Welcome! Here you will find all of my prayer letters written ever since I started the ministry as a Missionary to Honduras, and then as I now am as a Missionary to the Spanish-Speaking People of the Americas. We hope to update this with our current prayer letter that we send out every two months.

July - August 2009

And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.  And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.  Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.    (1 John 5:19-21)

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus our great and blessed Lord,

It cannot be denied that our world is in a mess today both physically and spirituallyHatred, crime, apathy, deception, piracy, and immorality are rampant everywhere, and things don’t look to be getting better any time soon.
What’s worse is the church doesn’t even seem to be making a positive impact on society, rather it is part of the problem.  Yet, it brags of doing more and spending more for the cause of Christ.  So why aren’t things getting better?   There are more fundamentalist churches in the world today, more missionaries, and more soul winners.  So why isn’t there more revival in the world than any other time in history?  Something is terribly wrong!
Those of you who know your Bible, realize we are at the end of the church age, in a time of utter apostasy, right before Jesus returns.  Jesus prophesied this would happen, so it should be no surprise to us. But it is disappointing.
Even the once great Independent Baptist movement is swelling with apostasy, and is almost to the point of doing more harm than good.  While most dogmatically claim to be Bible Believers, it’s apparent very few are even Bible Readers, as the majority are departing from sound Bible doctrine to embrace worldly teachings, secular psychology, and modern man-made programs, instead of good, old-fashioned Holy Ghost preaching.
The Christian world has its parallel in the political world, where people are waking up to the rampant corruption in our governing body.  They have grown despondent with the old traditional parties who are making things worse instead of better, and this has given rise to what the news media is calling Independents.  I pray the same will soon happen in the modern fundamentalist movement, as the old factions seems to be getting worse instead of better, bragging upon themselves, rather than our Lord Jesus.  What we need are some Independent, Independent Baptists!
As we watch the ridiculous spectacle before us in both the church and the world, we find it easy to get discouraged.  But as we read our Bible, we realize the reason for all this confusion is a unified hatred for truth (2 Thes. 2:10), and a growing love of darkness (John 3:19).
Thus, we’ve determined ever so much the more to get madder, preacher harder, and reach farther as we point sinners to the right gospel, the right mode of living, and the right Bible.  I firmly believe the rapture is close, and we look forward to going home shortly!  But we also desire to go out with a bang, and pray you’ll be encouraged to do the same!

PASSING OUT TRACTS

The fourth of July, Laura and I took our baby Emma with us to the fireworks celebration in East Brewton.  There, we passed out over 600 tracts.  As we walked closer to the secular music at the park, we noticed an interesting thing.  The closer to the loud festivities, the more people rejected our tracts, and the father away from the rock music, the less people rejected them.  I guess that goes to show you the influence worldly music has on people!

PREACHING IN JAIL

I preached in a jail in Brewton, Alabama on July 14th with a local pastor.  Afterwards, a young black man came up and said, “I bunk with a Muslim, and he keeps attacking me.  He says Jesus isn’t God, and he keeps asking me to show him a verse that says He isCan you show me a verse like that?
I then showed him Acts 20:28, John 20:28, 1 John 5:20, and more.
He replied excitedly, “Oh, that’s good!  I can’t wait to show him these!  These will tear him up!”
It’s great to see people excited about the word of God!

PRESENTING THE GOSPEL TO LOST MEXICANS

While not on the road preaching in meetings, we’ve been attending a good Bible Believing church in Brewton, Alabama.  One Sunday evening after church, someone backed into our car in the parking lot, and left several dents.  They offered to fix it.  And, I took it into town for several estimates.

While turning the car over to a local body shop for repair, I met another local pastor, and introduced myself as a Missionary Evangelist to Spanish Speaking People.  He told me about some Hispanic people he knew just up the street, so Laura and I went there and knocked on the door.  We found three Mexicans watching the rodeo on T.V., and I asked if I could come in and preach to them.  They let me do so.  For more than twenty minutes, I preached my heart out in Spanish, and stressed their need to be saved.  But, they all agreed they weren’t ready, so I left them tracts and New Testaments.  Please pray for their salvation.  I plan to visit them again.
As we left, I came across another Hispanic fellow.  I gave him a tract, and he replied, “Oh, the scriptures.  Thank you.  But I have this…
He then pulled out a rosary.  How sad he was trusting in his vain repetitions, instead of in Jesus Christ alone.
I then responded, “That’s not the same as the scriptures!  You need to read the scriptures,” and I pointed at the tract.  He seemed a little tipsy, so I asked him to put the tract in his pocket and read it later.  He did so, and assured me he’d read it.  Please pray he’d trust Christ as his Saviour.

PAPERWORK TO THE COUNTY COURTHOUSE

Our on-going battle with the Alabama Vital Statistics Office over acquiring our baby’s birth certificate has been anything but easy, and has kept us from traveling out of the country.  And because we can’t afford a lawyer, we have had to do all the paperwork ourselves pro se, which has been an interesting experience.
As most of you know, we had Emma Lee Juliet at home, on Dec. 10th of last year.  We immediately started the necessary paperwork, and mailed it in.  The government bureaucrats, who are against home birth anyway, said they would not accept our witnesses, and we’ve been battling them ever since.  We even contacted our congressman and state representative, and they helped get things rolling.  The state health attorney of Alabama caught wind of our adversity and called us to tell us what paperwork we needed to file in order to have a judge hear our case.
The end of July we submitted the Affidavit of Hardship with the county court clerk, and petitioned a hearing with a local judge.  That might sound easy enough, but it was a load of paperwork, and a lot of hassle.  But our paperwork was approved, and we were delighted to hear we would not have to pay any court costs!  However, instead of setting a date for our hearing, as the law says they were supposed to, they are dragging their feet.  The excuse is, “Well, you know the judicial system.  It’s anything but fast!
So now we are in limbo, waiting for a court date and the opportunity to present all our evidence to a judge that Emma is indeed our child, and was born at our home in Alabama.  Please pray for this trying and excruciating ordeal to be over soon!

PLANS FOR THE FUTURE

We’re getting several calls from Honduras asking us to come and preach.  One pastor in particular, Bro. Florentino Aguilar, has asked us to come and visit four new villages he’s recently entered into preaching the Gospel.  He wants us to give teaching sessions, do door-to-door evangelism, teach on how to win souls, and more.
Pastor Alexis Flores in Guaimaca, Honduras, wants us to preach a week long revival in his area, and Missionary Erick Sanchez wants us to preach several teaching conferences in the mountains around Intibucá, Honduras.
Please pray we can get our baby’s birth certificate, and passport soon, so we can set up a time to go there and do these things.  This is a wide open door!

PRINTING

After our last prayer letter with the tract we wrote on “tongues,” we received a letter from a pastor who wanted two hundred more.  We were thrilled, and gladly printed them and sent them out.
We are enclosing a new tract we’ve printed lately entitled, “BIBLICAL WORDS OF SALVATION.”  This is one of my favorites.  I hope it’s a blessing.  More are available if you so desire to order them.

A PERSONAL NOTE OF ENCOURAGMENT

The end of August we received a phone call from Gail Riplinger (author of New Age Bible Versions).  We talked for some time, and she greatly encouraged us by telling us she appreciated our ministry and strong stand for the word of God in Spanish.
She also stated in her estimation I was: “The foremost authority on the Spanish Bible,” and said she liked my book about the problems in the modernistic Gomez Spanish Bible version.
She later sent us a complementary copy of her new book entitled, “Hazardous Materials: Greek and Hebrew Study Dangers: The Voice of Strangers: The Men behind the Smokescreen Burning Bibles.”
It does an awesome job of exposing the men behind lexicons and false bible versions as cross-dressers, sĂ©ance attenders, social drinkers, occultists, and followers of Madam Blavatsky.  I highly recommend you to get a copy!  She even endorses our Spanish Bible Version in her chapter on foreign language translations!

POSTING VIDEO ON YOUTUBE

We’ve been trying to figure out ways to reach more people with the truth about the Spanish Bible and why both the 1865 and the modernistic Gomez aren’t perfect, and why our 1602 Purified Spanish Bible is the best.  We finally came to the realization that since so many people look up YouTube© that it’d be a great place to present the facts.  So we taped a brief video presenting facts about the Spanish Bible, which we will be posting soon.
A special thanks to Jeff Johnson for buying us a video camera with easy upload to YouTube©.  More videos about the Spanish Bible in both English and Spanish will be posted soon, as we desire to flood the internet with information on the Right Spanish Bible, especially now with such a weighty endorsement from Gail Riplinger.

PERUSING A DVD ABOUT THE DATE OF THE SECOND ADVENT

Several months ago a friend sent me a DVD by a pastor entitled: Daniel’s Timeline.  His teachings focus on God’s calendar, and in the course of his presentation he gives some compelling evidence of when he thinks the Second Advent might be.  We’ve included a copy of this DVD for you in this prayer letter, but with the following disclaimer:  The views and ideas expressed in this DVD do not necessarily reflect our teachings.  Nor do we endorse the speaker, as we don’t know much about him.
So few Christians practice discernment nowadays, and we thought it’d be worthwhile for you to discern this video for yourself.  I’ve watched it several times, and it gives me a great sense of urgency (something I believe is truly missing in Christian circles), and strengthens my faith in the word of God, and the promise of His soon appearing.  We hope it might be a blessing to you as well, as you discern the truths presented in his video.

A PERSONAL TESTIMONY OF FAITH

With this prayer letter, which is already lengthy and accompanied by a tract and DVD, we also want to give you a word of testimony from a lady in Mississippi.  This is an older word of testimony from several years ago, but none the less important.  It’s from a young lady who read our tract on “THE BLOODLESS GOSPEL” and was saved because of it.  I hope it’s a blessing to you, and if you’re not saved, you’ll put your complete faith in the SHED BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST, just as the lady who writes to us did!

Because life isn’t worth living unless we’re serving our Lord Jesus Christ,

            Robert and Laurabeth Breaker
            1 Sam. 12:24!

LETTER FROM THE LADY IN MISSISSIPPI:

“Dear Mr. Breaker,

My name is (_______) and I am from (_______), Mississippi.  I am writing this letter to express to you how thankful I am to have had the opportunity to read your tracts on faith, justification, and the blood-less gospel.  They were so helpful to me in a time of great struggle.
I began struggling with my salvation nearly a year ago.  My entire life I was raised in church, had a good Christian family, and I was even a member of my high school’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  I knew a lot about Jesus and the Bible, and trusted Him to help along the way in high school, and also in college.  Never during my 20 years had it ever occurred to me that I was not saved.  I was basing all of this on the fact that around the age of seven I made a profession of faith.  I had never doubted for one minute that I was not saved.  However, during a visit to my grandparents’s house…last Thanksgiving, my eyes were opened to the fact that I may not be saved.  I honestly could not answer the question about where I was going when I died.  The unassurance I had about this fact was making my life miserable.  I was constantly overwhelmed with thoughts of how terrible Hell would be.  I was losing sleep, I couldn’t eat, and I couldn’t understand why I didn’t know for sure that I was going to Heaven.  Christmas vacation was not much of one for me since I was having anxiety attacks and problems with depression.  I had never experienced anything like this before, but I knew exactly what was causing it…
In talking to one of my friends on a Monday night, I realized that I was not saved.  So I set out to get saved that night.  She read to me from Romans and I said the sinner’s prayer.  When I left that night I felt pretty good, but the next day, I was miserable again.  I was plagued with questions like, “Did I pray that prayer right,” or “Was I sincere enough?
I would temporarily ease these fears with answers like, “I asked Jesus to come into my heart, and if I ask, He will come.  For a while this would help, but I was still having my doubts.”
During this time, I talked to my preacher at my family’s home church, the leader of the Baptist Student Union on my college campus, many friends, and family.  However I still could not get the answers that I needed.  All along I had been reading the Bible, hoping that I would be able to see the truth in some specific verse.  I knew I was on the right track…
…While talking to my granddaddy during the visit, he gave me the copies of your tracts to read as well.  I read them while I was there, and then brought them home to Mississippi.  I read them each time I had a question (that was sometimes three or four times a day).  It was all becoming more clear to me, that salvation is a gift.  Although I knew the scriptures, I was still trying to figure out what I had “to do” or “how much” I had to believe in order to be saved.  I was also beginning to realize the reason I had not gotten saved that night with my friend was because I was putting my trust in the prayer and my sincerity.  I was not putting my trust in what Jesus had already done for me.
In reading your tracts…it helped me to be able to give a positive, doubt free answer to the question, “Am I sure I am going to heaven with I die?  My answer is a strong 100% YES!  I am going to heaven because Jesus died for me!  It is so easy to trust in someone who is so trustworthy.  I am not going to Heaven because of anything I have done.  I am going because of what He has done.
This experience also taught me that there are a lot of people who are lost and on their way to Hell.  There was not a single person at school who told me that doubting was unacceptable.  This is such a scary truth.  There are many people who honestly believe they are going to Heaven.  Yet none of these professing Christians told me the reason I doubted was because I was lost.  Some of them even told me that it was okay to doubt.  Now I want to reach out to these people.  I believe that my experiences should be shared with as many people as possible, and that is exactly what I intend to do.
…He is so gracious and so merciful.  He gave me chance after chance.  He was watching out for me, even when I was not saved, and PRAISE THE LORD, now I am in His hand FOREVER!  It is the most wonderful feeling in the world to know beyond any doubts that Heaven is my eternal home.  I thank God that he sent your messages my way.  They were so helpful in my biggest time of need.  Thank you so much for sharing the truth with me.  Now I am excited to go share it with others.

            Your Sister in Christ”

MY BRIEF COMMENT ON THIS TESTIMONY

This exciting testimony does a great job of showing one of the greatest problems in modern Christianity today!  As a child, she was raised in church and reared by Christian parents.  She even made a profession at an early age.  But her profession was not possession.
Many churches pressure a child to just repeat a prayer and then tell the child they are saved the rest of their lives because they did that.   This makes the sinner’s testimony based on what someone else told them.  And they usually spend their whole lives thinking they are going to heaven because someone else told them they are, not because they are trusting in Jesus alone who died in their place for their sins, shedding His blood on the cross of Calvary.
Often times, young people end up confused, and spend their lives doubting.  But instead of being pointed to Jesus, they are told to pray the sinner’s prayer all over again for assurance.  They then do this over and over, oftentimes several times a day, asking God to forgive them and give them eternal life.  But they never get true assurance, because they are trusting their PRAYER instead of trusting in Christ Jesus and His PRECIOUS shed blood.
If their first prayer doesn’t save them and give them assurance, why would they think the second, or third, or fourth prayer would?
It’s only when a person gives up trusting in his or her own righteousness, and trusts only in the righteousness of God that they are saved.
God dealt with this young lady and showed to her her lost condition.  She then turned from trusting her prayer to trusting Christ’s payment for her sins.  Now she’s saved, has assurance, and has a great desire to reach others!
Everyone claims to be a Christian nowadays, but why is it there is more sin in the world than ever before?  Could it be that many of those who claim to be Christians are like this young lady—trusting in what they SAID instead of resting in the precious blood God SHED?
I’ll let you decide.  But we thank God our tracts have been a blessing to others, and have led to other’s salvation, and have given them “Blessed Assurance” (as the old hymn says).

March - April 2009

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you.                 (1 Peter 1:3-4)

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus our Lord,

God is good, and his mercies endure for ever!  We are so pleased to have the privilege of serving Him, that our joy abounds without measure.  Unspeakable are the many blessings God has bestowed upon us in the past few months.  One of the greatest joys is our lovely daughter, who turned 4 months old on the tenth of April.  She is so cute, and her continual smiles remind us just how fortunate we really are!

PRESENTING THE WORK

As most of you know, we are on deputation again trying to raise more support for our ministry.  As we travel to different churches to present the work, we are also planning trips to Mexico, Honduras, and other places, as we continue on our missionary journeys, taking the Gospel with us where so ever we go.
In March and April, we were blessed to stay close to home with meetings in North Florida.  At one Missions conference, we experienced great fellowship, but not without grave sickness.  Christians truly share everything with one another, especially their colds and flus.  Laura, myself, and the baby fell ill almost two weeks with a fever and cough after the conference.  But we persevered and came through the stronger.  As the old saying goes, “Whatever doesn’t kill us, makes us stronger!

PRINTING MINISTRY UPDATE

Our support level is not as high as we’d like it, so we’ve learned to do as much as we can with what we do receive.  We also aren’t too proud to take handouts, hand me downs, or leftovers.  Frugality is our motto, thankfulness is our demeanor, and fidelity is our goal.
In March, Laura helped me build a small dark room out of leftover wood we had on the property from the previous owners.  We installed a floor and one wall.  We lack several walls before we can have our printing office ready to go.  We’ll then have to buy the plates, chemicals, ink, and paper for printing tracts on the machine that’s been donated to us the end of last year.  Until then, we are still using our old laser printer to print tracts and booklets, as we are still getting many requests for our literature in both English and Spanish.  Please pray we would be able to get our new printing press up and running soon.

PRECIOUS SOUL GETS SAVED!

It seems so hard to win souls in these last days.  So many people are completely enthralled in sinful depravity and worldly lusts, they want nothing of God, nor Christ’s blood atonement.  It seems the more you preach the Gospel, the less results you see.  But our job is not to look for results, rather to be faithful in pointing the lost and dying world to the cross of Calvary.
Soul winning is like catching fish.  When you are fishing, and you don’t catch anything, it’s not fun.  But when you are fishing, and you pull one up on the line, it can be an exciting time.  The only thing better is when you have a fish jump into the boat!  Well, the end of April, God tossed one right into my lap, as I checked my email and saw a letter from a twenty-seven-year-old man asking me to call him and tell him how to be saved.  I did, and we talked for over thirty minutes, as I gave him verses on salvation.  To make a long story short, he trusted the SHED BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST to save his never dying soul, right there over the telephone!  Afterwards, he had a concern for his wife, a lost Lutheran.  I then gave him a list of verses on how to win her to the Lord, and he said he’d show them to her.  Please pray she’d get saved as well.

CHRISTIAN POLITICS

I’ve always been an outsider ever since I was a kid, never really fitting in with any one group.  When I became a Christian, I was naĂŻve enough to think all Christians were alike, and each one loved the other with an undying love.  I never knew there were cliques and groups not only within Baptist churches, but even within the Independent Baptist movement itself.  Boy, did I have a lot to learn!
As most of you know, there are several big camps within the Independent Baptist movement, each one built upon a man (Bob Jones, Peter Ruckman, Jack Hyles, J. Frank Norris, etc.)  Usually, these camps only invite missionaries from their own camps in to their churches to present their work and preach.  But if they are all worshipping the same God, preaching the same Gospel, and standing firm on the same doctrines, shouldn’t they all work together?
Sadly, most independent Baptists are so firmly entrenched in their own camps, they will not even give those without their group the time of day. This is why on deputation, the most asked question of us by many pastors and missionaries is, “What camp are you in?
I enjoy answering: “We are without the camp with Jesus!” (See Hebrews 13:13 for further particulars).
Amidst this “groupism” mentality among Independent Baptists, it’s getting harder and harder to raise support as a missionary.  We are continually getting doors slammed in our faces, because we aren’t part of their secret society.  But our desire is not to be “groupies,” rather followers of Christ.  Christian society is not as important and Christian piety.
Please pray for us, as we not only battle the world, the flesh, and the devil, but we also are faced with Baptist discrimination.  This spiritual apartheid mentality can be discouraging at times, but we thank God for people like you who know our hearts, are interested in what we are doing, and share our desire in reaching the lost.

1602 PURIFIED

We continually receive emails from people who want a pure Spanish Bible.  As most of you know, our home church in Mexico has worked over 16 years on giving the Spanish-Speaking world a pure Spanish Bible, based upon the Textus Receptus and Hebrew Masoretic Texts, underlying the King James Bible.  We don’t only think our 1602 Purified is the best Spanish Bible, but are hearing many such claims from Spanish Speakers around the globe, emailing us their praises of our version.
Many of you might have heard of the new Reina-Valera Gomez bible coming out, competing with our 1602 Purified.  I’ve studied the Gomez extensively, and have written a brief treatise about that version and why our 1602 Purified is better.  To read it, go to:

            www.rrb3.com/mypub/books/truth_about_gomez.htm

Thanks again for all your continued prayers and support!

Because He shed His precious Blood for even us,

January - February 2009

Remember, O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach. Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens… We have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us.  Our necks are under persecution: we labour, and have no rest.  We have given the hand to the Egyptians... to be satisfied with bread.  Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities.                    (Lamentations 5:1-7)

     Dear fellow Prayer Warriors,

Well, maybe things in America aren’t quite as bad as the above verses portray, but they are surely headed that way.  As our government gives away all our money in “stimulus,” pushing the nation more into debt and economic ruin, it’s easy to see how Satan will soon deceive many into taking the mark of the beast.  Thankfully, the Bible promises the rapture of the church will come before that, so we won’t have to go through the tribulation period.  The worse it gets, the more we keep looking up (Luke 21:28), occupying until he comes (Luke 19:13), preaching, passing out tracts, and attempting to reach the lost and dying world for the cause of Christ!

PREACHING

The beginning of January, I preached in several churches in South Florida.  One of them was an all Spanish church.  The Pastor asked me to teach Sunday School on the subject of Marriage.  I did my best to show the type of Christ and the Church, and then stressed in marriage: men should sacrifice for their wives (as Christ did for the church), and women should serve their husbands, (as the church is supposed to do for Christ).  I then preached a message in the main service, giving a clear presentation of the Gospel.

GROWING  POPULATION

The recent election showed just how many Latinos live in the United States, most of them voting for the liberal candidates.  A conservative estimate is there are 35 million Hispanics in America.  But that number is probably closer to 50 million, according to other sources.
I’m sure you’ve all heard the rumors.  There is much talk about the Mexican government going under.  (Please pray for our safety when we visit there in June).  This means even more illegal immigrants will try to enter the U.S.  If this be the case, who will go and give them the gospel?  There is a great need to reach this growing Hispanic population with the Gospel of Christ.

PASSING  OUT  TRACTS

The King and Queen of Spain visited Pensacola, Florida on February 19th, in celebration of the 450th anniversary of the founding of the city under Spanish rule.  My wife and I took with us both English and Spanish tracts and passed them out to the over 5000 people in attendance.  We met some Spaniards as well.  I witnessed to them and gave them gospel literature.  They all claimed to be Catholic, but said they would read the material.
I tried to give a pure Spanish Bible (the 1602 Purified) to King Juan Carlos I, asking three different Secret Service agents if I could present the Bible to him.  They all gave an adamant, “No!
At least we tried.  Had we succeeded, it would have been the first time any non-catholic ever presented a Bible to the King of Spain based upon the pure reformation bible texts since 1543 (the Francisco de Enzinas N.T.).

POSTING A NEW WEBSITE

One thing I never wanted to do was learn how to set up a website.  I just knew it would be time consuming and frustrating (which it turned out to be).  But as many people have been contacting us via email asking questions about the Spanish Bible Issue, salvation, and more, I knew I had to catch up to the 21st century, and post a good website in both English and Spanish, in order to give our ministry a global outreach.  After three weeks of many 14 hour days, our new website is now finished, and can be visited at:  http://www.rrb3.com/.

November - December 2008

Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.   (Ps. 127:3)

            Greetings from the Breakers,

We pray God’s given you a very merry holiday season, and we hope you were faithful in telling others JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!
God’s been good to the Breaker family, as always, and has blessed us exceedingly abundant, above that which we could think or ask!

THE NEWEST MEMBER OF OUR FAMILY

December 10th, God blessed us with a baby girl, whom we named Emma Lee Juliet Breaker.  We had a water birth at home, and I was right there in the small plastic pool with Laura.  The baby came out with the cord wrapped around her neck twice, but thank God we were able to untangle it quickly.  Little Emma began breathing immediately, and is strong and healthy, weighing in at 7 pounds and 10 ounces.  Thanks for all your prayers during the pregnancy!

MAKING PLANS

We still receive many emails from people seeking a pure Spanish Bible.  We happily send them a 1602 Purified, along with information about the history of the Spanish Bible.  We’ve made many good contacts along the way, and now that our baby’s finally here, we can focus more attention on setting up meetings in the coming year, and raising more support in order to travel and do the work the Lord’s called us to do.  I plan to be on the phone for the next couple of months getting our calendar together (my least favorite part of the ministry).  If you know of anyone who’d be interested in inviting us in to preach a Mission’s conference, Spanish Bible Conference, Revival meeting, etc.  Please let us know.  (Our number in Alabama is 251 809 8581).

OUR NEW PRINTING PRESS AND PRINTING BIBLE INSERTS

A printing ministry in Gulfport, Mississippi donated us a printing press so we can print tracts and booklets in both English and Spanish.  Missionary helper Robert Warren picked the press up and brought it to us.  I’ve yet to figure out how to use it, but look forward to printing much Gospel material in the future in both English and Spanish.  (So we’ll be able to print material to take with us wherever God takes us!)
We are already getting orders for my booklets and tracts, and enjoy sending those out to people.  It’s almost a full time job just mailing out orders!
For years, I’ve printed small Bible Inserts on my Konica Laser printer, pasting them in the back of every Spanish and English Bible we give away.  They contain verses on how to win souls to Christ, as well as on Eternal Security.  (I enclosed some in this letter).  Imagine if you will, a very pregnant Laura and I cutting these out and pasting them in every 1602 Purified Spanish Bible we send out while waiting for our little one to be born.  That’s been our November and December, continually working in the ministry!

So God is blessing us as we continually serve him.  We thank you so much for your continued prayers and support!

Because He shed His precious Blood for even us,

            1 Sam. 12:24!

While reading about the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in the Gospels, (specifically Matthew 1:18-2:23 and Luke 2:1-24), I thought about how closely his first coming matches his second coming for us again at the Rapture. We know the Lord’s soon appearing draweth nigh. But these few comparisons prove his coming at the rapture is very close!

September - October 2008

Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:  Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.                                        (Col. 1:28,29)

            Dear saints of God,

We’ve been quite busy preaching, teaching, and encouraging others in the faith these last two months.  In early September, we drove to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and then flew to Honduras for two months till the end of October.

PASSING OUT A PURE SPANISH BIBLE AND FILMING

We took several boxes of 1602 Purified Spanish Bibles with us to Honduras, and were able to give them to different churches and pastors.  I also taught for more than five hours on the subjects of Manuscript Evidence, The History of the Spanish Bible, The History of the pure texts verses the critical texts, and Differences between Bible versions.  Laura videotaped these sessions in Spanish, so we can burn them to DVD, and pass them along to Spanish Speakers, educating them about the Spanish Bible Issue, and which Bible they should use.

THE WORKS IN HONDURAS

The works in Honduras are going well, and we praise God.  I preached in both the church in El Tejar (Iglesia Bautista Nueva Esperanza) and Quebrada de Lajas (Iglesia Biblica Bautista) every Sunday.  Lots of rain, during one of the rainiest rainy seasons on record, kept many from coming, but at least the faithful ones did not disappoint.

CONFERENCES IN THE MOUNTAINS

Missionary Erick Sanchez scheduled me to preach three conferences in different churches in the mountains.  September 26th-27th, I taught on the subject of Basic Bible Doctrines for New Believers, in the small village of Guascatoro, Lempira, Honduras.  Most were new Christians who recently left the Catholic church.  Many shared stories of persecution, as the small Catholic community continually scorns and ridicules them for embracing salvation by faith alone.
October 3rd, I visited the small town of San Nicholas, where I taught a one-day Soulwinning class.  Baptist pastors and laymen alike from various mountain works came and took notes.  After teaching eight hours, I preached an evangelistic meeting that evening.  Laura told me later, “Our baby must like to hear you preach!  He kicks a lot when you talk!
October 14th-15th, I drove five hours to the little village of Piraera, where I taught for two days on the subjects of The 7 Covenants, The Seven Dispensations, The Seven Thousand Years of Human History, and more.  Pastors and church members from the various mountain works attended and took notes.  Afterwards, I went to Pastor Odilio’s house and answered Bible questions for another two hours.

PREACHING A FUNERAL

October 9th, I preached my first funeral.  Maria Higenia Sanchez Chicas passed away the night before, and the family asked me to come to their house and preach a service in the evening before the viewing of the body.  Many lost family members heard me preach a Gospel message in front of the open coffin.  After it was over, a young lady came forward and took me by the hand and led me away from the crowd.  She then said, “I want to be saved!
Right there, I led her to the Lord from an open Bible!

TEACHING ABOUT THE SPANISH BIBLE ISSUE

Before leaving Honduras, Pastor Alex Vasquez in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, invited me to teach on the 26th of October for several hours on the subject of WHICH BIBLE SHOULD WE USE IN SPANISH?  His exact words were, “Queremos aprovechar tu visita y sacarte jugo doctrinal!(In English: “We want to take advantage of our visit and squeeze the doctrinal juice out of you!”)
I showed many examples of doctrinal errors in modern corrupt versions, and emphasized the need to have a pure Spanish Bible like our 1602 Purified.

When I preached for Pastor Alex on Tuesday night before flying back to the states on our midnight flight, he told me his neighbor used to be a Jehovah Witness.  So, Alex gave him my two-hour teaching DVD which exposed that false religion, and he has since left it, and has begun attending church.  He’s not yet saved, so please pray for his salvation.  What a blessing to see our DVD making such an impact!

So these last two months have been profitable.  Not only have we been preaching the gospel, passing out tracts, and trying to reach the lost, but we’ve also been active in equipping the saints of God with what they need to be able to do the same!  As always, thanks again for your continued prayers and support!  And please pray for Laura, as our baby’s due in December.

Only through His precious shed blood,

            Robert and Laurabeth Breaker III

SOMETHING EXTRA
One sheet of paper to write a prayer letter hardly seems enough. Especially with so much happening on the mission field. So I thought in this prayer letter, I’d tell a few stories that I normally wouldn’t be able to report in the few short lines which one page affords.

THE MAN WITH THE STICK
He responded, “My name is Reymundo, I’m the man in charge of this village, and this stick is the sign of my authority. We have no police out here so far away, so every three years a man is voted on to carry the stick, the sign of power. If any man attacks me or my stick, he goes to jail for ten years. With the stick, I tell people what to do. I usually have them clear land, or fix the roads. I visit them three times, and if they refuse my will, I have the power to fine them for disobedience.
His story reminded me immediately of Jesus ruling and reigning according to Revelation 19:15: “And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”
Instead of a wooden rod, our Lord will rule with a rod of iron! It’s interesting REYMUNDO means KING OF THE WORLD. But how grand that my Saviour Jesus Christ is KING OF KINGS and LORD OF LORDS!
LOVE OFFERINGS
But, of their own heart, many people have given us all sorts of things. Mostly, they are quick to offer a meal. I’ve savoured some of the greatest meals of my life while sitting in small adobe shacks with dirt floors. Tortillas, refried beans, white cheese, and rice, are some of my favorite foods, especially when cooked with love.
On our trip to the mountains the end of September, after teaching for eight hours, I visited the pastor’s brother. We talked for a while, and he told me, “I really appreciate your coming all the way out here to teach and preach!
Before leaving, he gave us a live chicken. I held it while he tied the feet, and Laura took it to the church and tied it to her seat while I preached the evangelistic evening service. We took it back to our lodging that evening, and it even gave us an offering of its own two or three times in the back seat! (I’ll let you figure that out for yourself!)
In San Nicholas, the ladies of the church made coffee for us all. During short breaks, we drank our fill of the rich mountain brew with the consistency of used motor oil, full of grounds on the bottom of the mug. I made a remark that I liked the coffee, and that set things in motion. The next day, the pastor’s wife brought us two pounds of freshly ground, home-grown mountain coffee, so rich it looked like top soil. (I kept shaking it looking for worms!)
Laura made it for me for the next month, every other day or so. I’ve never had better coffee in my life! And boy did it have a kick!

A THOUSAND QUESTIONS
Missionary Erick Sanchez and I spoke about this, and how many times it takes years, even decades to plant a church in the area, because the people are so reserved and withdrawn.
For this reason, both Erick and I were surprised when after I taught in each conference in the mountains, those present had question after question. They ranged from, “If I was married in a catholic church before I was saved, am I still married?” to the more profound, “Is Barack Obama the Antichrist?
I answered their questions according to the Bible, and we covered topics such as: The Rapture, The Tribulation, The New Heaven and the New Earth, and much more.
Knowing that most of them used to be catholic before, I asked them questions myself. And they told me many stories of persecution from Catholics in their area.

CATHOLIC PERSECUTION IN THE MOUNTAINS OF INTIBUCA
Many have said that the Catholic church has changed, and they no longer are guilty of such atrocities as the holocaust and the Spanish Inquisition. I don’t know what those people have been smoking, but all you have to do to see the Catholic church is just the same as she’s always been is to go to Honduras and speak to new converts. They’ll tell you that persecution is still alive and well.
I’ve heard stories like the following. One man told me, “Where I live, everybody is Catholic. When they found out that I accepted Jesus Christ as my Saviour and left the Catholic Church, they won’t talk to me, and they won’t sell me anything. I can’t even buy food! I have to travel a day or two away in order to buy food for my family!
Another said, “Catholics in my neighborhood tell everyone that I’m a bad father because I didn’t baptize my child. They say I just don’t care about my children!
Yet another told me, “They say I’m guilty of heresy for leaving the Catholic church and embracing salvation by grace through faith!
We’ve even heard stories of Catholics cutting off the thumbs of Bible believers, poisoning their animals, and even slashing their tires.
Though all this is horrible, nothing beats looking at the smiling faces of true Christians who have been persecuted and hearing them say things like, “But whatever they do to me, they can’t take my soul, and my mansion in heaven!

May God bless you and may you use your freedom from religious persecution to preach the Gospel and win many souls to Jesus Christ!
Sincerely,
Robert R. Breaker III
2 Timothy 4:2
The Lenca Indian people in the mountains of Honduras where we visited are known for their bashfulness, and seclusion. They very seldom speak, unless spoken to, and hardly ever open up to others. A person does well to get a “How do you do?” out of them.
Sometimes being a “Gringo” can be a blessing or a curse. As an American, most people in Spanish Speaking countries automatically think you are rich, and have need of nothing. As an evangelist to Spanish Speakers, I’ve never asked for an offering when I preach and teach, knowing that most people are so poor, they could not afford to give their hard-earned money.
While visiting and inviting people to a nightly evangelistic service in San Nicholas, Honduras, we happened upon a young man with a stick about eighteen inches long. I introduced myself, and asked him why he carried that small stick, about an inch and a quarter thick, and tapered to a dull point.
