Welcome! Here you will find all of my prayer letters written ever since I started the ministry as a Missionary to Honduras, and then as I now am as a Missionary to the Spanish-Speaking People of the Americas. We hope to update this with our current prayer letter that we send out every two months.

January 2006

Dear Fellowlabourers in Christ Jesus our Lord,

Greetings in this New Year of 2006!  I hope this prayer letter finds you walking in the joy of the Lord, as well as rejoicing in knowing we are one year closer to the glorious appearing of our Great God and Saviour Jesus Christ!  Surely it won’t be long now till the Lord shall call us home to Glory.  This could be the year!

Our House Sold

The New Year has already brought some ups and downs.  We were told on the third that we would have to move from the house we’re renting, as the owner sold the place to another.  However, God worked it out and it looks as though the new owner wants us to stay and continue renting.  Thus, we’re thankful we won’t have to move any time soon.

Moving Services

However, we lost our building in Quebrada de Lajas.  The landlord we are renting from kicked us out.  We now are praying for another place to meet, and will probably end up having services in people’s houses until we can find another building.  Please pray for God’s leading and direction in this matter.

Making Sacred Vows

The sixth I had the pleasure of taking Ernesto Neftali Sanchez and Alfa Oliva down to the Mayor’s office to get them married.  They’re saved, and have been coming to services for some time.  They already have five children, four of which I’ve led to the Lord and baptized.  It was a blessing to the whole church to finally see them tie the knot!

Souls Saved!

Services at my house are going well.  On the seventh, twelve-year-old Jose Angel Lorenzo accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Saviour at our Saturday night Youth meeting!
The very next day we had five young people saved after Sunday Evening Service.  I gave my testimony and then gave an invitation.  The following came forward and trusted the precious shed blood of Jesus Christ to save their souls: nine-year-old Brian Josue Gonzalez, seven-year-old Cintia Abagail Meza, nine-year-old Iris Mabel Meza, eight-year-old Nancy Johanna Lopez, and ten-year-old Jenny Mabel Lopez.

Returning Safely

Missionary Mike Lane and his wife Debbie returned from furlough in the U.S. on the nineteenth.  It’s good to have them back as I’ve been wearing myself out preaching for him and continuing his building project.
I’ve been so worn out here with so much to do!  But as one preacher once told me, “I’d rather wear out than rust out for the Lord!”

Summary

So as you can see it’s been an interesting beginning to a New Year!  We may have lost our meeting place in Quebrada de Lajas, but we are happy to have six new souls that we will meet in heaven!!!  It’s also a blessing to see a couple start out the new year on the right foot in getting married for their Christian Testimony’s sake!

Thanks again for all your continued prayer and support!

Because of Christ Jesus our Lord,
