacking you. Can you give me your opinion of why everyone cannot work together on the translation?

Today I was teaching in my Church about the corrupted versions of the Bible. I have a PDF version in my computer of Valera 1602 Purificada and while coming back home I was thinking about to look if a printed copy would be available, and I found your web site offering hard copies! We would like to have available copies for every person in our local Church to start. Please let me know the price and how to send the money. You are doing a wonderful service. The hard work and all the time your Church invested in this exceptional job will bring many fruit. Thank you very much!
Prov. 30:5 Toda palabra de Dios es pura; él es escudo a los que en él confían.
God bless you!

We also received a phone call from a Missionary to Mexico in July that visited us in our house in Alabama a year or so ago. He wanted to look at all my Spanish Bibles, and get more information about which Bible in Spanish is the right one. On the phone, he told me (and I paraphrase), “I’ve been studying long and hard and trying to come to a decision on which Bible to use as I go to Mexico as a Missionary. Should I use the one everyone else seems to be going to (the Gomez) or should I use the one that’s the best Spanish Bible, and the most scholarly work which is closer to the original 1569 and 1602? After much study, I’ve come to the conclusion the Valera 1602 Purified is the best, and I’ve chosen to use it! And as soon as I did, the persecution started from many Fundamentalists. But I’ve chosen to go with FACTS rather than FOLLOW the crowd!”
NEED FOR MORE BIBLES:
The end of June and first of July, a church in Chile contacted me wanting to print 20,000 copies of our Valera 1602 Purified Spanish Bible, for distribution in that country. I quickly gave them permission. What a blessing! We do need more printed for ourselves though, as we continually receive orders and requests for more, as we try to get them out to Spanish Speaking People. Please pray we might get the funds needed to print more soon.
