Dear Blood Bought Fold of God,
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
- Ephesians 3:20,21
Greetings from Honduras! So much has happened these two months, it’s hard to know where to begin! God has blessed us exceeding abundantly more than we could have imagined! We’ve traveled, passed out tracts, seen souls led to Jesus Christ, and have been even more excited in seeing church members, that we’ve been teaching, winning souls as well! God is good and is doing a great work here in Honduras!
SOUL SAVED
On March 19th, I had the privilege of winning Valeria Alejandra Sanchez to Christ Jesus. She came forward after service and said, “I want to get saved!” Her sister was saved here a few years ago, and they are now the only saved people in their family. (Please pray their siblings and parents will trust Christ as well).
TRUCK SOLD
On March 21st, we sold our 4x4 Toyota Pickup truck. I hated to do so, as it’s been such a blessing in the ministry, especially on the mountainous roads. But Mr. Manuel Girón offered me such an excellent price for it, I couldn’t say, “No.” We still have my 4x4 Suburban and we are now using that for our ministry vehicle.
BELIZE SIGHTSEEING
March 30th to April 4th we flew to Belize to see Laura’s parents. They were traveling on a Cruise Ship that stopped in Belize City for a day. We met them at the docks and had a great time of fellowship together!
The rest of our stay, we walked all over Belize City passing out hundreds of English tracts (as English is the national language there), as well as a few Spanish ones. Things in Belize are very expensive! A plate of food costs between ten and twenty American dollars!
On Sunday we visited the local Baptist Church. There, we found a lot of confused people. Many gave their testimonies, claiming they were saved just because they went to church, or because they were living right. It was sad to see so many people thinking they were saved by their works. I’m convinced that Belize needs good Missionaries!
OUR RENTAL HOUSE SOLD
The house we are renting in La Esperanza, Intibucá, Honduras has been sold. The new owner told us we have to move before the end of the year. I’m contemplating a brief furlough because of this, and also because we have some business to attend to in the States. Please contact me if you’re interested in us visiting you the end of this year or beginning of next. The other Missionary here leaves for a several month furlough next February, and he said we could stay in his house while he’s gone, filling in for him. This would help us, and save us having to find a new house until next April or May.
CHURCH MEMBER SOULWINNING!
The work at my house is going well. I’m teaching and preaching when the other Missionary goes away. I also teach Saturday night Youth Meetings. I’ve been showing the teenagers how to win souls. And on April 8th, Marisol Lorenzo came back telling me she won her 16 year old aunt, Julia Lorenzo, to the Lord. What a blessing!
Several of the other young people are witnessing and come back each week telling about how they’ve testified to their classmates and friends. Please pray for others to be saved.
SATURDAY VISITATION
We have a group of young ladies from the “Casa Hogar” Girl’s Home here in La Esperanza coming to service. It is run by native Honduran Arlin Padilla, who takes care of the girls and gives them a place to stay so they can go on to higher education. The girls are not orphans, but are all from poor works in the mountains. They are students who have finished their schooling there, but have no where to go to continue their studies. (In the mountains, schooling is only available up to the sixth grade). Arlin, gives them a place to stay and helps them with the costs to finish their education.
She is also teaching them Bible, and how to win souls, and they go with us Soulwinning every Saturday . On April 22nd, we saw three people saved. Their names were Juana, 25, Erlin, 20, and Celenia, 28, and they were all won by girls from this home.
April 29th we saw another three saved. They were Concepción Gomez, 45 and her husband Jose Juan Ramos, 50, and Marcos Antonio Meza, 22.
SEEING OLD CONVERTS
April 25th we visited Nelson and Zenia. They called me several weeks ago and asked me to visit them. They are doing much better than before and Nelson has a much higher paying job. They also have a new baby, but still haven’t gotten married. Please pray for them, that they’ll finally tie the knot.
They want me to teach them Bible, but they live so far away (in Tegucigalpa). I hope to take them some Christian workbooks that they can do on their own.
So that’s the news from afar for March and April 2006. Thanks again for all your prayers and support. May God richly bless you as you continue to serve him of a pure heart! I’ll leave you with a poem I wrote a few months ago. I hope it’s a blessing to you.

1 Samuel 12:24!
How Can I?
By ROBERT BREAKER
How can I hate Him,
When he loved me so?
How can I forsake Him,
When he tells me, “Go!”?
How can I shun Him,
When he gave his all on Calvary?
How can I not love Him,
When he shed his blood for even me?
How can I forget Him,
When I’m always on His mind?
How can I renounce Him,
When He’s always been so kind?
How can I abuse Him,
When he’s suffered all my pain?
How can I desert Him,
When to die for Him is gain?
And, how can I displease Him,
When his grace abideth strong?
How can I but love Him,
When he put up with me for so long?
Yes, how can I be in Him,
When I at times I seem so far away?
And, how, O how, can I persuade Him,
To come for me today?
Easter service 2006 at my House!
